Sorry Darth you are wrong:Swordsman, other than a dot using pikeman, is the best profession for pvp when fighting Jedi, and good overall, especially when speed capped. Pistols, when coupled with smuggler, is the best pvp combination in the game - with the obvious weakness when fighting a Jedi which block 80% of the shots fired at master saber



Swordsman alone sucks at pvp for one simple reason, not enough defense against KD and dizzy. I have killed three jedi, two knights, with my Swordsman/pistol char, without pistols though I get kd dizzy and beat on. And Pistols with smuggler does not compare to oh I dont know the rifleman/fencer template. I would prolly beat your pistoleer/smuggler with jsut my swordsman skills, and as I said swordsman is not good at pvp. There is one reason for this, the ability to heal. There is nothing a pistoleer/smuggler can do to me that wont get healed really fast. They do get a KD, which is null and void cause they dont have a dizzy, now if you did pistoleer/smuggler/TK that would be a whole different thing. Then you would be very good at pvp. BUt fencer/rifleman would still take you out

IF you want to listen to darthxadius that is fine with me, but trust me as a pistoleer smuggler you will have two good specials. Groin shot and last ditch. However you will lack accuracy and speed needed to compeat with today's pvpers. ALso you will be hitting random pools not mind. SO that means that I will heal up any damage you manage to do to me. You can land a groin shot but with a lack of dizzy it wont matter.Where as a Rifleman/Fencer would be able to get in close, use cob, kd dizzy me, back up and mind shot me to death. I am not saying that rifleman/fencer is the only thing you can pvp with but you need more defenses than just what pistols give you. Pistols does give alot of defenses, but if you coupled it with tkm you would be much better off. Go ahead and try pistols/smuggler if you want that. Then add in TKM and let me know if you still think he is right.

Darkstarr... sounds like you know what your doing, but 600+ dmg with last ditch?


have the people you did that to ever heard of 35-40% stun armor and psg's, and how psg's can be sliced.


i had a friend with a 700 damage geno who wasnt doing upward of 80 dmg a hit with last ditch.

my personal opinion is triple master is not what it used to be. The weapon delay ruined everything.


BH combo's are the only way to go now

I've tried the Pistoleer / Desperado / Rogue / N. Commmando template, and loved it until I tried high level PvE. For PvP it's pretty good - I'd say my skills were the limiting factor, not my template or equipment. I never got killed one on one, only when standing alone against multiple opponents.


I've since moved on to Pistoleer / TKM / Rogue, with extra skill points spent in scout for terrian negotiation and some Force sensitive skills. I only made the switch after I had enough pistol speed skill tapes to hit the speed cap without bounty pistols. With speed still capped, I'm really only missing eyeshot and the fire DoT from torso shot. For PvE especially, the extra defense is worth it. Add on about +25 in dodge attachments and +25 in melee defense attachments and I'm about as hard to hit as a stacked fencer.

Personally, I'm doing the all pistols template. Why? Because no matter if the triple master has better defenses, I *hate* melee. I'm having more fun focusing on pistols. I've tried all 4 melee professions, and I had exactly no fun playing any of them.

Triple combo is almost unmatched for PVE. I think it USED to be the best PvP template for pistols, but the delay has ruined that.

yea i have the pistol tamplate and i only lose in pvp when someone somehow manages to stick a dizzy on me, and i can still solo almost anything on dant.

Heh... I hit for 800-1200... With a Genosian sonic blaster.


Intimidated: 400-600

40% stun armor: 120-180

50% psg: 60-90

40% synthsteak: 36-54


Most people who PVP has these things so this would be a more correct calculation. Now If every single on of your shots during 10 seconds hit you will have done 360-540 damage. Your opponent will also recover about 200 points of damage during these second so that makes it: 160-340. Also remember your using last ditch which is random ham damage so it will spread out a bit over different ham bars making it even weaker. Im certain any novice medic will be able to heal away that amount of damage Darkstarr

Id say pistoler 4044 bh 0040 fencer 3440 when you look aat the stats they are much better than triple master or pistol master by a long shot
