I just went to the graveyard and the spawn was dead as usual due to those damn faction bases, but the static Ancient was up so my droid and I killed it.

I've seen Master Rifleman solo Ancient Krayts using improved stopping shot and then kneecap while waiting for the next stopping shot, he also had ranged arms to keep a long way away.

that's just cuz I can't design the krayts.


No one would be able to solo an ancient if I could design them.

I made a comment on a chef bug thread on the corr forum on how Pyro is "...useful for sticking Stopping shot on something big, like soloing krayts"


The very next post was Blixtev saying that my statement just made him cringe.


It's not supposed to be possible but I see various different templates doing it all the time.

I have a ranged arm but it seems to do nothing. I can still only fire my T21 at a distance of 65m

You should be able to go beyond 65m and still use specials, it just looks like you are out of range.

MOBs that aren't meant to be soloable are easy to fix.


1)give huge resistances to roots/snares.

2) give them a 65m daze+root effect (for the Krayt, think of the loud roar immobilizing the "victim" with fear.) Even more evil would be a straight up root that didn't break when it started eating you.


Badger, could you effectively soloa krayt if it resisted your snare more often than not? Even if it didn't resist, could you effectivelysolo it if it daze+rooted you so it could catch up and eat you (or is that put ketchup on you, then eat you)?

If it resisted edrain and when it resisted, the edrain was removed I would be mince meat, but the Rifleman with Stopping Shot and ranged arms would need Krayts with frickin laser beams to kill him.

I said roots and snares. Stopping Shot would be resisted too. As for the bionic arms distance... Give the krayt an 80m range on the root+daze roar.


If you are in range to shoot a krayt, you're in range to be paralyzed with fear by the krayt. (or gorax, or whatever.)


It'snot frickin laser beams on their heads, but it's still pretty damned cool.

I dont really depend on stopping shot all that much, it just makes reapplying drain easier.


I would just make them move faster, like an intermittant burst run.
