Hey, no lynching until the 21st, as that was the only ETA that came directly from me. It wasn't baseless; it came from actual information I had, but when that information was retracted I had to try to retract my own ETA 2 days after I gave it. I feel rotten about it (which is why I have a hard time joking about it) and think I deserve a little heat for jumping the gun, but I'm hoping forthright honesty helps you guys swallow the news.
I'm also going to warn you right now that the docs are probably going to be released in reverse order of juicyness, so you'll have to wait longer for the really good stuff. I don't know that for a fact, but it's something to be prepared for.

Ok, so I am lost now???
Not trying to be smart ass, but what is the new ETA on this trickle of info? Is it today (the 13th) or you just mentioned something about the 21st - not sure where that day came from?
Please help, I'm honestly confused as to when to expect any of this info.

Good bye pistoleer....helloo rifleman. this is getting ridiculous i have been holding onto my pistol for quite some time hoping things would change. it is now clear that i must go to a profession that is actually working now, not keep a broken profession with the hopes of promises that aren't broken.

Well It is Sept 23rd and I still have yet to see a single document about the revamp. What gives? Have we been lied to again?

I actually emailed Thunderheart about this, but I have not heard back from him. I mean, it's something that is going to change the very nature of the game, so we are all pretty interested in seeing this soon.
And yeah, it doesn't help that the correspondents get back from the summit and say "yeah, they are cool changes, but we can't say anything because SOE is going to tell you soon". Soon has turned out to be a mighty long time.
I think we will see JTLS before the combat revamp docs. Or another Britney Spears divorce.

I was kinda curious about this myself. I had heard we were going to hear something on a Tuesday, so I keep coming back in and finding nothing.

i am not positive on this but i believe TH had made a post or a reply somewhere stating that the documents are ready, that they are waiting ont eh timing to be right to do it. keep in mind JTL beta is unerway and they are constantly making changes in there, the developmentresources for properly debugging and balancing the new combat system probablywont be available at least until JTL is ready to go gold, any JTL may have a significant impact on the ground game as well, and thay may need to be accounted for before pushing the revamp as well etc... things are often farmore complicated to implement then they are to discuss and talk about. Im under the assumption that most of the combat revamp docs are somewhat based on what went onto test center last year before getting pulled, and that most is just plannign and theory, and a visoin of where things are going to fit in with each other. thats purely my assumption though. I think that after JTLis out, we are definatelygoing to see a lot more dev attention. Perhaps they are not spending a lot of time on messing with stuff now because the new system will be ready for testing soon, and that would take resources to develop fixes and balances on the current system, adn then counterbalances after all the whiners complain (which is a given from any side of a change, that some peopel will not be happy). anyway, tahts all for now, i need to go back to sleep.
