I like this idea, but with the Double DE-10s as Duel Wield Breaking even at Master, and Master being the level of Certification for the DE-10, it'd be pretty stupid for anyone to only use one DE-10

Make the DE-10 +125.

Honestly I couldn't care less about dual wield.

I'd rather ask for pistols with other types of damage (electricity for instance) and for specials able to target specific HAM pools.

I believe that the second hand should fire specials, and take the specials from the combat queue IMO. And the mixing of the high speed high damage with low speed low damage would be quite a strategy to use, although the downfall would be the fact that the low speed gun would be eating up your specials in the queue. Something compicated can be added to come up with say two combat queues and usingan unused key in combat (I dont know a specific example, but say insert button) hold down that button and hit the specials would go to gun #2 while normal pressing would go to combat queue for gun #1

I like the way you spelled out the skill system for dual wield. However the mechanics for dual wielding in combat would get a little complicated. First of all, weapons cannot fire at the same time. If your second hand weapon attack is linked to the primary then weapon speed for a second weapon is totally disregarded and then you get people putting lower speed weapons mixed with high dmg weapons and having em go off together. But if the weapons fire freely, how will that affect the combat queue? Will the second hand only fire normal shots, or will it take the special from the combat queue?

I did contemplate putting it like the CH has it, spread over the profession. But I like the way I designed, because if someone getsjust the grips line, they will not have the accuracy/speed a master would have, and plus not be able to dual wield the geo/DE-10 Pistols. Dabbling is part of the game, and everyone does it to an extent. I mean I put it this way soo a BH can dabble one line to get his scatter dual wield cert. This way he doesnt have to waste points if he doesnt want to. I dont see people doing what they do in say BH. We have about 5 master BH's per every 100 3/0/0/0 people. I dont see people doing this in pistoleer tho. I doubt many would be a 4/0/0/0 pistoleer to dual wield a republic blaster, but yet they wont take our accuracy/defense/speed lines. Just my thought on that subject.

I guess part of why I'd like to see it spread out is due to my opinions on how BH should be. I would have rather they left the requirements at Master scout and master marksman. Then give more benefits to being a master BH. I like the idea of a Master BH being a very strong offense profession who wears strong armor. Where as I have visions of a master pistoleer as someone who wouldn't wear armor due to their defensive abilities. But, in order to make this happen, they would have to revamp the armor/buff system. Buff's should be nerfed and armor encumbrance should be changed to effect our offensive/defensive skill mods instead of our sub-stats.

I totally get where your coming from Joukahainen. I liked the scout/marksman requirements. Although I figured, hey this is a nice temporary fix, give me time to actually try some of the other professions in this game. Then I realized "hey this is probably permanent fix". I would have loved just a plain revamp of our actually skill trees than being told "go play in another profession". Give us gadgets/working specials/and a master box worth more than flaunting the title is what I want

My alt was a bounty hunter and these changes made me decide to drop BH and give Pikeman a try. I have to say, pikeman is fun, but I wish they would have made Master Bounty Hunters someone who could live up to their reputation.

As far as spreading out goes, I'd like to see everything in general have far less in any of the boxes, but with slightly more in the top of each tree and a lot more in master. That way master gets made far more useful, desireable and.. well, a master. I'd like to see the same for dual wield

Gotta keep this thread alive!
