I'm glad it works well for you, Jcatano. You were so confident in it being stealth-fixed, that I spent a day testing it myself. It didn't jive with what you are saying.

I shrunk the radar down to 32m. Anything on the radar, I should be attacking it. I wasn't. Sometimes I would face 3 enemies, and after wearing one down to near death, I would look around and find 2 others minimally damaged. In some cases, unscathed. I would look in the combat logs and find that, sure enough, it was only attacking some of the targets some of the time. This wasn't just "your MTPS misses," this was a full blown failure to attack.I would zoom out the camera and watch multiple targets in a tight circle of enemies go damage-free on half of the shots fired. A tree would pass between me and one of the targets, and the special wouldn't fire at all. If I used it to open a fight with targets that weren't in combat, it would only attack one target 100% of the time. This sounds more like what we heard from both former Pistoleer correspondents and countless Pistoleers from both past and present.

For you to come along and tell me we are wrong, and that this special was magically fixed without patch notes and we just don't have any evidence of it because we're doing it wrong, well, I'm going to view those comments with a very scrutinous eye. I'm sorry. I tested it, and I'll test it again and again, but the description stands.

It works for me. I really don't know what to tell you. The screenshot proves it does. I'll take others if you'd like.

FYI.......I never said it was "magically fixed". Let's not turn this into a **edit**-and-moan fest. I simply said that I don't understand why people say it's broken. You should be able to understand that by the screenshot I provided.

I could turn around and say, "For you to come along and tell me I am wrong, and that this special is broken, although I have evidence that it isn't, well, I'm going to view those comments with a very scrutinous eye. I'm sorry. I tested it, and I'll test it again and again, but the description stands."

This looks exactly like the list that was submitted every time since the correspondent program was started. I think that Jaegen originally typed this out.

How many lists do you have to submit before they are looked at?

"Hello, pistoleers? This is SOE. We have gotten your application for profession status, and just wanted to let you know that we are not accepting any new positions at this time. We will keep your application on file, if anything in the future opens up."

good list. to maybe provide some clarification between fan shot and multi-target shot. according to the description in the skill tree (ctrl+s) in game: Fan Shot is supposed to hit 1 target multiple times (not multiple targets 1 time like it does). Multi-Shot I guess does what its supposed to... (i don't think its supposed to hit in a AoE, but more of a directional thing, just like fan shot works right now). my 2 cents...

# 1 on my list would have to be speed at master level. that was the big reason why i chose pistoleer to support combat medic. Since pistols dont do as much dmg as a rifle or carbine (rightfully so), they should make up some of that w/speed. being able to get off 2 special shots in between heals would be great... but i'm lucky if i can get off 1. for the dmg a rifle does, and the speed u get at master, i'd be better off going rifleman :/ ... but i will wait a while longer b4 I do this to see if anything is done in the next few months.

#2 fanshot - if this would work like it says in the game, it would VERY nice)

#3 pistolmeleedefense2 - would luv to see this work, especially in PvP, and actually have it keep an opponent down longer than the split second they are.

#4 bodyshot3 - increase the dmg done to a target

#5 double-pistol ability @ master level would be TOTALLY AWESOME !! would make all these other things seem trivial, if it worked properly. but, i know there's other things to fix first... just my wish

I've never seen stopping shot do a fan shot. Then again, I've never seen stopping shot do much stopping either.

A decent list, RandonB! Nice to meet you. When I left 6 months ago, it was Jaegen doing things round these parts. Congratulations on your escalation to correspondant on one of the most ill-loved professions in the game. (Trust me. Master Dancers have it pretty bad too.) I was rather hoping that giving the dev-ils 6 months to implement some love for our much maligned profession would have been enough time. I'm rather saddened to come back half a year later to see mostly NOTHING has been done for us. But I can hope, right?

As to #8, on the subject of a decent gun worthy of the Master Pistoleer box, I did a thread a while back, the link to which you may see in my signature. I delved into the histories of some of the weapons that never worked as well as they should. (The Tenloss DX-2, The Merr-Sonn Q2) But as well, I offered suggestions for other weapons and certs that might be worthy of a Master Pistoleer. Among which were:

The Bryar Pistol (Kyle Kataarn's beginning weapon from Dark Forces/Jedi Knight)
The Merr-Sonn Munitions IR-5 'Intimidator' (REALLY fast Full-Autopistol)
The Kelvarek Consolidated Arms 'Dissuader' KD-30 (A true ACID based Slugthrower)
The Merr-Sonn Model 434 'DeathHammer' (An intimidating pistol cert to get with Stopshot?)
The Blas-Tech T-6 'Thunderer' Heavy Blaster Pistol (A weapon that does MAD bleed damage?)
The Verpine Shatter Gun (For kinetic damage, you really can't do better than a railgun)
The Merr-Sonn MSD-32 Disruptor Pistol (The FIXED version of the Tenloss DX-2)

Any one of these weapons can be found in the reference books that the devils very obviously referenced to give us the certs we have now. They didn't get everything right, but it's a start, isn't it? If you'd like to see my write-ups on the suggested weapons in the thread I wrote, try this link:

Some of you will remember this thread as I've seen some of your sigs in it already. Others of you may want to give it a look over. If the dev's won't show you any love, I certainly will. ^_^!

IMHO one of the biggest issues with pistoleer is the fact that the newer tougher mobs are all coming out with either medium or heavy armor to counter the armor ratings of the weapons from the other professions while pistoleers are stuck with the extra damage reduction with only 2 weapons with a measly light armor rating. To make it even worse many of the tougher mobs have a very high resist to these 2 weapons that pretty much negate their armor rating. I carry pretty much one of every gun that I am certed for and I feel like I may as well be using a slingshot. In fact I am also a TKM and many times if the mob is 100% kinetic resist I feel that I am much more useful standing there and just absorbing damage than trying to shoot anything. Even if the speed vs damage issues are addressed the armor ratings will still be killing pistoleers. The devs should not be penalizing the professions without high armor ratings by making mobs tough enough to challenge the professions with high armor ratings. If anything they should be increasing the resists to the specific high armor rated weapons instead of making so many heavy armor mobs that pistoleers can barely tickle.

I just want Twirly moves... if I had twirly moves, everything else could be nerfed... as long as before I die... I do a Twirly move, and holster my pistol before some imp DB's me, because my 'uber' profession has been nerfed because a few n00bs screamed that there was no way to beat me, and I should be nerfed. Yeah... twirlymoves... all would be right with the world if I had them.

Any inkling as to when we'll get any of this, or is it the fabled remark...
