Jeaux you can't ignore the speed mods or armor piercing, true when you look at just the weapons damage and attack speed of a pistol vs a rifleit does looks likethe pistolhas the advantage.But you know full well that when taking into account the speed mods for master rifleman and add in the extra AP of the rifle weapons that the rifle does indeed far out damage the pistol.
The devs have themselves already admitted this, thats why they proposed the hard speed cap for different weapons awhile back.Unfortunatley it appears to be on the back burner atm, but don't you worry it will come.
As for master rifleman believeing their insane speed is their reward for having to do the rifle grind with a slower weapon at lower leves heres an idea, why don't you guys push to get your speed mods which are top heavy in the rifleman tree spread out a bit so as to make the grind more bearable at lower levels.Because once the speed caps go in place having all that speed mod at the top isn't going to help you much when your hitting the hard cap
yeah master pistoleer shouldnt miss 20 shots in a row even if he did have that crazy template. and there was a master rifleman too at rifle range. they were both really pissed that 1 guy got them and 2 others.
imho opinion there should be a cap on defenses like there is on dodge and block.
I wish people would stop complaining about how much harder it is to "grind" up in rifle skills. I did my rifle skills for marksman in about8 hours of play. My pistols skills took me more than 16 hours.
The difference comes from 1-2 shot killing stuff witha rifle, or 6-8 shots to kill stuff with my pistol.
but still a master rifleman fires as fast, hits harder, and is just as accurate as a master pistoleer. his t21 eats right through comp armor. a pistol doesnt even if its krayt made. pistoleer has bad ranged defense and the dodge sucks against a master. carbineer well ya know GIMP. +60 speed at master. no defenses. no love for the carbineer. ![]()
Keep in mind that the depletions from a rifleman's specials aren't healable. Also, when they can't be roused from the mind incaps they are so prone to. This is probably one reason that they are getting an edge in evasion right now.
When the new HAM depletion model for specials goes live, this will not be so much of an issue anymore because nobody can heal the HAM from special depletions anymore. As part of this implementation, rifleman probably need to be taken down a notch or two just to keep things balanced.
Just my opinion... don't want to tick anyone off.

And no, I'm pretty happy with defensive mods stacking up. Thats the price they pay for having to grind up about 6 tree's of combat exp.
No one forced you to gank someone that kicked your asses, perhaps you weren't prepaired for a fair fight, considering you were going at it 4 on 1.
Who cares if we have the best DPS if I go down in one secondwith one well placed head shot.
