BTW, with fan shot, which dungeon do you prefer to hunt in? Some people have said the tusj=kan fort, others have said the squill caves, some have said the mite tunnel on talus, and still others have said the munitions factory on naboo (the Stormtrooper dungeon).

I was thinking of going to Canada with fan shot. As long as I can stay away from the kinetic damage of the hockey sticks, I will be fine, since Canada is not a real country... LOL. J/K

umm okay yeah fan shot = uber elite xp= equals robbing loot rights= taking on things you probably shouldn't be taking on.

Was master pistoleer and bh pistol 4 for a very long time. firstly fan shot if used wisely or with the right gun is way more effective than any other shot we have. it shoots quicker than stopping shot, will shoot more targets and does only slightly less damage. i often find if i am trying to kill 6 targets encircled around me if i run in a smaller cirle i wll be able to catch all of them consistently inside my fan. secondly because it shoots faster you can do it against a single target and it can be just as effective as stopping shot.

now multi-target pistol shot..thats a waste of time and it should be completely and utterly scrapped and exchanged for more speed . BTW if you are bh pistol 4 and master pistol fan shot does about 1k of damage a second to as many targets as you feel like hitting ....so uselss no... ask the commando i used to steal loot rights from in thr force crystal caves if fan shot is worth a crap. one second he is talking smakc after the kill hes eating his words

waste of time...whatever! fan shot rocks. although, for a while i was a master pistoleer with a .5 speed fwg5 and couldn't be touched using stopping shot. everyone was telling me "any gun under 1.0 speed is the same as a 1.0 speed gun" i say that's b.s. because i couldn't spam stopping shot fast enough to keep up with it!

I have found Fanshot to be awesome. It works best if you are kiting multiple mobs. What i do is get three or four mobs chasing me while i run around that way they are all bunched up behind me and then i just spam fan shot and watch them all drop.

Pistoleer is one of the best run and gun professions in the game if your wasting your time standing in one place while the mobs surround you, you are not using your skills to the fullest.

If fan shot sucks then why can I take on 5 anglers with it while or do the last part of act II alone or be able to take on the whole planet of rori? Pikets suck period for killing. High HAM, high resists. Savage quenkers=exp giants. A lot of exp(keep a droid or something i your group and you get more exp), like 5k HAM, easy kills.

Well there's your problem ... Pickets suck for pistol xp!!! Why? Their resists to heat, acid, and energy (the 3 primary damages of pistoleers) are as high as 50-75% depending on what kind of picket. Use a DX2 and go after huurtons, you'll see the difference.

As for body shot 3 ... is it still bugged?If it is, you do more damage in the same amount of time as body shot 2, and with less of a HAM cost. Thus, body shot 3 = sucky and fanshot > body shot 3.

And for stopping shot ... it does random high damage to a single target. Fanshot does random, semi-high damage to a single target, and massive random damage to a mob. So it would seem, stopping shot would be better for a single target, but wait ... because stopping shot has such a huge speed hindrance and doesn't really 'stop' anything, fanshot still comes out on top. Thus, stopping shot = sucky and fanshot > stopping shot.

If you can't seem to get fanshot to work right for you ... hmmm, MAYBE YOU'RE NOT USING IT RIGHT!!!!

Maybe I'm not using stopping shot right, but one thing is for sure, fanshot does not suck at all.

I meant to say "If it is, you do more damage in the same amount of time WITH body shot 2, and with less of a HAM cost."

i dont got time to read all the crap about fan shot being weak but if you think fan shot is weak your just not very smart and dont understand how the special works.

It is a area attack hell i once got buffed wore some armor and made over 450k pistol exp in less than 3 hours just going on dant and unloading on a bunch of rancors.

If i remeber correctly i hit about 1k-2k with fan shot on average and at random pool if you use it on 5 targets your dishing out around 10k damage a shot and if you got the stances line thats 10k dmg every second, also fan shot has a very kind delay mode unlike ss.

Fan shot is great, and is prob the best pistol move in the pistoleer tree period.

also a side not pikets dont suck for pistol exp and in fact regular pikets are vuln to heat, and even though the greater plains pikets have i think 20% heat they also have no armor rating.

Now the female pikets those things you should just run away with i think they have crazy heat and energy reistence

I use fan shot with most any pet from my datapad tank'n and I do just fine. I send the pet in, let it get all the agro then /assistpet,healthshot 2,and spam fan shot.The whole group of mobs drop VERY quickly. So what's the problem?

I just got fanshot today and it halved my mission time on Dantooine. Use the right weapon for the job and its awesome. I took on some huurtons, voritors, and bols with no problems thenI ran into a couple force sensitive mobs(just like the force chrystal hunter from waterfall mission) just outside the mining outpost and toyed with them before logging.

Its my new favorite,I still use Last Ditch to finish off the last mob but I realizedits too slow against a group pretty quickly. Oh yeahI soloed all day with some doc buffs(bad ones Health and Action below 1000) and with out pets. Its all about your strategy.
