If you want the goodies from rifle, you are a day and a half's grind from master.

What sand crab crawled up your gaping saarlac of a crevice you call a butt? If you think this is complaining take your butt over to the jedi forum once. Every other post is a complaint about something. Do yourself and all of us a favor and shut your hole.

So are you saying that this post isn't a bunch of bitching and complaining because it is not jedi doing it? Guess again friend. The author of this post, and many of the others who post here. Go back and look at it. He dismisses pistoleer defences as though they don't exist. Melee and ranged defences don't do much against accurate attacks, and that is all riflemen get, unless you want to count defence against posture up.

I don't pretend that pistoleer doesn't suck ass compared to rifle, but it is not like the situation is beyond our control. If you all cannot understand the concept of gettingout of a profession you hate, here is a suggestion for you. Go carbineer (without any help from BH), then write up a comparison to pistoleer. Once you are done bitching about the inadaquacies of that profession, you can re-grind pistoleer. Being able to speed cap a couple of weapons will feel so good, you will actually enjoy pistoleer for a little while. Unfortunately, you will only be happy for a couple of days before your little weiner syndrome causes you to once again look at rifle with lusty eyes.

Rifles is not hard to do. 15 hours tops. Especially if you have 300k combat exp from pistols. Get 0003 rifles and go to town witharea dizzy. Run faction missions, and when the imps or rebs change postures (like they always do), you can shoot them like fish in a barrel. The truth is, any combat profession is easy to master (other than BH because you need to do investigation). Hella boring true, but easy as pie. Why should the devs give you credit toward going to new professions when it is easy to COMPLETELY change your template.

The moral of this story is stop being a victim, go to work, and grind smart.

a) Riflemans the longest grind Ive ever done its stircrazily boring. BTW Investigation (without mounts) easier than Rifleman.

b) OMFG +Dodge+ you stupid gungan halfbreed.

Rifleman gets 75% speed at 0004. Four boxes worth 445.5k Combat XP you know the thing you only get as 10% of your actual weapon XP. Now to be fair the poor old Pistoleer only gets +59 for the same boxes & XP.

Well that sucks oh wait RIFLES HAVE 8.0 speeds & pistols have 2.0, 3.0 if their really bantha poodoo. So by the time a rifleman can be firing at once every 2 seconds your pistoleers firing once every second. My heart frikken bleeds for you.

+Dodge+ ahh how I miss thee, Dodge NEGATES any attack. Block stops half the damage & you take the state. Should I repeat that?

i wouldn't class anything worse than the inv grind that's for sure lol. dodge can be more a pain in the @$$ than helpful, like when you line yourself up to use fan shot on a group of npc's only to dodge a small attack and then bam you hit about 50 other critters cause the gay little dodge sidestep threw off your alignment, also it's little animation can get you in trouble in PvP And take into account you don't dodge all that much....

O btwa rifle'sspeed doesn't matter too much to a master seeing as they spam master headshot once a second just fine, in fact there are times when even a master pistoleer can't spam certain attacks at once a second

O don't forget the $@#% jawa ion rifle that is a marksmen weapon that out classes basically all other ranged weapons in PvP

I really don't see any point to what you're are saying.....other than trying to make us feel better

First of all, tiewalker, go blow yourself, and stop making rifleman like me look bad.

second, you n33d +93 riflespeed to spam HS3 once a second. with master marksman, you can do it.

Third, I can't hit a pistoleer for sh!t using a jawa.

Fourth Oh yea, Tiewalker, are you blowing yourself yet?

I think once you get conceal shot i think its called, or there is a rifle shot that is the rifle equivilent of fanshot but does massive damage, then the xp will come faster. Like i said im not sure i only have pistols and when i did a little rifleman, i dropped it for other ventures.

I was a Master Pistoleer for quite some time...

Eventually I got tired of not being able to take on higher end mobs so I switched to Rifleman.

I have 140 sp tied up in Master Ranger, so I can only afford one Elite combat profession.

I had fun as a Pistoleer, but didn't want the other professions to augment pistols.

In my case, Rifleman fits better. I just don't like the Melee Stormtroopers...

I'm almost 3/1/2/2 as Rifleman and can't put them down before they come after me. Hopefully that'll change as I advance!

I agree totally.

I was a rifleman before going back to pistol and it was hard for me to do so.

I don't like playing as a rifleman for the simple fact that the rifle works like a pistol. I always been a pistol person but then I thought: It would be fun to use a rifle maybe. So I mastered rifleman only to find out it is no different then pistols in the way you can be right in front of someone and shoot them.

Ususally with a rifle your far away from the target and snipe... Not the case with SWGs version of the rifleman. The rifle works just like a pistol except for the advantages they have which are already stated on the first post of this thread.

The ONLY way a pistoller can get at all close to being compared to rifleman is by wasting SP to get BH pistol. And even then there is still an advantage to the Rifleman not to mention the rifleman has more SP left over to invest in either another professian or one to compliment rifleman.

Pistoller really needs to be worked on as many specials do not work and/or do not enough damage to be a higher level special.

And with the pistols speed, accuracy and damage... If dual wielding was implemented it wouldn't be bad at all. But without dual wielding they need to better both the pistol mods and the pistol stats.

Meh dual yieldings ridiculous.

I think pistoleer desperately needs effective specials but this dual yield craps a joke.

Unless your ambidextrous using two weapons at once will not improve your chances of inflicting damage.

On EQ2 dual wielding works quite nicely. But of daggers and the like, that is. lol
