I would go with asking what their vision they have for pistoleers, its pretty important when we can only do AP1 damage and they keep adding AR2 and 3 mobs with massive HAM and resists.

No really I'd like to know if the combat revamp will revamp our specials and make us more useful against the uber MOBs they've been adding to the game. Most particularly if we will get any state effects. I mean carbine fullauto1 in the marksman tree can land about all of them at once. I think they could spare a stun, dizzy, or blind to one of our higher level specials.

i was having more fun with the status effects that marksman carbines 2 gives than i was having as a 4243 pistoleer...

Since Pistoleers are suppose be fast moving and fast hitting type of combat profession, do you invision us getting a bonus to terrain negotation so that we can actually be fast moving without having to spend the same points other professions do for Scout Skills? If we are suppose to move fast, then why not give us a bonus to help keep us alive. Perhaps we should have some sort of special armor with lower encumbrance and then apply what our Quickness stat is as a bonus to terrain negoation?

Hmm lets see... things that I've always wanted to know

1) How did they come up with the current pistols for the game?

2) Why is the DL-44 pistol, probably the most famous pistol in Star Wars, such a bad pistol for us?

3) How come the DH-17 pistol (I think thats what it is called)looks exactly like the CDEF carbine?

I know there a couple more but I can't think of them at the moment.

Is there any chance of change the DE-10 to an AP2 weapon and maybe cold damage?

Why bother wasting our time acting like anything is being worked on? I've been master pistoleer since last July and can tell you that the SAME specials are STILL broken. If nothing was tested in Beta and nothing has been fixed so far,why should we bother wasting our time asking questions? It doesn't take a genius to realize that multi target pistol shot (our master special) has been broken from DAY 1 and remains broken. Can you honestly tell me that questions to thunderheart are what we really need? rofl

My question would be about the guns themselves, we have all the same damage types, energy, energy...

when lucky we can get an acid one, or heat one... we even have a kinetic one (yes yes, we have one), and sometimes we can get so lucky we get an armor piercing light... oh.. let me remind something... yes that's it, we can onlydeal damage with AP1 on the most protected types... well ok, we've got the Geonosian Blaster that deals stunn and that is the first great step towards some improvement.

But what about some cold damage? or restraint? or electricity? would that be so difficult to change the DL44 to Electric and the Tangle to Cold ?

May seem kinda trivial, but why the title change at the master box?


I clearly remember it being 'Master Gunfighter' and now it reads 'Master Pistoleer'


Personally I liked the old title, I know there were some other title changes in other professions, but I think we got shafted on this one. Can the master title be changed back to the old?

Note about the sonic blaster: Yes, it's a step in the right direction, but through the wrong terrain; If you've ever tried to do the Geo cave as pistoleer without any melee classes, you've probably died horribly at least four or five times before giving up (I had to drop BH and pick up swordsman so I could take the Geo Lab -sigh-). The weapons that make pistoleer useful in PvP again should not be ones that are impossible to acquire; after all, stun batons, jawa ion rifles, and CM poisons and disease don't require any special work...

What I would ask is are he broken specials getting fixed as part of the combat rebalance, or are they still going to be broken once the balance is applied...?

I mean the combat balance is great and all but without first fixing the broken specials it seems to be a bit of a waste to me.


Here ya go, we balanced the combat classes, and your broken specials are still broken...but hey, they are balanced


Fix the specials now, balance them later!

Carbineer got their stuff fixed without having to wait months for a balance patch, why cant pistoleer which is much more broken than carbineer was?

we have more damage types than any other profession (except for bounty hunter which has access to all of our damage types anyway).....
energy, stun, kinetic (the ONLY ranged with kinetic), acid, heat


carbineers get heat, energy, and acid


rifleman get cold, stun, energy, and recently, acid


commandos get blast, energy, acid, cold


teras kasi get kinetic.... yes, tha'ts IT, with the new deathwatch they'll get heat also, they are also penalized by the AP1 restraint as we are


fencers get kinetic and stun and the same AP1 restraint


swordsman get blast, kinetic


pikeman get energy, kinetic, electricity


our lack of AP is more than made up by the fact we can deal damage in the most damage types available
