Thread: Status Update
I like the new direction youre going with the defense and dodge mods not working, thats a really great thing to point out. Dont forget though that many of us want a new cert. at Master pistoleer, and think the skill points required to hit master pistoleer justify an "All pistols cert".

A weapon that goes over 1000 max damage is also preatty powerful since it will break the 10k hit mark in PvE, which is more damage then a 4.0 AE will do in one shot

The PVP-oriented change is that people wanted Stopping Shot Lite and didn't care about a shot's utility in PVE. PVE concerns (and especially shots useful for group situations) go out the window and attention is directed at the most angry posters, who seem strictly focused on PVP (and soloing).
In most occasions, people who push for great additions to PVE get trumped by people who only think about PVP. As for Fan Shot, many people cried about wanting to return to the old days ofhitting a single target, not the ones standing right next to it (which would subsequently aggro), because they just want to stand in place spamming shots rather than considering angles and range. They just wanted a Stopping Shot Lite. Well I LOVE Fan Shot, and even if it's complicated, it's one of the best shots you can imagine when out adventuring with a group. If it gets changed to the way it used to be, it's just another worthless random HAM shot to me, which is al Pistoleers reallyhave anyway.

Yes, but every other gun profession has one of these at lower level than Pistoleers. So, why is it "too powerful" for us to have an AE shot, at a higher level on the tree?

Yep, I guess the "big guns" can handle AE shots, us little pistoleers apparently aren't supposed to.

Please fight to keep Fan Shot as it is today in the live environment.
Combat Medics are the ones always telling people that their poisons aren't that powerful, people just need to spread out. Well, the same goes here.
The Fan Shot AOE change isone of the few things that's actually given me any hope at all that the devs might fix all the broken things with Pistoleer. It was actually an improvement (rather thananother nerf) which is becoming all too rare these days in this game.
