Hello.

My char is human pistoleer (0/4/0/3)and he is a Rebel. I had a Republic pistol made for me tonight and when I examined the pistol, I noticed that in the certified line it said Certified:No and when I looked in my chars pistoleer skill tree I saw no listing for the Republic pistol certification and whats really strange is thatwhen every timeI equiped my char with the Republic pistol I got no message saying that Iwas not certified to use it and when I did use it on a target, It seemed to work just fine for me. What gives?

I have been following this post hoping somewhere in the thread lies the answer to why some people have the cert and some do not. Without any word from the devs on what makes one qualified to use the blaster, its impossible to tell exactly why some people could use it an others could not. I scoured every single combat profession for a cert listing and can find no such thing. I am a zabrak pistoleer 0 2 2 1 working my way up to master. I had a Krayt Republic Blaster custom made using 3 tissues @ 50k each. The crafting of the blaster itself cost me 200k. Now I am supposed to just trash it because the devs can't go in and fix the database? What is the point of having something made that upon patching makes it worthless?

I also would like to point out that the patch message states that under the CONTENT section the republic blaster cert has been fixed. So here are my questions: Is the cert for this blaster a quest? if it is, has anyone done the quest? Is the cert race restricted? I am hearing numerous reports of people that have brand new characters that start with the blaster cert. I hope the devs are reading. If you look at some of the other threads you should know by now that our "uber" pistol the DX2 is crap at best, it's resisted by way too many mobs, try hunting on Lok for example with a DX2...

I would like to see some attention to our profession sometime in the near future, I don't need to point out all the details, our amazing correspondent has done a wonderful job of it.

Praying for a real fix to this situation...

I am in the same boat as you. I too had a Krayt Republic Blaster made out of high-quality tissues and materials at great expense. I was fully aware of the risk, however. I just figured that once the certification was fixed, all pre-existing weapons would respond to it. I guess this is not the case, and I lose. Unless I can get some sucker to purchase it somewhere down the line... lol j/k that would be wrong.

Now I havent had a chance to log in yet and check this out, but according to the patch notes the Republic Blaster certification is now FIXED!!!!!

If this is true, it might just make up for the FWGF nerf....just maybe. Very good news if this is true, Im holding my breath now for a chance to get in game (stupid work).

My Correspondent Forum thread is up to 12 posts ... hopefully I'll get an answer for us.

I do find it very frustrating to spend time and money on items and then not be able to use them.

I know there are others that feel the same way. We all pay for the game, and I think we all have expectations that just aren't being met. I think its fair that we would expect weapons that work, and certifications to be available to us.

Lets hope things happen soon.
