Great going, very useful


It's somewhat depressing though that the most dps a pistoleer has at their disposal is a melee attack :/

I like what you did here, this is a pretty useful tool that will benefit many people, especially the newbie's.


I actually started to write a program a couple of months ago (inspired by kodan's profession calculator) that was similar to what you have here but mine was a little more detailed.At first it was gonna be for my own personal use because I wanted to know what weapon would be more effective vs each kind of mob, so I had a feature that included the targets resist, armor and other things.Then after I saw so many post asking questions about speed, damage, resist..etc, I had decided to make it available for everyone after I was finished writing the program.....but.....disaster struck..


My girlfriend was fooling around with my computer when I was at work and somehow f'd up my hard drive.....I lost everything on both drives and had to do a completereinstall of everything including win xp..... needless to say I was furious, I lost lots of programs and files that can't be replaced....the worst part was that I was gonna back up everything that weekend......well, she's banned from my PC now....gave her a new lap top and told her to go mess that up....lol.


Anyway, I wasn't gonna rewrite the program because I basically know from experience which of my weapons is better in particular situations for my character to use and what kind of damage I will expect from each weapon.Though, after seeing your calculator , I just may start writing a new program. except this time I will back up my HD each time I add something new....


One thing I would like to know though is where did you get all the speed and damage modifiers from for each of the professions you've done so far. I have found the ones for ranged weapons but haven't seen many for melee weapons. Also, how accurate is that information.....I have the stats of lots of stuff dating back to september 2003.

After some experimentation, I seem to heave stumbled across a fact I did not already know: A Master Pistoleer+ BH Pist 2 is all you'll need to cap out speed with ANY pistol? (+100 pistol speed skill mod)


Can that be right? No point in a speed mod over 100?

This is AWESOME.


Can I have the php source? I do not intend to pass it off as my own, I just want to have this for my own use in case your site goes down.

i noticed HealthShot 1 and 2 are missing...


Since they now attack their intended pool, they should be included, IMO.


Also adding in the effects of Armor, and resists, vulnerabilities would make this totally UBER.

No, we should get 90, just like riflemen do.... or should they get 74 then?

Healthshot 1 & 2 with the new numbers have been added in. They are now IMHO some of our best attacks.

Once again I would like to remind everyone that the lack of calculation for AP/AR, PVP Reduction, etc. is intentional. They do not modify the relative damage between specials at all, and therefore are not helpful in comparing the effectiveness of two specials. When they are added in, they only serve to add more useless boxes to the calculator that distract from the actual important ones--who wants to fill out 20 boxes instead of 4 to get the exact same results.

Man I really need to get up to 100 pistol speed it looks like. I am not capping out at 1.0 on some of my cool specials like Last Ditch. We should get 84 instead of 74 at master.

Added in the 1.5x output damage bonus so people would stop complaining about it (even though it is statistically irrelevant for comparing specials).

Also added 1hsword and 2hsword from the numbers in their forums.

Rem I use this thing constantly and Ive been waiting for you to get swordsman on there sweet-I hope you can, and want to, get the rest of them too. I reccomend this thing to a lot of ppl too and italways helps.
