What am I missing? Whatever it is no one uses it....ya, I can really see that the most of your rifles are assault rifles, a whole 2 of them...And you get no real sniper moves? Flushing shot, sniper shot..hell, you get bonuses to being covered, which means prone and sniping...how you can not see that you're meant to be SNIPERs is beyond me.
Assualt: CDEF, DLT20, E11, Jawa Ion, (Spraystick and SG82 are clearly not sniper by any means, but i would also not call them assualts)
Sniper: T21, Tusken. If you compair the gun in the game(All SW games not just this one)/movies these are the only ones that are true sniper rifles.
As to being prone, rifleman(RL) using assult rifles often go prone to have better aim and to have some cover, as do people on hvy machine guns, this has nothing to do with sniping. In truth snipers move often shoot from their knees. This truely not being at all why i would say we are not snipers. I would say that because of range and dmg. Our range is nothing, what 14m more then a carbineers? give us 150m(Real life range is normally 100m in urban areas(cops) to 1000m(Army style, this in avg not max) give us a 1000m range and then call us snipers. As for the dmg part, snipers normally go for 1 hit to kill any thing other then that would be a failer. So, if you want to call us a sniper let me take some ones head off from 1000m in 1 hit
other wise, we are rifleman, we use assult rifles which are full auto.

He never assumed everyone in the profession was like that but merely tried getting a feel of how more pistoleers feel towards their and other professions.
He stated pretty clearly that he knows not every pistoleer is like that...twice.
so unless your just talking about ranged and melee defense it dosnt do much at all to stop a TKM from knocking you down in one hit and smacking the crap out of you...
you did bring up an interesting point while you were whining about riflemen though, how many people do you know that can hit somone 60feet away with their bare hands?

Get a clue. Some of use don't live in the POI city. When one ONE cantina in the galaxy is ever stocked it makes this impractical. If I have to hunt on say Yavin IV, I'm suposed to haul my butt to Dantooine first?

The devs have said that they are going to try to balance things. I believe they see that some classes are working better than others and that some are not working quite as they had intended. Some professions have already been clipped, some repeatedly. Pistoleer has had a number of things done to them in that regard. In contrast, rifleman and TKA were in need of some fixing a while back and got some much needed attention from the developers. Now, it seems to me that in a lot of ways the professions don't always balance their strength vs skill points required as well as the devs would like. In addition some matchups in PvP may be quite disastrous for one profession or another as a result.
I don't think rifleman or TKA need to be nerfed, but perhaps they are a bit more effective in certain situations than was intended. Perhaps it is simply that some of the other classes are just less effective than they are supposed to be right now.
Anyway you want to look at it, if things do get balanced (well or not well) in the near future, a lot of people are going to feel nerfed anyway. Anytime you lose effectiveness, you may feel that way. Many of us have seen specials rendered useless because people were complaining about them... that certainly is a nerf.
Finally, many times when people complain because they got beat, and scream for a nerf... they really got outsmarted or were just plain unlucky. Tactics and probability play a role in every encounter. How many of the players out there are intelligent and mature enough to realize and accept that? Well, it isn't as close to 100% as we'd like.
I'm a master pistoleer who doesn't fear master riflemen at all, but I do respect them. I know I'm not going to win every confrontation with them, but I'm not going to lose them all either. Win or lose, a fight between these two masters only lasts a couple of seconds, so don't make a mistake.

From what I've seen it is master riflemen, master marksmen, the meditation tree in Teras kasi (as well as the precision tree for mele/ranged deffence), the deffence tree in Fencer, and probably the deffence tree in Pistoleer, with novice medic...even for a master Teras Kasi I could only hit the guy 1 out of ever 4 punches. And the guy has insane dizzy deffence since even when I hit him with it he'd just stand up with dizzy still on...

Try telling that to Bounty Hunters who spam eye shot or Riflemen who don't hardly get hit once in a battle. I think you need to come off of cloud nine and recognise the facts here. I'm not crying nerf or anything like that, but I am saying Pistoleer does need some serious fixing. If you deny that, well then I'm at a loss for words.
I don't fear Rifleman but that's only because I have all of the Smuggler specials, I'll tell you what-- if I didn't have Smuggler I wouldn't think twice about dueling or fighting a rifleman as a Pistoleer.

Amen to that brotha...
With the Smuggler specials it makes Pistoleers right on par with both Rifleman and Carbineers (if they dont' kill themselves).
I am not afraid to duel of PvP Any class in the game at all.
I have lost only to FOTM Defense Templates, and when I am out numbered 5:1

OK, so you have a problem with the uber template people.. and you're not alone, but I'm not sure why you've chosen to single out Rifleman as the problem. TKM is also part of the specific template that's so powerful..
