LoL, ever do much PvPing with yer Pistoleer? You aren't that tuff. I have been a Master since August and knowith what I talkith about.


I hate to think of dropping pistoleer as I am no holo-crack addic as some, but when I can't kill PvE mobs that drop loot werth a crap and get DBed left and right PvPing I think something might have to change.


Tell ya what, head to Dathomir and takeon some higher lvl Night Sisters. Like anything above Outcasts and watch how useless you really are.

actually slamdunker, i got real lucky soloing 2 NS rangers as a MCM/ M Pistoleer.


yes i was buffed in all stats, and had only moun in me , (at the time i didnt know about brandy). the fight came down to last hits, and the posion really saved me.( i DONT double stack my dots).


and i was able to solo a bull rancor w/o a problem that same day just before the NS fight.

Well granted I have pre nurfed pistols, but if you think we are usless at pve, you are just dead wrong. My friend and I hunt ER and I solo them with ease. Just for the fun of it last night 2 ER levels were very close to one another and I hit them both agrroed about 10 rancors. Was wearing ubese armor 74% and was buffed. I popped a little air cake for the fun of it and I was barely touched.

On pvp I will tell you this as well. On my template which is Master Rifle/Master Pistol/DF/ TK 4-0-0-3, I experimented with a good friend of mine that has stun protection on his helmet and none on his chest plate. I didnt move and he pulled out his master fencer. Our templates are the same except I have pistol and he has fencer. I never moved and he hit me with blinds and scatter hit which goes right through defences. I beat him easily with the geo pistol. He was running COB too.


Why did I beat him. Really 2 reasons. The biggest was intimidate. For a pistoleer its a must or you cant hit a fencer. Second seems like many on our server only have stun protection on the helmet because of encumberances. The geo pistol is good if it can go right through the armor. If my buddy would have had stun armor on and a good shield he would have beat me. If they would give the geo pistol ap1 it would help us a lot too. Anyway just one test I thought was interesting..

Your forgetting one thing Morath... Geo has no armor piercing! The Uber Geo Pistols are without a doubt really really great, but all it takes is warcry or panic shot to close the gap and your a dead man when it comes to anyone who knows what they are doing especially a melee profession.

Oh yeah, you guys make it sound like beating NS or Bull Rancors is a big deal and that in itself is pretty funny. A TKM, which I use the most because it is the most effective, can take on 6 NS's at the same time with armor, and about 4 or 5 Bull Rancors without armor. There is a problem here and we need to realize that-- so do the devs!

ok i'm a fencer and a pistoleer and i say i prefer to fight with one-handed weapons over pistolsfor one big reason PISTOLS ARE REALLY BAD, take the fact one of the best(if not the best) pistoleer speacials, fanshot, has a cone of damage this means that if i don't stay lined up prefectly when i shoot i arggo about 10 other NPC which is very bad in the geo bunker. Also pistol have the lowest DPS of basiclly any other pure combat profession, plus our dodge is gay i mean i'll walk into another room when i'm fighting because we move when we dodge.



P.S. If u have a fencer friend that can get killed by a pistoleer either A. u have a REALLY good gun or B. u where kiting or C. your friend is a novice fencer or D. your friend drained his mind pool by over doing it with his stun baton and u got a lucky mind hit

Try kiting if the other person has Master Brawler at what is it 20m or just novice brawler at 10m and then you'll see. Or if the person has Low Blow, Panic Shot or Warcry your kiting won't last, andif they are buffed with armor a pistol is useless except in the hands of a BH with eyeshot. Then again with Vesarian brandy, canapeand a helmet vs. acid that doesn't even matter much in the long run.

Melee Lunge 1 at Novice Brawler has a range of 20 meters, not 10. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. It is an indisputable fact. I've seen it with my own eyes, when I played around with brawling. With lag of course, you can sometimes get the Out of Range message as close as 17m.


I also think any Brawler who doesn't pick up Master Brawler should give it serious thought, even if only for the specials there. They are much more effective than their weaker counterparts in Novice Brawler.

I don't know.. If lunge 2 is 18m max, why would lunge 1 be a further distance? It would make lunge 2 useless. Unless it's a bug, then you're just exploiting.
