I never moved and he hit me with blinds and scatter hit which goes right through defences. I beat him easily with the geo pistol. He was running COB too.


Why did I beat him. Really 2 reasons. The biggest was intimidate. For a pistoleer its a must or you cant hit a fencer. Second seems like many on our server only have stun protection on the helmet because of encumberances. The geo pistol is good if it can go right through the armor. If my buddy would have had stun armor on and a good shield he would have beat me. If they would give the geo pistol ap1 it would help us a lot too. Anyway just one test I thought was interesting..






I may drop invest for intimidate... from what I'm hearing it helps a ton durring pvp.. since invest is waaaay to long and boring I may just drop it.

Randonb I'm not sure if I'm reading your post wrong or what, but I was just stating that it is very difficult to kite anyone who has Melee Lunge 1 or 2 and if they are buffed you don't have a chance at all as a master pistoleer with smuggler or not because the damage just isn't there at all.

You always have an advantage with a range weapon. This comming from someone who has mastered melee professions on multiple servers. I hardly ever land a succesful lunge on a target even when I am breathing down their neck. Thats with Lunge 1, Lunge 2 is more successful, because it works at 20 meters. I don't know about you guys, but I have NEVER gotten a lunge 1to actually hit something from more than 15 meters. It gets even worse if I the target is moving away from you.


Anyway... Even if you are out of Ideal range you can still hit a melee target out of melee range.


Im working On Tera Kasi Master / Master Pistoleer / Smuggler 0/0/4/0 right now so that my melee attacks can be backed up with Range attacks if my target runs.


Im banking on the fact that the combat balance will probably nerf rifleman enough to make pistol speed matter.
