Thread: Parts of the Combat Balance to be rolled out in Publish 7

Now, you do have one advantage over a TKM in close quarters... if both of you have armor. We can punch through armor better than they can by switching to a DX2 up close due to AP light and acid damage.
I'm glad we got the notes for publish 7, it has just about convinced me to drop this pitifully weak proffesion since the devs obvously hate us.
Join me and drop pistoleer!!!
I think SOE should be taking more time to make those other professions that no one likes and make them better instead of making a good thing just ok.
/sermon off

It looks like some people are upset at our lack of fixesplanned forPublish 7. Unfortunately, I get the impression that our problems run so deep that they can't be solved in a few tweaks. The carbine changes were tweaks submitted a fair while ago (back during the period when we had no correspondent).
The things we need, however, are a little more complicated.Most of our specials are so broken that theyneed to be revamped. You can't tweak a special if it doesn't do anything to begin with. I've already submitted a list of possible revamps (such as making DS 1&2 do something), bug fixes (such as making PBA2 actually attack multiple targets), and tweaks(such as increasing the range on PMD1 to 10 meters to match other melee attacks in the game) based on ideas I have heard over the months.
The day will come when we will be fixed. Someday, our Top 5 list won't be such game-encompassing issues as fixing the very speed equation that defines the combat system, they will be little, manageable things. If you can'tor don't want towait for that day, that's your prerogative. By all means, do what makes the game fun for you. For most of you, I personally suggest dabbling like crazy in whatever you can to get by. You chose Pistoleer because you wanted to be a Pistoleer. In the end, chances are you'll be glad you hung on.
On another note, I am no longer getting the impression that Philosopher1976 once expressed here: that we are on the back burner. Pistoleer has been recognized as a profession that is sorely lacking. It's been a long PR battle, but I feel that both the dev team and the player base are ready to listen with open ears.
I can understand that there is a LOT of fixing to be done but hearing nothing from publish 6 & 7 doesn't really make us feel any better about it, all it says to me is there just ignoring us, not even a crumb has been passed to us so the assumption that there not fixing it untill it isn't number 1 seems reasonable, but there is another point, if pistoleer is the number 1 proffesion why isn't it getting ANY fixes, if the majority of players have some pistoleer then they could be fixing the game for a lot of people.
I just can't understand their prioritys.
Less new content and more fixes, you work on new content you work less on fixing the game.

Vertical Item Movement: Another big player request brings the ability to move furniture and household items up and down. Players in all houses can now move items up and down by either using the Radial Menu or the following commands:
* /moveFurniture UP (1-50)
* /moveFurniture DOWN (1-50)
