Thread: DEVs Pistoleers can't use Scatter Pistol, why not?
Uh, how about the definition where you USE YOUR BRAIN.
FYI: Scatter Pistol may be known as a BH weapon today, but there's NO reason for it to stay that way. Things change rapidly in an expanding galaxy... and what's yours today could be gone tomorrow, quite easily. I want you to explain to me how it makes any sense that anyone is better with a Pistoler than a Master Pistoleer. If anyone can explain it in a way that really makes sense, I'll buy it. But saying "It's illegal" or "only Bounty Hunters use it" doesn't cut it. What, I'm supposed to believe that someone who trains with pistols as his entire profession would be totally lost on a scatter pistol? Why, did they make the trigger backwards? Hide it somewhere? Sorry... illogical. Explain it to me using logic rather than just using the "I want it all for myself as a BH" logic and maybe I'll buy it.
You start with pistols today. Tomorrow you'll start with pistol specials. Why can the master of pistols not use specials that go with pistols? Why is a certain shot only usable with pistols not usable by pistoleers?

Seems to me the DX-2 is a Pistoleer weapon.
Scatters are Bounty Hunter only, special weaponry not openly available to everybody. Not available from the military black market or other more common sources. There will be more coming that are BH only as well.
If you want to use a Scatter Pistol, become a BH dabbler like all other Pistoleers worth their DNA are doing. Otherwise, don't. Simple.

Actually, its all really about the sekert BH handshake that you do with it that gives us the ability to use it, and not you. But, I shouldn't have let out that information, and now I will have the other BH's after me for telling you....

Yeah. That's what they said. But last week welcomed a stealth nerf to the Eye Shot. Damage is significantly lower, and the effect is now broken and/or not remaining on the target long enough. So, Eye Shot is now another useless skill for Bounty Hunters at this time.
In fact, that makes only bleeding shot, torso shot, and the LLC left to beat down to pudding.
So get to work, and cry nerf on those.

Yes now lets move Stopping Shot to Master Pistoleer.
Bounty Hunter Pistol skill is a rigid styleand very focused. It is designed to concentrate on one target, and take them unawares. There is no flash, or flair, just a deadly stalking patience about it. A Scatter Pistol is a pistol fully suited for this style, the grips, the sight, and the variable power trigger. Its a slightly heavy pistol and rather encumbersome to one not fully trained in the steady focuzed attacked of a bounty hunter. Its triple grip trigger is perfectly designed for controling the amount of firepower coming out of the weapon, but is cumbersome for rapid fire type attacks.
A Pistoleer is trained with style and flair, they are quick and good on the run, they do fast multiple shots(aka double tap, fan shot). The Pistoleer style of training is of one that is on the move. They are light on thier feet, and do well with a sleek fast pistol, like the DX2. The DX2 has a smooth, quick trigger that is said by some to "pull like glass, and shoot like you blink". It has high temp supercunductors feeding the powercore to the energy to matter transponder. With a liquid nitrogen cooled barrel, this pistol remains very accurate throughout the longest volley of rapid fire shots. Unlike the scatter.

I'm a Pistoleer and Idon't want touse a Scatter pistol. I want to use myDX2! but it sucks! I really don't care what skills or pistolsBH's can use. I want Pistoleer skills and specials to work! I want my profession to work. How the hell can anyone worry about other professions when ours is broken. Lets concentrate on Pistoleer and let the Bounty Hunter's worry about Bounty Hunters.
