I'd hate for the master quest to take place out of Eisley. In the movies it was a dirty, dangerous place where only scoundrels and villains made their money....in SWG Eisley has 9x the population of the CAPITAL and the "Largest City" (Mos Espa). I think it'd be cool to see him as a random spawn in Fort Tusken...just blazing away like those random NPC spawns in space who attack other NPC's.
As for an final reward...I'd prefer that we are able to craft a Master Pistoleer pistol. Much akin to the "unlimited power-up" that can only be applied to a single weapon. A Master Pistoleer pistol could ONLY be used by the Pistoleer who made it (Just use the coding for the Jedi lightsabers, don't even have to worry about bio-linking it). This stops the Weaponsmiths from raising hell, and keeps the bazaars free of tons of MP crafted hand cannons. All it would be is you pick one pistol you OWN...then you destroy it in something akin to a mini-game (use the smuggler's upcoming slicing mini-game maybe?). This grants you with a personalized schematic of that gun. From there, you hand craft your own version of that gun (schematic is also non-tradeable/sellable) and it's granted the permanent power-up. This ALSO could make the DE-10 a weapon to be used again...instead of just sitting on our walls or in our safe-deposit boxes. In order to keep things balanced, you would only be allowed to have ONE MP crafted pistol at a time (not just inventory...total. You couldn't make them then put them on your wall...you only get the one).
I'm not saying make it as powerful as a rifle...but this most likely wouldn't be too difficult a task to perform if you're using the same coding lines as things already in-game. Hardest part would be creating new text I suppose.
Any comments?

Ok, to summarize some of my thoughts. I will leave out some of my posts, because it sounds like it wouldnt be Jedi equivilant, so I will focus on my concepts. If you are interested in my full proposal, check out my sig.

Concept: The advancement of the pistoleer (and other professions) beyond their current limits. Much of the pistoleers flavor comes from the Old West. With the thought of catering to different play styles, it would be nice to have two different directions to go in. For me, pistoleer conjured two types of pistoleers:

The Gunfighter: Two guns blazing, a wild frenzy of attacks, dodging and diving to avoid attacks, the gunfighter is a danger to everyone, but one heck of an asset when it gets down and dirty.
Possible Abilities:
Dual Wielding
Two Smoking Barrels (high damage attack, performed only at near point blank with a KD and screen shake)
Evasion (high defensive mods but cannot attack)

Improved Movement (Relying heavily on movement, the gunfighter would be a little faster than other professions)
Wild Fire (wide ranging attack that has poor accuracy, but slows and intimidates targets in a radius that is the pistols range)
Flurry (radius of attack equal to their pistols range with low damage, but creates multiples of the toon [because the gunfighter is moving so fast ] which forces opponents to figure out where to attack)

The Trickshot Pistol spinning, the trickshot blasts the pistol out of his opponents hand and shots it again while in the air, shoots his belt off dropping his pants to the floor, then blasts a roof overhang, dropping it on two of his opponent's cronies, taking them out of the equation. The Trickshots opponent takes the opportunity to draw a knife and try his luck close in, only to find the trickshot's pistol grip planted square in the middle of his forehead, dropping him to the ground, dazed, blurry-visioned and unable to stand. This battle is over.
Possible Abilties:
Pistol Whip (moderate damage, but KD's, dizzies, stuns, intimidates and blinds, only usable at near point blank)
I Said Dance! (0 damage, but roots and disarms, with dancing animation for opponent, and disarm doesnt break on damage)
Dual Wielding
Dead-Eye (Greatly enhanced accuracy. As sharp as a sniper but can do it on the run.)

Community Abilties

I feel that it is greatly important to keep the veteran community interacting with the new player community, to the benefit of both. Many would consider these abilties to be useless but I feel they could play an important role.

All references to grand master in these would be referencing any advanced progression professions.

Pillar of the Community
You can talk to the ancient master and select quests that become "your quests." The ancient master will have many quests for you to chose from including factional quests[hopefully including neutral factions]. In order to set a quest as your own, you must first complete it from the master by yourself. Some Grand Masters will select the same quest which is fine. After you set it as "your quest" other people can choose to converse with you off of your radial menu. For each quest there will be a set of Conversation to introduce the character to the quest. The conversations will have a few different "attitudes" to select from to better match your characters personality. You must select a new quest every month. When people successfully complete your quests you gain bonus XP to your Grand Master XP style [Pistol in this case]. Factional mission will offer better rewards to players than non factional.

Fountain of Knowledge
Off of your radial menu other PCs will be able to find clues to in game riddles that are part of misc quests that incorporate riddles. This function is passive and notcontrollable by the Grand Master but placed as part of publishes. The Grand Master will receive an email each time their clues are updated so they are aware of what they know as well.

Fan Following
Non-legendary characters can choose off of their radial menu to idolize the character, which bestows a short time buff to the character selecting it, in the legendary characters focus. [pistol speed and pistol defense in this case]

Sponsor
Allows the Grand Master Character to sponsor non Legendary Characters for special quests from the Faction (or unfactioned) they belong to. The Grand Master character allows the non legendary characters to take new missions from existing NPCs only accessbile through Grand Master characters.

Those are just some ideas I had that I think could have a place.

Kinda sounds cartoony. I would want the system to give advanced abilities of the improved ones. Also new pistols, art of dual weilding, and more defensess,speed,accuracy.etc.

Look at the thread of mine badger references in the original and the one in my sig. In my original draft there is a lot more there, but I trimmed it down for this post.

Sounds sick to me (and I mean that in a good way ). If all this happened i'd be pistoleer until the day SWG was shut down.

I always thought it would be cool to have gunfighter arena's. At master pistoleer you could start a quest where you travel to different planets entering gunfighter tournaments. Have an arena on each planet where you fight through a set of NPC opponents. Rewards could be unique weapons, clothes, armor, etc.
