Force run pretty much cancels it out so its not such a problem for them.


Ah...but see it IS a problem. Not FOR them but because it allows you to do something they cannot do. Our ranger traps don't even affect NPCs let alone Jedi, but they sure raised a hell of a stink over Rangers killing krayts without needing 3 jedis with us.

Really? That's mad, surely it means more pearls on the market so less expensive top end sabers? Talk about cutting off your nose!

Soloing krayts, tried it once.I have Improved stopping, Cripple, kneecap, Charge shot and well, my stopping shot actually missed, at 60m with a T21 after using aim, for a combined ranged accuracy of over 550, so i hit cripple, the cripple hit but the krayt warped on top of me. I died after firing two shots.


I only go after Krayts with the guild now, only takes a min for us to take out the ancients and its a hell of a lot safer.

Oh yeah its 10 times more effective to go in a group... but its an ego thing, just had to prove it to myself. That warping kills me a lot with Krayts. I think whats worse is that they can attack you because the are techincally much closer, but for your their are still considered to be out of range, so they keep tagging you, but you can't do a thing to them. What I try to do in order to reduce warping is run around and make all those pending spawns... spawn and try to find one that is relatively seperated from other spawns of any nature. It will cause less crunching while fighting the Krayt.

Oh also a tip for those soloing big things: Try to run your target in a circle. If you get too far away from its spawn point it will *retreat* and all of your hard work up until this point will be wasted. I wish we had a retreat, what an uber ability... really ticks me off... eh just have patience and keep running

After a while you get used to how the warping works and you end up ignoring what your client tells you and just knowing where the krayt actually is.


It's like a real-time, life or death spot the ball competition.

I am running into the issue of getting "out of range" even though the Krayt is still hitting me. I know its is closer, but I can't even shoot it to do anything. By the time it finally catches up I am usually dead. I dont know if anyone else is running into this, perhaps I am just one of a few.

any word on the Corr forums that the devs are at least working on the melee MOB warping issue?

I've solo'd a grand total of 2 Krayts as a Master Pistoleer/MBH Carbineer 0400. I stood about 60m out, used my rifle first to apply the root, I continued with the rilfe using my best damage shots (bodyshot and crit) until my root attack wore off, then I hit my KD attack, switched to a carbine and started kiting, when he got within 35m, I switched to my High Cap Scatter with the (70 SAC) and used /burstrun and kited the rest of the time. Keep in mind these weren't Anchients or Giants, they were Canyon Krayts. It was fun, took a while to kill and like someone else said, if you run into an obsticle, you a Krayt meal.
