Thread: Soloing Krayts?
It Electrolyte Drain that is your friend for high end PvE melee mobs.
You can either:
My preferred method is to run into 10m range to put it on and hope you dont get aggrod (usually works) and run back out of range.
I used to use a droid to pull it towards you with a /tellpet attack /tellpet stay macro and slap drain on it as it runs past. Takes away a lot of the risk till you fine tune your tactics.
I suppose you couls Spam Disarm shot while running into 10m to put drain on and run off.
Use Stopping Shot to root and put the drain on.
When you've stuck the drain, you have 2 minutes of easy kiting. When drain is about to run out (keep an eye on it by moving your mouse over the icon) use stopping shot and run in and reapply.
Rinse and repeat. After a bit of practice you realise you dont even need armour.
. So what i need now is maybe a high accuracy food to combat the damage mitigation of the krayt.
I killed a Grand Krayt solo last night for practice, there was a smuggler there who was soloing krayts using concussion shot.
Conscious of the fact that Concussion isn't working as intended, he asked me what my template was and respec'd to it shortly after.

better keep that electrolyte drain quiet, before they throw in some snare resists to the krayts. 
Or give the krayts a root attack.

naw, they'd just nerf ED first.
Something has to be done, but you wont find me shouting nerf until I have a vast collection of tissues and shards.
don't blame you, badger.It's effectievly a snare that reduces the movement speed of the target to a crawl so you can kite without getting hit, the improved version is at x/x/x/3 CM and lasts for a staggering two minutes.
I've even seen people solo DJM's using drain.
When my weaponsmith wished me luck afterI told him I would come and meet him after I solo'd a GDK, "Who needs luck when you have electrolyte drain".
gulp! WOW!
what's the need for pistol specials with this ... I mean, you know, that's cool and all ...
