We already have a very fast, low HAM Energy Pistol, and it's better that this new 'thing' in every aspect -the Scout Blaster. Even FWG5s are superior.
We have very fast Guns, we have every damage type out there except Cold, Electricity and Blast(not counting the Launcher Pistol). What we currently don't have is any form of decent AP. There's 3 light AP guns out there, 2 of them are Energy damage, one has 48m max range and the other one broken accuracy modifiers just like the DE-10. The third one is acid damage.
I've seen Scout Blasters as low as 0.5 speed, but that's irrelevant since you hit the speed cap (even with stopping shot) with a 1.7 or 1.9 gun.
a master gunfighter gets +74 pistol speed mods . stopping shot has a x4 delay . this means you need a weapon that is 1.0 to fire it at speed cap . with this crappy pistol a master gunfighter would fire once every 3.4 seconds . with a 1.7 speed weapon a master gunfighter fires stopping shot once every 1.76 seconds . unless your weapon is under 1.3 speed your damage per second is higher using fanshot . and we are supposed to be the profession that is supposed to fire the quickest![]()

actually, carbines have the lowest dps. I'm only pistol 4 marksman and I have better pistols than I do carbines.
my best pistol is a dx2 with around 150 dps
best carbine I have is around 110 dps (elite+form fitted stock+adv scope)
just another little hint i remember a while back when the geno came out and everyone was crying that it sucked.
i just want to remind u that more then likely the stats on this gun was produced with AVERAGE at best resources. I'm sure with quality resources u could find one doing alot better damage.
Also I'd like to see this gun do kinetic damage seems something more logical like the old tusken rifles. Make it ap 0 High kinetic damage in the 200-300 range and make it a consumable just an idea
Hmm, maybe it's just me, but I'm hoping for something like:
- AP2
- Cold/Energy Damage
- 4-5 sec delay default
- 100-250 damage
Sound reasonable?
the new DE-10 pistol and bezerker rifle's stats are NOT THE FINAL STATS YET
the schematic stat limitations have not been written yet

Ok several damage types for pistoleer, but thats not to say there shouldnt be AP weapons beyond light. There are lots of handguns that can shoot through an engine block and you wouldnt be able to wear an engine block around.
Just look at rifleman, they got a large variety of damage types and AP and still keep getting new weapons with almost every patch. Why not some love for pistoleer?
How many people do you know who shoot a hand gun that can crack an engine block? I don't know any and I hang with gun people. I know some people who own a DE .50AE, but they never shoot the darned thing.
BTW a Colt .45 doesn't have the stopping power to kill an engine.
