Why out of all the new weapons do the pistols look pathetic...
I dont think ive seen pistols look so bad ever... I really hope they are just a joke and some better ones will be introduced, even if some of them did 1k damage id be too embaressed to hold them.
Im a master pistoleer for god sake not an extra on sesame street. Looks like its back to preying that they sort out the fact that our best weapon is energy based (make it something a little less protected please) and at the long shot they will fix our specials...
wow what an amazing multiperson pistol shot i have - one that does no damage wow...
I'd be better off spinning around and spitting at my enemies...
Sorry about that, had to have a little rant... just fed up of pistols being fifteenth best (i.e last) to all other combat professions... we mights as well just throw bricks at the enemy.......

Well maybe u have a magic in those wrists - my multi target pistol shot doesnt do anything other than point the barrell of my gun in a coned direction...
As for carbines... the reason they are so handy is because of the state shots and ranged knockdowns...
As for fencers and TKA... they have state attacks,centre of being and the fact melee is so over powered its made SWG into some roleplaying dungeons and dragons...
Rifleman... haveAP3 weapons, kind of removes the whole point of armor- hence they do so much damage...
You do have a point with fanshot - very nice move... very nice... 2k damage with my de.10 on a NPC, 600 in PVP against composite... Oh and about 100 when trying to hurt a MLS trained jedi...
And as for the new pistols - each has there own taste... hehe....

Its not that we are going to have certed weapons mainly, its that the weapons will be more powerful the higher we are in professions.

unfortunately, they are pretty small looking, and by the looks of them they dont say " dont mess with me". i did see some pictures of some other pistols that were really mean looking. i dont remember where on this entire messageboard, but it was linked from somewhere on this site. they were alot more intimidating. i however, will use whatever pistol deals the most damage. even if it looks like its meant for euthanising nuna.

i certainly hope the pistoleer will get some real POWERFULL weapons soon. i dont know what cert the geonosian snic blaster is, but i do know the launcher is a commando thing. the pistols are not strong enough. the best one ive been using is a dx2 i think itis, short barrel, acid damage? its a minimum of a hundred or so damage, with 200 somethin max damage. its the strongest thing i own, but maybe some stronger pistols with sloiwer attack speeds? the differences in range modifiers never really matter to me, so i stick with best damage.
one thing i would like to see, is a pistol with a blade on it. like the one reinhardt uses in blade 2. maybe it ould give a modifier to pistol melee defense?

The thing that has me most interested is the listed range as short. I seem to recall hearing some rumour about having ranged weapons go beyond 64m, and unless that's true for rifles which will redefine the whole concept of range: short, I'm a tad bit worried we'll be working just fine, 'cept we'll be too close to the enemy.
Oh well. If that's the case, testing should make it fairly obvious before the CU ever hits live.

I think the goal will be to make Rifles much less useful at those close ranges. Rifle Point blank Accuracy mods will keep them from hitting us with every shot when we're in their face spamming Point Blank Shot 2.
