Thread: Any speculation on the new pistols?

Anyone dare to speculate on the new pistols? Would be nice to know if they are MP cert-ed or smuggler, BH certs. Damage type and armor piercing will be nice to know also.

Somebody had posted picture a of all these pistols that supposivly are being made for more pistoleer content, not certian weither or not this is actually going to be produced on a later publish or not. it was purely speculation from the way others were talking on this particular thread.I believe though the fact that there was already model for them showed some evidence that it either was made then scrapped or something is currently beingworked on now...
Anyway this is mainly beating around the bush but those pictures i do beleive were in either the pistoleer thread or the smuggler thread, it was about a week or two ago wheni happened to read up on them on some random thread i decided to click on.

I saw the ones from the tre files also. I'm talking about the ones announced for CURB.

oh, well the ones im talking about was on some Clan site that ive never been before, it included links to new rifles, carbines, and tera kasi weaponry, any one see the blast knuckles? they kinda looked like half of a sphere. supposivly it did either heat or energy damage and very short range.

hopefully, they will fix some of our specials, like PMD2, and others... I like the ideas of the new pistols though, they look cool, hopefully they all wont be cert'd in the marksman tree and have a max dmg of 100.. /rofl

The Jawa Ion Rifle is certed in Marksman rifle 4, Stun damage, light armor piercing(not that it matters with the CURB, since armor piercing will be gone, replaced by energy level). I'm assuming the same for the pistol version.
The others are a bit harder to determine. Flare pistol = heat dmg? Flechette, I have no clue, maybe kinetic? The Death hammer is a tough one too, (crosses fingers for Blast dmg).

My guess is that the Jawa Ion Pistol will be AP0 (obviously, AP will be gone by then), Stun damage, certed at Marksman III (with/replace Tangle) or at Pistols 4. I think it will be a weaker version of the Geno, but more powerful than the Tangle (crosses fingers!)
The Flare, I'm guessing Heat. Maybe something with a firing radius like the EE2 carbine.
The Deathammer, I'm willing to bet Energy. It doesn't look like it fires rockets like the Launcher... too small. If it was released before the CURB, I'd think it would be an AP1 Energy weapon, better than the SR Combat Pistol, but weaker than the DE-10. It'll prolly have a higher damage, slower speed, high HAM cost, weaker in Accuracy. Certed at Pistols 4 with Heavy Pistols.
The Flechette? Kinetic. Definetely Kinetic. Maybe higher damage than the Striker. Couldn't even guess where it's Certed, but I'd hope Marksman Pistols somewhere.
Personally, the most impressive group on that list was the Melee. Those swords look so sweet!

I kinda think the new ones are ugly, the only decent looking one is the jawa pistol

armor piercing is going away in the curb. That is in the armor preview.
And damage types such as stun will no longer be king of the battlefield. You will use different weapons with different phases to outplay your oponent. As for certifications we shall have to see...in testing they may be shifted around a bit so even if I knew where all of them were going, it would be moot.

someone might speculate that they may be making new crap guns for marksmen and taking the older but positivly more lethal looking old ones and boosting the ratings to a Pistoleer proffession standard, like upping the stats of the FWG5, DL-44 Blaster, and maybe other ones too.
well thats what i want anyway....

You know what would be cool? If the flare pistol had a fire dot. Kinda makes sense right?
Oh, and I see no reason to add another stun pistol. But that's just me.
