I'm sure if we /bump this a couple times Randomb will read it when he gets back in few weeks and if he's ever asked how we would like duel wield to impletemented (unlikely, but I dream) then he might forward this post to the devs attention.
As for giving this guy a job, there are two jobs that he could likely take on. Correspondent, although Randomb is doing a great job and we would do well to keep him, Riflemen need a correspondent I believe but I think BH or Smuggler would do better to have someone on the ball. Tanks seriously needs firing after the latest BH changes... Other job would be developer. Contrary to popular belief most game developers don't actually do anything more than write up stupid ideas and forward them to code-writers to try and put into effect, this guy has a great idea for dual wield and probably more good ideas to improve other professions.
Well done, this is perhaps the best way of implementing dual wield, a couple tweaks here and there and correction on the launcher pistol, that thing could never be dual wielded by the SWG playable races due to weight and the recoil, the scatter pistol, with plenty practice could be dual wielded quite comfortably, to reflect that MBH + Master pistoleer could be the cert, the Scatter is, in my opinion the most powerful pistol in the game, but it's more to do with preference than anything else.
Addition to idea. Weapon powerups to increase dual wielding accuracy, or rather decrease the penalty, recoil suppressors and such. Just a thought for extra content.
I'd also be interested in your thoughts about dual wielding two completely different pistols and also, as fencers will be getting dual wield also, what is your opinion on wielding a pistol and sword, should it be allowed and if so, how would you implement that?
