This would be my question:

SinceTH said the "Combat Balance" would amount to a situation in which "all of the combat professions would be "nerfed" simultaneously", what exactly does the dev team plan on nerfing in the Pistoleer profession - there isn't a lot tonerf as it is, is there?

Probably best if we dont spout any of the whiny cry baby questions above... I do like the question #2 though straight and to the point. Why do Smugglers and BHs the hybrids of our true profession have the interesting specials?

As for the person above who said Masters end up using only 2 specials remember that many specials are meant to be redudant...you use bodyshot1 until you get bodyshot2...you use bodyshot2...well keep using it or actually using healthshot2 until you master...and even then use healthshot2

Don't ask a long, complicated question or we'll get an evasive answer. Short, to the point is best.

I agree with the others here, and would like to see TH address the specials issue. While this was supposed to be taken care of in publish 8, it has mysteriously gotten pushed back, maybe to publish 9, maybe to publish 99. Who knows.

We are fast approaching the 1 year mark since release, and our profession still does not have all of its specials working. Don't give me an x-wing in SE, or holsters, or dual weild, or twirly moves or anything like that until you fix what is currently broken.

As far as some specials replacing others, that is not what the community has been talking about. Come on, read the posts. Why is health shot a more efficient killer than body shot 2 or 3? Why does pistol melee 2 not have a knockdown, or any other status change, so that it is worse than PM1? Why does point blank area 2 only hit one target? Why is disarming shot only good for shooting lairs? Why does multitarget pistol shot only work sporadically?

Every profession has specials that are meant to replace earlier ones. However, in those cases, the higher tiered special should be better than the lower tiered one, either with increased damage, status effects, or whatever. This is not the case with our current special moves.

So, please, find out when the specials are going to be fixed. Find out if the combat balance will ever see a live server, and if so, when. Find out hy we have had to wait 10 months to get working specials that should have been de-bugged in Beta.

2) Many pistoleers feel that their attacks are generic. Vanilla random HAM is a big issue. Do the devs intend to "spice up" the profession?

This would be at the heart of any inital question I would want answered. Simple and to the point. Give me a time table and give me non redundant EFFECTIVE specials. I shouldn't have to rely on smuggler specials to be effective as a pistoleer. Nor should I have to be a melee artist to be successful in pvp.

3) Speed is another big concern. Why is it that comparable professions fire equally quickly as pistoleers? Can we expect this to change? If so, when? Furthermore,we are genuinelycurious how the speed equation chiefly responsible for the disparity "slipped under the radar" for so long.

Goes along with DPS in #9 as well I suppose

Yes we just want to be fixed, is that to much to ask for? But for the sake of the post I will make my choices from the list from Randonb.

4) What is the devs' stance on players seeking worthwhile pistol specials in the Bounty Hunter or Smuggler tree? Should it be accepted as standard practice for Pistoleers?

2) Many pistoleers feel that their attacks are generic. Vanilla random HAM is a big issue. Do the devs intend to "spice up" the profession?

9) The community is frustrated with being a "sideshow" in groups (low DPS, very limited tanking ability) and having sub-par performance in solo play. They would like some insight into what their role is expected to be in the coming days when they will be considered a contender.

These are my top 3 concerns that I would like to see addressed. We spend 92 skill points just like everyone else to master our weapon, we shouldn't have to spend the rest of them up just to learn to shoot our pistols better.

This is the question I would ask, with one key edit: Change "Do the devs" to "When do the devs". If you ask do as opposed to when do, TH will probably just respond with "Of course, its all coming in the combat rebalance." You'll probably get the same thing with when as well, but at least this way you might be able to pin them into a timetable.

Well, guess I should throw in my own 2 cents. I think the question we should ask first and foremost is:

The community is frustrated with being a "sideshow" in groups (low DPS, very limited tanking ability) and having sub-par performance in solo play. They would like some insight into what their role is expected to be in the coming days when they will be considered a contender.

Why this one specifically? well, as mentioned before, it's not one they can answer with a simple yes or no. It also leaves scope for TH to answer other questions within it should he be inclined to do so - 'your role is to do random damage in battle to help other classes', 'you're supposed to be the fastest, dual blasterwielding suns of guns out there'. I doubt very much he'll go into other areas, but the question is broad enough that he could shed light on more than one thing and I'd like to give him the opportunity to do so.

Most Important: If speed is supposed to be our strength, why in jabba's fat a$$ are we slower than a rifleman firing a 7.9 speed weapon?

I like number 2 but I sense that we'll just get a generic "combat revamp" explanation.
