Yes, whatever it is, I abso-damn-lutely do not want to see the words 'combat balance' in the answer ... promising a fix in the combat balance is about as reassuring as telling me the Great Pumpkin is going to fix it.

I want to know, after going out today, Why is one of the best pistoleer specials at novice pistoleer and the rest dim in comparison while at the same time, pistols should be the quicker than rifles however, our skills lack the speed mods needed.

Here's my answer to THafter 10 months of nothing and another 6 months of more nothings to come!

/cancel account.

Maybe every week we pistoleers can give you 19 identical answers just like mine posted here on this forum until we are extinct as a profession.

In response to your response saying ap2 doesnt fit well with pistoleer and a new damage type would water down the profession. Rifleman have energy, acid, stun, heat, cold damage, thats 5 damage types! We have kinetic, acid, energy, heat, stun and one of our types is never even used because the weapon cant be made with decent stats(striker pistol, kinetic damage) and tangle pistols suck as well, leaving us the geo which while nice is not readily available to the average pistoleer. So we have 3 damage types that are readily available and only two of them offer ap1. Rifleman have Ap1-ap3 on all of their rifles but the berserker, so they have one worthless damage type for them, leaving them 4 viable types vs our 2 viable types.

Sooooooooooo, i feel like giving you my money doesnt fit well with my desire to have fun and a renewed account would water down my money supply. Oh and i wont be back for the SE. I'm jumping to lightspeed now and getting out of dodge.

We have broken/redundant specials. At Master theres maybe 1-2 shots you are ever going to fire since the rest are borked. Any reason?

As for me I'd like to see this one answered. It seems all others will end up with some form of 'In the combat rebalance.....' I want to hear them defend their position on why this profession is still in it's current state. I'm mostly a lurker on these boards, but like many of the other folks around here I am really frustrated with the whole thing. My sub is up for renewal on May 23rd and as things are right now, I willnot not be back

i think we should ask when our specials are getting fixed.... the random ham attacks, no state attacks...... generally useless or redundant and broken

we already have a confirmation on dual wield, and i assume that the speed equation will be fixed with the combat rebalance..... carbineers got a pre-fix,the other subparprofessionsshould get one too

I do not post much, but I would like this question answered. If we are supposed to be the Master of Pistols, why do I have to go to other professions to compete with other ranfged profs. It would seem to me that the other profs should getaccess our attacks in their tree (if they are using a pistol), not the other way around. We should know everything there is to do with a pistol, I should not have to waaste skill point on another pofession when it comes to my weapon.

Hey, I thought of somthing better then my first post.

Regardless of the question asked, please add this to the end.

For the love of all that is decent in this world do not tell us to "Wait for the combat balance." or anything remotely similar.

I vote for the "what is our role" question, too. It really needs to be answered before we can ask other questions in the proper light.

2) Many pistoleers feel that their attacks are generic. Vanilla random HAM is a big issue. Do the devs intend to "spice up" the profession?

I think that the wording should be changed to: "HOW do the devs intend to spice up the profession?" If we ask it the way it is worded, the simple answer is 'Yes, we do intend to spice up the profession.' He wouldn't even have to mention that it's in the combat renerf.

I think an even better question is "In what century will the combat rebalance take place?" I'm sick of hearing about these changes, but not seeing any progress. If SOE can't hire people more competant than these monkeys in thiscrappy job market, they have no business running a company. In all honesty, I fail to see why we're even bothering to ask questions. We're not going to get a straight answer no matter how we word the question because the simple fact is, they don't have straight answers to give. They're sitting around with their thumbs up their rectums, trying to dangle the Space Expansion carrot in front of us to keep us paying. Rather than address real issues and *fix* crap, they're distracting us with the space expansion, like parents do with a fussy child..jingling some shiny keys at us and biding their time.

9) The community is frustrated with being a "sideshow" in groups (low DPS, very limited tanking ability) and having sub-par performance in solo play. They would like some insight into what their role is expected to be in the coming days when they will be considered a contender.

Those would be my two choices with the "do" in number 2 being changed to "how"

tbh most of these questions are pointless, here look I'll answer them all for you:

"Are you going to fix pistoleer and make it fun and cool?"

Yes.

"When are you going to fix pistoleer and make it fun and cool?"

The combat rebalance.

"When is the combat rebalance happening?"

Publish 10 maybe, wesayfor sure yet.

There you go, wasn't that useful? The only question worth asking right now on this general topic is the one I mentioned above:

""Can we expect any positive changes to our profession before the "combat rebalance"? We need help now."

A yes or no answer to this question will give us new information, the other questions will not imo. If "yes", we can ask what quick fixes they intend to carry out, and discuss them.

If "no", we can all go to sleep until June or July as nothing will be happening to our Profession until then at the earliest.

Easy. Combine number 9 and 10 off the The List. Basically, "When are they going to fix/revamp our specials so that we are at least on par with other like combat professions? How are they planning on making us better then we are now?"

And I don't want to hear that "wait for the combat balance crap", thats not good enough. As it says in our top 10, we have waited a long time, and are getting weary. I could go to any non elite combat profession and be better then, more formiddable, easier to solo, and an actual addition to group PvP, then I am in pistoleer.

Our specials don't work, and many are redundant. What The Sith is this all about?

If you need a second choice question, how about the one about fixing our accuracy? I mean come on, we have a pistal that is NEGATIVE accuract at its Ideal range, and 0 accuracty mod at min and max ranges? WTS. Who was on drugs when they made that pistol? There should be no, or little accuracty penalty at the pistals Ideal range. And for most of them that ideal range should be close up 30m or less.
