I agree with you, Buzz, most Pilots wouldn't dig it. I never expect to see it happen but I think it would be kinda cool to test my skills against a Jedi Pilot with FP.

I see your point completely.

It's funny that one obscure Wookiee Pilot can evoke such wrath from you.
Psyko declared it my week to be crochety, so I'll field this:
It's not ONE obscure Wookie Pilot. It's the scores of posts that have asked this question over and over.
It's the scores of players that immediately upon launching decide things are too tough for them, and instead of improving their skills they attempt to whine and get the system changed to suit themselves rather than adhering to the status quo. A status quo I might add that the vast majority of players who are ACTIVE in space are more than happy with.
It's the scores of players who rather than do a little research and bask in the warm glow of having done for one's own self, come here and ask for information to be spoon fed to them. Did you read the most recent 'Black Sun missions for Smuggler's Alliance' post? Dude didn't even do what he was told, just ASSUMED the information was incorrect without even TRYING.
Instead of getting testy with us, and immediately jumping to insults and getting defensive, perhaps some of these new pilots could instead appreciate a little bit of the effort we here in the Pilot's Lounge have put forth in collecting and disseminating the information here. Maybe they could try thanking us for once instead of whining because we're a little more agressive in our wording.
I'm not being pissy at you personally SoK, this has just been a really REALLY bad week for stupid, inane and whiny posts, the vast majority of which could have been avoided by a simple perusal of the FAQ's here.

Well Jeebus, I completely agree with you on that. This has been a silly week.

Looking back on the movies, all (wouldbe) Jedi seems to think a landing where you can walk away from is a good one. 9 times out of 10 they park in swamps, crashland, loose half the ship, or get shot to pieces and then crash.
So I'm all for Jedi skills in space, as long as 9 times out of 10 something happens on their landing obliterating their ship and all components on board. ![]()

Since this thread is more or less hijacked, i just wanted to say that last night, i had a decent Xwing pilot on my 6 and i gotta tell ya, those three rapid fire guns made my hair stand on end
Xwings are big targets, but man... being infront of one isnt a good thing

Ok, i guess im done being nice. Time to pick on the egocentrical troll with a superiority complex who seems to think the game revloves around him.
Lets see now.....
>>I post my opinion on
First, no one cares for your opinion. Thats quite obvious by now isnt it? Maybe your just dense, or mentally challenged in some way.
>>something that makes complete sense to everyone except you overconfident pilots with the biggest sense of entitlement since the Nazis
Hmm, seems this is backwards.
"something that makes complete sense to everyone except you spoiled jedi's with the biggest sense of entitlement since the Nazis."
Ahh, there now, fixed. That is far more accurate and factual then the previous statement! Acutaly it just dawned on me im done now. THeres really no further need to pick part this guys post.
Oh wait, almost forgot..
>>Oh but to add to your inferiority complex, Jedi is THE Star Wars calling card, not pilot.
Wow, apparently folks, jedi is the only profession in the game. Hookay. I think what we have here, is a perfect lab speciman of a species Star war geek of the Hypocritic Egocentrical Troglodyte family.

Yes jedi have advatanges in space, but yer not a jedi are you? Yes a jedi in SWG but not out there in the real world, thats the difference between twitch and timed combat, do you have to physically aim and swing to hit people in the head with that pigpoker of yours? Or any other gun in teh ground game, no you dont, you target then applies modifiers to each timed cycle (ie your combat moves) and try and stay in range. all of those i admit takes skills to use in a proper manner, but thats beside the point.
Its a game and up in space combat dont run on timed cycles nor does it aim for you, youre own natural reflexes keeps your ships reticule locked on your foe. Want jedi reflexes in space? Practice practice practice, and youll get good, if you have it in you.... but please name one jedi skill from your ground game that would be fair to have in space.
Oh and it makes sense to you, but not the seasoned pilots in here... its because they are seasoned pilots, and you aint... yet

Theres really no point in explainng why force powers are not, and should never be included in space to him. My assesment is that his mind, is a closed book based on his personal perception. Nothing you can say or do will ever change his opinion. Especially anything that does not coincide with how he percieves things.
You'd have better results yellling at door knob at the top of your lungs. Suffice to say the cranial matter betwixed his ear lobes has the density and hardness of reinforeced concrete first poured in the 1920's. (As you may or may not know, the older concrete is, the harder it becomes as it continually cures throughout time). Hence, theres a high probability that one may abandon all reason and logic with the troglodyte at this time, and further enjoy the fun he has presented.

Godwin's Law has been invoked, by the original poster. This thread should now die. It should have died immediately after this post, but for some reason it didn't...
Let this thread die in piece and simply be prepared for the next time a thread such as this is created.
