Targeting. I think the following targetting options should be available:
1. Save Target-- quickly save an important target for quick reference
2. Target Mob attacking wingman -- helps get a mob off your wingman's butt
3. Attack my target -- offers wingmates the option of attacking my present target
4. Target wingman's target -- /assist in space (why is this disabled?)
5. Taget mob attacking me

From what I have read in the forum postings, and what I have seen in game. when I get to the point that I CAN fly my multi person ship, with a full crew, I would like it to be worth more than you would get out of a 2-4 mid to high level fighters. give it more weapon mounts in the turrents, or add components to the game that are just way to heavy for any non multi player ship to be able to hold them. something to set it far apart from the fighters in the game. make it worth crewing in a combat situation.

Chassis decay :/
They are expensive enough without having to get a new one after a few deaths.

Lack of a master freelance pilot fighter/non-multiplayer(or firespray) ship. Everyone else gets one buy we dont... thast a little busted in my eyes. I dont care what anyone says... we cant function in a 130k mass ship with level 10 items... level 8 items barely fit in there. Please help us with this disparity its bogus!

The fact Privateers have no fighter at master.
Worst part is we are getting shafted so hard... and they never realized it in beta? How could this be... sounds more like we are in beta now and they were in alpha to me!

Oh, they relized it in Beta all right. We made damn well sure they know how screwed up Freelancer is.
- Woefully inferior ships, mass, maneuverability, and hardpoint wise.
- All of our ships have enormous profiles, making them easy targets.
- No Master-level fighter. Totally hosed out of our NEUTRAL Firespray.
- No 2-seated fighter.
- A single inferior Droid Command (Reactor Overload) that most people wont even trade with us for.
- Inferior and/or detrimental Special Abilities (/ptrap1-2, /epulse1-3, /ethrust).
- No advanced version of the Scyk (Alliance: Z95/ X-Wing, LD TIE/ TIE Fighter, Scyk/ ?).
There are our cons. Please, someone, list our pros...

I thought privateers were a mix between rebels and imperials, more like in between. While rebels I would guess has better fire power, imperials are more in speed and manueverability...
If I remember correctly, Privateers get 2 ships in the 2nd box maybe move the kimogolia up to master and improve it?

Forced PVP for Master is my biggest issue. I didn't PvP on the ground, I don't want to PvP in space. Devs, what were you smoking when you came up with this brainstorm? JTL is awesome aside from this huge blunder.

A lot of peple may have many things considered pet peeves. I don't want to knock on anything that someone talks about or says. The big thing however is that I had to make a whole new character on a different server, because of the lag in space. I don't really mind that too much, because space is the part of the game I'm only really interested in. The big issue, has just been fixed as of today, which is the money issue. trying to get that hyperspace capable craft for the set of missions, was something that was pretty tough.
The problem I have right now, is the part about going through the whole jabba theme park in order to start the third teir of skills and missions. I don't think that forcing a group of pilots to run around all the time fighting things, to get rid of the bad faction, and then going through mission after mission in the ground game in order to do something for the space skills.
In the the message that Talon Karrde gives you states that Jabba wants to see you and that he will forgive your killing of his men as long as you work for him. The problem being that you have to go through a ton of fighting missions in order to get those missions.
I started a brand new character, and the reason I am playing is because of space. The main reason why I quit my account was because ground combat was boring, and it's too hard to really get ahead. I always end up putting myself to sleep if I end up fighting for too long. The time I had to spend running missions to get the money to buy my second ship, was the hardest hour or two of play, just because it's so boring to fight.
Please just move the person smugglers need to talk to to the frnt of jabba's palace, and it wil be fine. do the other pilot skills need to finish a theme-park in order to finish up their space skills?
That's about the biggest problem with pilots, and it's not just a pet peeve. because right now I can't go ahead with my missions and skills, because I get so bored and I hate the combat in the ground game. I'm just here for space. the thing I'm good at.
Just help us out and please move the trainer. I'll be forever in your debt if you can do that.

Kyara, A friend from my roleplaying town (neutral town) gave an open invite to other people to come along and help on her duty mission. She is imperial on the ground and privateer in space. Me andFwed decided to join her, I'm imperial both on the ground and in space,Fwed isa rebel on the ground and in space. First off it was just me and Kyara, we group up in spaceand we had some fun in Lok while waiting for Fwed to join us. We worked together without a problem. We then hyperspace to Dantooine to do the mission and invite fwed into the group.
The mission starts and I find that everytime I hit something it beeps ... meaning I don't have permission to attack her mission targets which were neutral ships (Me and Kyaradestroyed neutral ships in lok without a problem). Fwed is initially able to attack and damage the mission ships but then gets the same problem as me ... it beeps ... he can't do anything ... he did hit an imperial ship. Fed up that I can't do anything, I hyperspace out of the system and disband ... which doesn't sort out that fwed and kyara cannot attack ships together ... fwed later got attacked by a neutral, non-mission ship and Kyara couldn't help him. I try the knowledge base which is less than useless in answering my problem.
I think because of our mix there may have been a permission conflict. Also she got the mission before grouping
Later that night, me and Katsumi went out into space together, grouping and then getting our missions. We're both imperial space and imperial ground and had no problems whatsoever ... we had a lot of fun and kicked ass in dantooine.
In the ground game we can hunt together without a problem. Whats up with the space aspect? I can understand me not being able hit ties and fwed not being able to rebel ships ... but neutral ships?
Does anyone have any knowledge or info they could share about group space combat? because this is confusing as it stops us doing town space stuff.
*****
Tried this multiple times ...
We can hunt PVE on the ground together ... we should be able to do it in space ... there should be non-faction specificmissions for friends to do together,
I had this same problem along with some of my guildmates... it seems to be a bug and people have said it is caused at times (they think) when the person who has the mission does not load into space first before rest of the group. The way we solved it one night was our group disbanded and /logout and then back in and we were all able to dmg the mission mobs.
It is defiantely a bug, one way or another.

Rubberbanding in space.
I go from full to 0 speed even though my throttle stays at 100%. I warp backwards when this happens too.
It is constant in all my ships, and with all the engines I've used. (currently using a 67.x rated one in a Kimogila)
Not sure if it's related or not, but my engines never go as fast as they're rated either. i.e. a 67.5 rated engine might go 625 instead of 675. This is independant of my chassis or engine as well. I'm playing neutral privateer on the tat track. I've used all the Hutt fighters only.
