Don't ever speak for me. Get off your lazy behind and reread this thread if you want objections. I and othersstated enough objections and had them ignored, while you chased trolls.

Edit- here, just so you don't tire yourself out, I'll list a couple posts you ignored.

Bottom third of page2 a post by starstrider6- If he hadn't mirrored my thoughts so well, I would have responded too.

Top of page 3 a post by me- read it close, read it careful, and think long and hard before you respond.

If you want objections, Anzel, I suggest you just reread the thread. There's been plenty of them so far. Some of them have come with a hefty dose of flaming, yeah, but they're here and they're not hard to find. Spending 15 minutes to go over what's already been posted is going to let you understand the counterpoints a lot better than asking an already frustrated group of players to repost their opinions a second or third time.

I don't think it's going to make a difference, Tomo. His mind's made up and he doesn't want to have to face the proof that his ideas don't work and aren't well thought-out. It's like a microcosm of the modern political system, really. Everyone has their ideas and ignores rational oposing views rather then trying to rebut them.

What 'ideas' are you referring to? Reduced shuttle times? Calling pets/droids in the wild? Armor encumberence? Specials causing damage to the user? Galaxy Wide Vendor Search? Mind buff times? These have all been pretty good ideas and oh yeah, people had the same type of objections then that they do now to this 'idea'.

I think I can speak for psikobunny, ducimus, and the others when I say that the real reson they haven't stated one objection to this idea is because they know there is nothing legitimate that they can say besides "I don't have the patience to become a Jedi and I don't think anyone else should have one either."

Scroll up just a touch and you'll see me asking at leat three times in a row for any such objection and all you'll find is the same people saying the same thing over and over. You'll see psiko repeating over and over that he doesn't like to repeat himself, youll see ducimus calling me a retard, etc. etc. etc. Jealousy, fear, insults, etc. Everything except a well articulated and legitimate objection.

/chuckle This entire thread proves you wrong and you're the only one who can't seem to see that. It's this blind adherance to an idea along with a complete disregard of rationality that's really amusing. I could read this stuff all day, it's classic.

And psikobunny, you made some fantstic points back there. I didn't reply because I found this gem too late and the "discussion," such as it is, had moved on.

I asked you for your biggest objection and this is your idea of a response? Jeez, you could have copied and pasted something. One. Just one real objection...

Here, let me type it for you... "I (psikobunny) don't have the patienceand the commitment to become a Jedi so I am going to do everything I can so that nobody else will."

O.K. now that we got that in the open, here is my response to your objection: I agree that the path to becoming a Jedi in this game is cracked. I also agree that Jedi don't really belong in this time period of the Star Wars cannon. There are several solutions that the devs should consider such as adding other uber profession to A.) Hunt existing Jedi and B.)Provide people with an alternative to Jedi or simply changing the time period in SWG. However, FS grinding in it's current implementation is independent of this and you won't stop or even slow down people from FS grinding by blocking a PP conversion.

This thread will keep going until we get a definitive and final answer. If this thread gets locked as a result of childish behavior then I'll start another one under a different account. If that account gets ban I'll use a different account. etc. etc. etc.

So unless you can respond with one objection I will completely ingnore everything you write and consider any other such response as trolling. If you can however provide me with a legitimate objection then I would be happy to engage in the dialogue you outline above.

That pretty well sums it up for me. It doesn't matter what anyone says in objection, it doesn't matter what reasons we give. You've stated in this one post "Unless a red name comes in here and says "Not gonna happen, soshut upalready" you're going to keep dragging this issue out regardless of the opposition to it in this forum.

So in effect, you're little more than a confessed troll. This whole "space XP should become Force XP" exercise is just a sad, pathetic grab for attention.

"Respond with one objection" - that would be sad if it wasn't so hilarious. Respond with one objection Anzel, just so you can say "That's it? That's the only objection you can come up with?" followed by another essay of inane drivel designed to ignore the objection while you talk about how your only concern is "for the game".

Regardless, youcan't answer the concerns and objections people present. You haven't even tried to respond to any of those presented in this thread. IIn fact, the only way the process could be converted to a workable system would require a complete overhaul of the XP/PP process now in place. So in effect, you're asking for a complete revamp of the JtL portion of the game for the sole benefit of players that want an elite profession in the ground game.

There's the objection you're asked to respond to. Can't wait to see you fumble this one.

You gotta love how his only response is to change the subject and stuff words in people's mouth's. So much for giving him what he asked for, yet again.

I do not believe that anyone should get anything special in space for their ground profession. If jedi were to get special space skills...

Smugglers would equal moves

Commandoes would want special heavy ship weapons

and on and on through all the professions....

I DO support FS conversion. Simply put, I love JTL.....and I would like a jedi on the ground. I went out and bought all the grenades....I was already a commando...but I simply cannot bring myself to throw them. I would have FUN in space though. This is a game, why not make everything you can fun? lol

OK heres my 2 cents worth

With some hard work you can earn 1 million xp in an hour in space, likewise ive heard people on the ground claim they can cap their rifles/pistols/swords whatever xp 3 times in a buff - so thats what 900k of XP, oh, errrr..that seems to be on a par with the space xp.... All those people shouting that space XP is too easy, seems its pretty much as easy on the ground. Theres no problem in my opinion with converting space XP for FS XP..

quote again "I am all for the FS conversion....ONLY and ONLY if jedi suffer xp loss for dying in space. Simply put...you can't have one without the other. Dying in space is just like dying on the ground. Your dead either way"

sorry, but I think youre mistaken there, we are talking about FS xp not JEDI Xp.. still going to earn jedi xp by fighting with a lightsaber.. were just talking about using Space combat XP as a means of getting to Jedi Initiate. Jedi Flying ships gain no XP other than space combat xp for increasing their pilot rank, neither can they use their powers up there and their space prowess has no effect on how good a jedi they areso why make them lose xp for dying?

so 1 million to 900k.. lets just make 1 million space XP worth 30,000 FS xp and were about even. meh, if yoiu want to make it that 1.5 million = 30,000 FS xp just to make sure we pilots get shafted then go ahead. Piloting is what we do.. well keep doing it. (yes the conversion rate may need to be altered after the CU but then they all might)

Then _why_ do _you_ continue to read threads that you deem "over and done with"? they obviously annoy the hell out of you.

For that to "work" you would have to physically travel to the Village 3 times during that buff session, due to Caps. If it's implemented for Space, a cap would be implemented for space, and then what happens to the tens of millions lots of Aces have stored up?

Actually no one is talking about using Space Combat Experience. The Multiple Ace bonus would make that instantly abusable.

Because I don't want silence to be taken as tacit agreement. Because the bandwagon jumping yes-men should see why it is in fact a bad idea for space. Because its a lot of fun watching Anzel unable to converse at a level above 5th grade playground, yet pretend to aspire so much higher.

What I love is how he keeps repeating over and over how he doesn't enjoy repeating himself. I think I can speak for him when I say that we both really want a red name to weigh in on this. Not some lame remark like "We are looking into this.", but an actual official stance on the subject.

In all seriousness, I'm not looking to incite childish behavior. I was hoping to have a constructive debate but the thread degraded somewhere in the first page. I still think this is a discussion worth having if anyone out there is able to engage without name calling etc.
