If you want objections, Anzel, I suggest you just reread the thread. There's been plenty of them so far. Some of them have come with a hefty dose of flaming, yeah, but they're here and they're not hard to find. Spending 15 minutes to go over what's already been posted is going to let you understand the counterpoints a lot better than asking an already frustrated group of players to repost their opinions a second or third time.
I don't think it's going to make a difference, Tomo. His mind's made up and he doesn't want to have to face the proof that his ideas don't work and aren't well thought-out. It's like a microcosm of the modern political system, really. Everyone has their ideas and ignores rational oposing views rather then trying to rebut them. What 'ideas' are you referring to? Reduced shuttle times? Calling pets/droids in the wild? Armor encumberence? Specials causing damage to the user? Galaxy Wide Vendor Search? Mind buff times? These have all been pretty good ideas and oh yeah, people had the same type of objections then that they do now to this 'idea'.
I think I can speak for psikobunny, ducimus, and the others when I say that the real reson they haven't stated one objection to this idea is because they know there is nothing legitimate that they can say besides "I don't have the patience to become a Jedi and I don't think anyone else should have one either."
Scroll up just a touch and you'll see me asking at leat three times in a row for any such objection and all you'll find is the same people saying the same thing over and over. You'll see psiko repeating over and over that he doesn't like to repeat himself, youll see ducimus calling me a retard, etc. etc. etc. Jealousy, fear, insults, etc. Everything except a well articulated and legitimate objection.
/chuckle This entire thread proves you wrong and you're the only one who can't seem to see that. It's this blind adherance to an idea along with a complete disregard of rationality that's really amusing. I could read this stuff all day, it's classic.
And psikobunny, you made some fantstic points back there. I didn't reply because I found this gem too late and the "discussion," such as it is, had moved on.

Don't ever speak for me. Get off your lazy behind and reread this thread if you want objections. I and othersstated enough objections and had them ignored, while you chased trolls.
Edit- here, just so you don't tire yourself out, I'll list a couple posts you ignored.
Bottom third of page2 a post by starstrider6- If he hadn't mirrored my thoughts so well, I would have responded too.
Top of page 3 a post by me- read it close, read it careful, and think long and hard before you respond.

This thread will keep going until we get a definitive and final answer. If this thread gets locked as a result of childish behavior then I'll start another one under a different account. If that account gets ban I'll use a different account. etc. etc. etc.
So unless you can respond with one objection I will completely ingnore everything you write and consider any other such response as trolling. If you can however provide me with a legitimate objection then I would be happy to engage in the dialogue you outline above.

anyone remember when jedi players were the minority....

I am all for the FS conversion....ONLY and ONLY if jedi suffer xp loss for dying in space. Simply put...you can't have one without the other. Dying in space is just like dying on the ground. Your dead either way.
no technicly you can eject from a ship so you dont actually die.

Here's the deal:
Every time you get put in a position to back up your talk with more than just endless repetition, you want to start over. This entire thread is a do-over from one last month. We're three pages into this thread, I've stated enough of my positions clearly and distinctly, yet AGAIN you want me to start over for your sake. Screw that. Not my problem if you have the attention span of a gnat. I'm done giving you the benefit of the doubt.
Then _why_ do _you_ continue to read threads that you deem "over and done with"? they obviously annoy the hell out of you.
Comedy.

With some hard work you can earn 1 million xp in an hour in space, likewise ive heard people on the ground claim they can cap their rifles/pistols/swords whatever xp 3 times in a buff - so thats what 900k of XP, oh, errrr..that seems to be on a par with the space xp.... All those people shouting that space XP is too easy, seems its pretty much as easy on the ground. Theres no problem in my opinion with converting space XP for FS XP..
Actually no one is talking about using Space Combat Experience. The Multiple Ace bonus would make that instantly abusable.
were just talking about using Space combat XP as a means of getting to Jedi Initiate.

Because I don't want silence to be taken as tacit agreement. Because the bandwagon jumping yes-men should see why it is in fact a bad idea for space. Because its a lot of fun watching Anzel unable to converse at a level above 5th grade playground, yet pretend to aspire so much higher.

What I love is how he keeps repeating over and over how he doesn't enjoy repeating himself. I think I can speak for him when I say that we both really want a red name to weigh in on this. Not some lame remark like "We are looking into this.", but an actual official stance on the subject.
In all seriousness, I'm not looking to incite childish behavior. I was hoping to have a constructive debate but the thread degraded somewhere in the first page. I still think this is a discussion worth having if anyone out there is able to engage without name calling etc.
