Thread: ROTW ships: How would you correct them?

I don't use WO3 andI can kill other JSFs with 2 level 6 weapons with relative ease. I don't usually fire more than 10-20 shots in the course of a fight 1 on 1 fight that lasts about 5mins, give or take 3 mins.. So, does that mean I'm better? Or that you 'spammers' are worse?

spamming shots is a bad idea generally I think unless you're a very aggressive player.

We don't want to have them nerfed to oblivion. We want them balanced with the old ships, they may even be slightly better. As long as they're not twice as good as they are now.
JSF being the worst, half the hitbox, twice the mass, twice the guns, twice the YPR.
Fixing WO3 won't effect you much. It's much more painfull with 2 or more guns.

Thing is, fixing WO3 would probably screw me over. I got one waepon slot and a not overly powerful gun to boot and it takes at times 8 direct hits to bring down some of m better opponents at times. They should also fix the RG TIE hitbox before they mess with WO3. Imagine scoring a valid hit on an RG TIE but due to no WO3, it not doing much damage? I'm already having 30minute battles with some of those guys as it is...I really don't want them dragged out any longer.

Ah good point. I guess in that respect I can see how it'd be more balancing if they did fix it then. Iwonder ifa lot of pilots who fly the GSF and the JSF might even stick to one gun and fly using WO3 rather than two guns and not if it was fixed?
Imagine if everything was JSF standard. Interceptors would dominate even more than they do now.

Exactly, one of the things that the CU did do right is bring the old style armours back into play, so everyone wasn't running around in composite anymore.
If they apply the same model to JTL and make the old style ships viable again without nerfing anything that would make me happy.
How about this, a quested schematic for experimental and long thought lost engines or weapons for the classic pre-rotw ships that could increase the handling / speed / YPR / damage, had a low mass but was a specific component to that ship and only could be used in say, an old style x-wing.
Much like some of the elite components can only be loaded into a POB ship.

You really don't "have" to get a JSF to hang with them. They're not invulnerable. The issue with them is that they attract a lot of people who have no talent whatsoever for flying who think they deserve the galaxy because they rode in the back of a Y-Wing, Aggressor or Krayt to get to Tier 4.
And yes, I am saying that these people have no right being anywhere near my level of performance because of a ridiculously overpowered spacecraft that's practically handed to them for a song.
