Privateer profession ships not balanced:
There is no master level single seat ship like the other professions
There is no Bomber comparable to the B-wing or TIE Bomber
There is no Fast Attack ship comparable to the Awing or TIE Advanced
In short all the Privateer ships are too close to the same.
PVP damage is too high, or defenses too weak.
Ship Chassis degrade too fast, and degrade from PVP even friendly duels.
In PVE during beta there was a time when you could swing behind ships and chase them down to take them out. I had a real feel like this is a dog fight… and I’m maneuvering into position, but people complained it was too easy… which it was. Now most fights I just spin at low speeds shooting as the ships that are so much faster then me circle or joust. I wish there was a better compromise.

My main gripe
Smugglers Alliance pilots being referred to as "Smuggler" in missions. I'm a Smuggler, a very proud one for over 6 months, waiting for my prof of choice to get a revamp and get the content it truly deserves. Now the first piece of smuggling "content" for a year is available to anyone who decides to work for the the right privateer faction.

One of my biggest complaints, though definitely not game-breaking (just annoying) is the fact that when I fly in first person mode (almost exclusively), when I pan around the cockpit, I can't see my character. I want to see my ugly white Rodian's legs and arms and some semblence of him actually piloting that ship, not just mebehind my joystick. I know it's a graphical/art departmentissue, but would still be pretty neat to see that.
AI seems a little out of whack. I've noticed that sometimes it just seems to give up and stat flying lazy circles around, even after stating out aggressively. Granted, I just finished tier 2 so I haven't jumped up into the "big leagues" yet, but even the tier two NPC's just seem to wait to get killed after a little bit. Some less predictable programming would be nice, where instead of just going in a lazy circle, they pull a sudden Immelman or split-S or something more along the lines of what a "military" flight style would suit.

The fact I am master rebel, but was trained as master privateer, got "fixed" back to master rebel and now have no equipment or droid certs.

CAN I GET PAID TO BE A PILOT??????? right now my biggest gripe with jtl is that there is no way to support your love of flying, with the profession pilot, it doesnt pay nearly what it needs to for me to buy and maintain ships. i happen to have skills that allow me to get money on the ground, but i dont think you should HAVE to have anything but pilot, maybe some pilot mission terms??? how bout it smoke? i know u can sweet talk soe for us, just think if when you were flying you didnt get paid, it would be fun, but how would the bills get paid?

#1 issue: The so-called invulnerability bug or client/server sync bug where you visually hit the ship, see the shield bubble flash, hear the hit, but get no damage.
I started a huge discussion thread on this a few days ago, a very worthwhile read for our correspondent since no dev has honored us with a post so far. Skip thru some of the flames in there, many people are suffering because of this and many have excellent points in there.
You can find the thread here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=pilot&message.id=7824

The necessity of having to group to master. I'm not opposed to it as an option but there should be an option for those that are, for whatever reason, unable or disinclined to get a group together to do it.
A compromise would be that you can get master faster by running the missions but you can also get master by accumulating the 7.5mil XP for the box./agree
I'm in a small guild with very few active people, i dont know many people, would be near impossible to get the people.
/agree with this one also. I am in a guild that isn't that active with pilots, and don't see any good ways of getting this done, especailly with PvP being in the picture. I am having a hard enough time as it is getting a group together for tier 4 missions.

TIE Interceptor has too little mass and not enough weapon hardpoints. Should be 2 weapon 1 missile with about 10k more mass.

My top issues:
1) Master level missions in a PVP zone. I don't PVP much at all, and as a neutral pilot, I don't want to be forced to do it just to get my master level badge. This is very disrespectful of those of us that enjoy playing a PVE game with our friends, and flies in the face of what the original SWG concept was all about (for those of you that don't recall, SWG stated that PVP would be an option, not mandated)
2) No single seat craft at master level privateer.
3) No 2 seater ship in the privateer line.
4) Some Smuggler Alliance missionsreferring to non-smugglers as "Smugglers". If I am a ground based smuggler (meaning - did not purchase JTL), why should a space-based dancer get access to smuggling contentwhen I cannot?
5) Forced grouping to succeed at higher levels. I keep reading about people unable to advance because they can't form a group sufficient enough to get the mission completed. If people play at off hours or just like to play solo, they are effectively gated by this.

Ship Cruising Bug - Drops to 0 speed and then back to full power
If I am cruising at top speed in space the ship will occasionally drop down to ZERO and then quickly jump back up to full speed. This is very annoying when im in battle because I will have my recticle on my target, the engine will drop to 0 and then I will lose my target in huge way.. and have to realign again.
This happens all the time, and on all the ships I own. Anyone else have this problem? Or is it a "Feature" ???

Far and away the most important issue is being forced to PvP for Mastery. It's an atrocious idea.
