maybe we all should go over to the jedi forum and demand they let us use our fighters in groundside PvP....do carpet bombings and strafings runs on the MO etc. A good T10 RE weapon does, what, 4500 damage per shot? Factor in 75% PvP reduction, and thats still a 4-shot kill against even the buffiest buffed-up jedi After all, we EARNED our skills in our fighters, we DESERVE to use them from 545m awayagainst unshielded infantry in defiance of all laws of martial chivalry, its onlyFAIR

But what about Avoid Incap...

Oh well, time to make another attack run with the TIE Bomber and drop off some Space Bombs?

QFE!!

Tell ya what, Manna (BTW, Living Legends guild andus pilotsthinkWE are Godly? ROFL), why don't we go ahead with your idea....implement your nice lil force powers in space.

But as compensation for this, andas Mr. Droid327 there suggested, we shall bring our ships to your ground game. You can use your force cloak and we'll just replay that lil scene on Tattoine. However, instead of the Lars homestead, I think we'll just blow up the entire city that houses the "Living Legends". Sound good? Does to me. Then I think we can just track down every lil hidey hole ya have and do the same.

Oh, and would that make you all "Post-Mortem Legends" then? Just curious.

NICE.

But of course, we'd have to add some extras to it since we'd be fighting stuff that's so much smaller, say, adding radiuses to our missiles...

I could see it now:

*Red group is overt flying over naboo and spots a group of jedi farming at bases.*

Red Two: Hey, let's get em!

*The fighters sweep in low and start blasting everything around the Jedi.*

Red Three: Dang, they put up avoid incap!

Red Two: And now they've cloaked!

Red One: They can't keep both of those up forever... hmm... Check out that lair right next to them...

*targets it and hovers over it*

Red One: Bye Bye Jedi!

*drops a space bomb right on top of it*

*a bunch of incapacitated jedi suddenly appear nearby*

Well, of course missiles/bombs would have to have an area affect.

I mean, if grenades have a bit of an area of damage I would say 100 meters is a good start for the radius of a proton missile with maybe 250 for the space bombs.

Guys you're forgetting one important thing...

If we prove effective at all against Jedi we'll get nerfed into oblivion.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Sounds like you think you are all gods, but something that it take a week to obtain isn't Godly...no matter how muchyou force your insecurities on other people.

Now, as a retort I will say that there are ALL kinds of benefits listed in Star Wars cannon for Jedi in space, PERIOD END OF STORY FOR ALL YOUR MYOPIANS OUT THERE.

Someone that is sensitive to the all powerful "Force" would have an advantage in any situation regardless of what you think. SOOO, that would apply in space, in the water on land etc.

Just because my idea makesall you "Master Pilots" obsolete doesn'tmake it wrong.

actually it does when announced was stated to be a twitch based game where NO person essentially had any modifiers of any kind based on character. It was and is and hopefully will stay that the player behind the screen and the ship choice(limited as they may be for effective flight at master pilot) and the equipment are the ONLY thing that influences the outcome in space. If this changes alot like myself will probably leave, since my main pilot IS my jedi but I don't want special treatment in space it's gotten me nerfed twice so far on the ground.

Your "jedi skills" are just numbers in a computer file, used in a skill vs skill RPG system on the ground.

Your pilot skills are how good you are at observation and reaction.

In case you missed the memo, Space is a twitch game.

SOOO, there is no "observation and reaction" in the ground game?

Your ignorance is deafening.

And your hubris is suffocating. I've been tame and direct thus far, stating simply that the benefits you think you deserve do not apply since the games are fundamentally different, but your further responses indicate that you are REALLY asking for this.

You admit you're new to pilot, and you try to claim ignorance on my part? Don't make me laugh. When you take the time to master the nuances of just one Pilot profession, you are welcome back to try again.Have done your level best to master the PvE aspect of space, and made at least a token attempt at the deep pool that is Space PvP? Do your best to at least understand the game as it exists before you try to enforce your game upon it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, yet unfortunately yours is selfish, shortsighted, uninformed and yeah I'm saying it, ignorant.

I'm not jealous of Jedi in a game, I pity them. I pity their need for crutches to make the game "fun" or "better" for them. You care about yourself, and that is sad. You don't try to fit into the gameworld along with everyone else, you try to change it to fit your whims. You bring up canon like you know a blamed thing about it. Stop and consider that the selfish desires and world bending changes thatyou and your ilk havepushed for, to the point of sucking away everyone else's development time, isan exact parallel to the megalomania that Palpatine accused the JediOrder of before he had them destroyed. It's the same mindless slavery to absolutes that led to the Destruction of Palpatine and the Empire. I pity you that you're so blinded bythe glowgiven to you by the game that you can't see or don't care that there's more than one way to have fun here, and that pushing Jedi-ism on everyone else isn't necessary.

Everyone is beautiful, you're beautiful, but you're also human which means you're prone to being stupid. Right now this is me saying to you as a person, your idea is stupid and would do more harm than good. You should go back and enjoythis aspect of thegame without your little numbers that say you have magic powers, because the enjoyment is there to be had, trust me on this.

Y'know...it's that whole 'You're obsolete/ineffective because you're not a Jedi' mentality that's really starting to irk me.
Some of us DECIDE to not go the Jedi route, not out of laziness but because it just doesn't hold any attraction.
I USED to be a big 'live and let live' kind of player, but now I can't wait for the inevitable, which will be Jedi brought directly in line with EVERY other profession.

The reward for the grind?
You get to hold a glowstick and look pretty. 'Grats.
