Thats always a tought one. If you polled the BH forums an overwhelming majority would want to hunt Jedi in space. If you polled the Jedi forums an overwhelming majority would want to have special abilities. If you polled the Smuggler forums they would want to have restricted movement and/or many special smuggler only missions.
Would these things be better for pilots in general? Maybe yes maybe no, but the compairisons could go on for a long time. What I have always tried to do is take no profession (or the FS posting group) over the rest of the pilots. One of my famous personal quotes from my time in restaurant managment regarding focus groups is "beware of asking a question of a specific group when you allready know what the answer will be" and I think asking this in the FS group would get the same "yes" answer as things like "would you like for easier conversion rates?", "would you want special bonuses for ******".
Bingo. The Pilot and JtL forums are full of the people who fly. They are the people who are out there and come to the forums because they care what happens to the Pilot professions and space in general. Going to the Smuggler forum and asking 'Should the Devs add Smuggler-based content to space now?' is lip-service, nothing more. Asking that question in the Pilot and/or JtL forums and you will get responses from a wide range of Pilots, including several prominent Smuggler-Pilots, and I believe you will get an answer closer to what would be best for the Pilot Profession as a whole, if not space in general.

I think we're pretty much saying the same thing. Except I believe that the Devs/SOE should do what's in the best interest for SWG/JTL as a whole and not just thie pilot community, the Jedi/FS community, etc. etc.

For the record I'm not a Jedi. I have been here since launch (see date by name on left) and have had four accounts since. Ihave mastered every profession except Politician, Swordsman, WS, and ASon one toon or another. Some professions (Merchant, Medic, Doctor, Marksman) two and three times. Also, I've mastered six squadrons in JTL.
I'm a member of one of the biggest guilds on my server who can verify everything above including the fact that I truly am a player who is interested in the 'betterment of the game" and that is my only agenda.
You on the other hand have been here less than a year (mastering every pilot profession twice) so let's relax a little with all of the 'agenda' talk. You have absolutely no perspective on SWG beyond sitting in space hiding from other players. Comeback to me when you've done something else besides troll the forums and master the same profession over and over again.

Suuuree. Oh ya, of course the ppl you hang out with will verify everything you say. Know what? I know alot of pilots, and they'll verify everything i say. Funny thing about opinions in MMO's,..... "if everyone around me feels the same why i do, it must be a majority opinion! " Imagine that.. and ya know theres another group of people with the exact opposite stance of yours that thinks the same way. Novel concept for you im sure.

ANd this means what? Of course i could state ive been playing MMO's since BEFORE UO, to the present in some bogus attempt like yours to say "my opinion is worth more than yours" But i dont play that game, i dont need to. Ya you know ive mastered more than pilot, but i dont see any reason to include it. Stuff like Marksman, artisan, scout, ranger, rifleman, and shipwright, but its obvious i dont think much of that, what makes you think ill be impressed with your garbage?
I am more senior than you when it comes to SWG. Being here since launch, mastering all of the professions, having multiple accounts, joining a guild and getting to know players from all aspects of the game gives me a much different perspective on SWG than you judging by your behavior here on the forums.
You need to tone it down a little bit there buddy. I'm not the guy shoving you into your locker. You can't get back at him by trying to attacking random people on game forums. It may make you feel tough or clever or whatever your pathology happens to need but it's not going to actually solve your problem.
I'm a fan of Star Wars and a fan of SWG just like you. We obviously have different perspectives but your not helping yourself or the community by trolling random threads. The purpose of this thread is to carry on a constructive dialogue until we get a definitive and final answer from a recognized authority. You disagree. We all get it.

2.) Blue Frogs are a totally separate issue and aren't the subject of this thread. If you want to discuss blue frogs I have an entire site dedicated to them in my signature.

Actually the point to this thread seems to be people posting reasoned and valid counterarguments to the concept you are pushing for, and you sidestepping around them and repeating ad nauseum that it will "make the game better" without any reasoning to back yourself up. Let's keep at it for a few more pages eh? It's fun watching you talk without saying anything.

psiko! Dude, I though we lost you back there somewhere. Anywho, I did address counterarguments the original post. Everything you seek is there. If there is some valid argument that you have on one of the points I made how's about telling me without any personal attacks or Special Olympic talk?
I'd be happy to have a normal dialogue..
