I've played on several servers and have never seen more than 5 other people in the same zone in space. So at least on my server I know it's not gonna be a balance issue. Keep complaining though, everybody knows what the developers consider "balance", so if they do ever decide to revamp the ships, I'll just say "I told you so" while your complaining that your master ship gets 1 shotted by tier 2 npcs.

Hmm, in big battles the imbalance is much less noticeable - its when small numbers of people fight that the imbalance is more profound.

I.e in a massive furball youll just shoot at everything and do your best to not get hit, but when you are 1 on 1 and the other ship has more firepower 50% more mass and twice the manouverability you havent a chance unless you get a shoot in on an initial head to head pass.

Well, the deal with the jedi fighter is: It's a friggen awesome dogfighter. The other issue is, it's a missle magnet. You can tell you're never gonna hit it with lasers, so you have someone take over the dogfight, back off, and unload a few image recs onto it. I killed like 2 or 3 jedi fighters in an hour of pvp like that. They simply can't avoid the majority of missles.

So while the fighter is unbalacing, the best defense you can have is a couple of mark II image rec launchers. This may actually give a new role to the B-Wing, just sit back and kill. Provided they don't catch on and you don't get mobbed by them.

soon as I get my darn storm badge my Imperial is going rebel, when that happens I moffball the JF, and switch over to the A-Wing. I'll have two A-Wing flying rebel aces.

Anyway I don't get whats up with you awing pilots getting shot down by missle oppressors..... As an oppressor pilot I would gun a-wings down, never bothered with missles. And as an A-wing pilot you'd be lucky to get a lock on me before I'm already behind you.

I must be the only person that thinks that they should add some Pilot columns to the Jedi and that you should actually have to BE a Jedi to fly a Jedi Starfighter rather than an Imperial. And I AM an Imperial.

Besides...I'd rather have a Tie Defender anyway...

Oh yeah.. and as to the 90% of Imps fly the JSF now.. sure, I have one but I fly my Royal Guard TIE way more.

You tried fitting armor in a JSF? I'd say i could get some some in best i would be able to is some level 4 600 ones. I could change my outload but then i wouldn't have a good as shield or weapons, both which i find more useful.

Are you mad - the JSF can carry almost as much equipment as an X-wing and you moan about not fitting ENOUGH in it!

Sounds like the imps got a ship that is finally ballancing the space war... guess what, you actually have to learn to fight, no more boom and zoom /bye bye imp

1) you still killed more than you died

2) you claiming that it was only because you had missiles doesnt count, 90% of my kills of awings was by missile

3) you are just pissed cause you have to work and it isnt easy anymore

Imps, ignore this stuck up terrorist... it proves just how badly these children are in games.. they lose their 'I win' Button and now they claim we have one.. but we still lose. The original poster has absolutely no logical reasons for this post yet he wants to flame imps.... guess what, we can now compete on almost equal ground, deal with it or shut up

Why do people always post rubbish like this?

Are there really people out there who actually think the Awing was the best PvP ship?

The Imperial side has 2 ships with the manouverability of the Awing and 1 that has more than enough firepower plus manouverability!

The Awing was never an I WIN button - it was no better than an advanced, interceptor or oppressor in good hands.

If you dont have the actual pilot abilities to compete in balanced ships thats your problem, the answer is not to unbalance the game but to practice and improve on your skills!

I love mine. (Finally got it to generate the ship.) I stuck my RE'd Level 10 engine in it. 38K mass. 100.9 Speed. Y/P/R 82/82/83. hehehe.

Is it just me or does it seem that the Royal Guard Tie Interceptor almost flies backwards during a hard turn when you use a good engine and EO4?

I used to notice the same thing on my vanilla Intercepter. All of these new ships have that same insane YPR. Funny thing is flying backwards almost in front of an enemy and then one shotting their engines out while they're staring at my cockpit.

(Which I did long before the "uber" fighters came out btw)

I'm Imperial and I have a JSF and I agree it is unbalanceing. I dont use it for pvp, matter of fact I've not flown it for several days. I see it as being part of the problem. But its not just the new ships in ROTW that need balance, its all of the player ships in JTL need to be readdressed and balanced.

Most of the ships in JTL can not perform what is thier istablished roles. It is as if the devs totally overlooked all the resources they have. Less than a handful of the ships we have can actually come close to matching thier offical descriptions and stats. Take the A-wing and TIE Interceptor for example, both of these by JTL's standards atleast should have 2 laser hardpoints, the A-wing was the single fastest fighter in the galaxy until the TIE Avenger and TIE Defenders came out. Only the TIE Interceptor could come close to its speed, but still the Interceptor surpassed it in agility not even the mightlyTIE Defender could do that. The Interceptor was not a ship given out to just anyone and this should be the same in JTL, it needs moved to the master box.

Theres just so many little details like this that has been overlooked or completely disreguarded in JTL.

Well said!

Never really understood 3 guns and1 missile for the Xwing - thought it should be 4 guns and 2 torps, same with other ships! And now ships like the Awing and Interceptor have been made more unlike their originals with the introduction of the new ships.
