Heh...in addition to my post above. Gassygunslinger, I realise from your posting name it was -you- I helped on that Vaksai mission but you conveniantly forget that I helped you the first time round too when you got the Heavy X-wing by mistake. I still hung around to help you the second time didn't I? Just asking for a ship you couldn't use in return wasn't too bad was it? Damn man I even offered to PAY you for it so don't parade around lying just because

1. You couldn't handle the mission yourself and

2. I helped you the first time round with no hassle. I also remember when you said you had to get the mission from the Rebel station that I said "well actally you get it from Kashyk station" but -you- didn't listen and so we went ahead with your way anyway.

Thats trust for you. I actually thought you were my friend in game but obviously not.

And phht thats hilarious 'apparently' giving the ship to a friend. I did. Her name is Akyma Cali, one of the nicest, best pilots on Bria that I know and you can go ahead and ask her yourself. I gave it her because when she did the Advanced X-wing quest, it bugged for her so she couldn't get one any other way. I also add that I gave her the X-wing chassis forFREE after you gave it me atNO profit toMYSELF even though it was I who helped -YOU- on the mission...so if that makes me a jerk, then you really are a strange twisted poor excuse for a pilot and exactly the type I am raging against in this thread.

I'm seriously considering going Imperial now...and probably a server switch. I've tried my best on Bria and I'm not saying for one moment that I'm the greatest pilot of all time....noway, not for a second, but I try and give a lot more than I take and in return I just get insulted.

lol... Dude... That post was a joke... Just seeing if you noticed my name... I know you did stick around, and I know you gave it to her (even emailed her asking how the ship was)... I was just giving off hints man, sorry if you took it the wrong way. I was just hoping you would take it as a joke man. Sorry...

P.S. You ARE the best pilot I've seen, IMO

Just thought i'd mention that in order to avoid any misshaps in DS when farming, just rename your ship to "FactionFarmer"
I found that it eases alot of the potential tension. Just be honorable about it and stricktly farm. (thats the hard part, ensuring that the person will stay honorable)

Ahh, see thats where i just fail to comprehend. Ppl come up with these rules, and i dunno where they get them, Heres one primary example.

Here's the classic sterotypical tell:

"Plz leave me alone i just want to farm FP!"

Hmm, ok, so let me get this straight.

Your overt, hence PvP enabled?

Hmm yes yes.

Your in a PVP battlefield type sector?

Yup.

Ok, so your OVERT, AND your in a PvP sector. So where does the "leave me alone" part come in? Im having trouble with that.

Heres another example one that leaph was venting at me in tells the other night, i think i ran into this once before myself, but promply put the guy on ignore so i didnt have to hear it:

"What the hell, you killed me outside of DS!!!"

So, was there some magical rule that was established that said all PvP must take place in deepspace? Didnt get a fax, a memo, or an email, nobody told me, just suddenly all PvP is in deepspace only? Hmm then why have all these factional space stations outside of deepspace then? Things that make me go "hmmmmmm".

Whatever some of these people are smoking, i want some too, must be some good stuff.

Edits: I R a gud spieler.

I have a simple rule for flying: If its Overt, I will attack it. Period. Most of the time, I die, as my load out is pretty crap at the moment and the X-wing has a big hit box (though I have to say there are some absolutely GREAT pilots on Starsider. Salute to you guys). If I kill you once, or twice, I will probably leave you alone from then on, as that just becomes sad. If you kill me over and over I may continue coming back after you, as each time I die, I learn a little bit more and get a little bit better.

No amount of "don't attack me" or "I'm just farming" will be responded to. I will send salutes, "nice flying" or any sort of nod to someone's skill, tenacity, honor, etc as necessary, or chat with someone who wants to chat nicely, but up in space is the area for pilots. Deep Space is the area for pilots looking for a fight. There are plenty of other places you can farm covert with nochallenge from players. Hyper in at your own risk.

I am going to whine a bit so get ready.

I wish that people would quit complaining about JSFs and other RoTW ships. Without these ships, my fellow neutral pilots and Iwould not have a viable dogfighting ship. Sure we can stack alot of guns on a krayt, but everyone knows that, so you last about 3 seconds as the true fighters (a-wings, x-wings, Advanceds, Interceptors etc.) attack you as soon as they see you. (ask the rebels we fought this weekend.) I fly a JSF in PvP and other than the optimal turning speed which give a slight advantage in a turning fight vs a similar engine, there is not that much difference than anyother dogfighter. Also, except for the smaller hitbox and second weapon slot, the heavy scyk is the better ship as it has more mass anda wider optimal turning speed range.(not sure about the new heavy rebel and Imp ships.)

I have heard people complain that all they see are RoTW ships. Yes, most people fly them. However, before that it was a-wings and advanced's. The numbers are comparable.

I think that most people have a problem with these snoty new pilots that seem to filtering in. Please don't transfer that dislike to the ships. Its not thier fault that thier pilots are whiney little b#$*^es.

The mission itself was probably solo'able until ROTW. But now the first mission point is next to a Tier 5 Droid Pirate spawn point for an asteroid. And in my opinion, the tier 5 droid ships are the hardest ship to attack in PvE...super quick, small hit box and nicely armed. Where can I get me one of those?

The T5 droid fighters have always been there. There were no new NPC spawns made for RotW, the foes for mining pop up when you mine. *aside* solo'd that way before RotW

/agree though T5 droid fighters are nasty, but they taught me a lesson and turned me from being as strong a JSF disliker as I was. I realized when fighting them in my JSF, that it was the exact matchup intended by history. My JSF was perfectly designed to deal with them, and thus it"fits" in the game in my mind now. Still think it shouldnt have an Ord slot, but that's just me.

I agree with the origional poster as well. We don't get a lot of trash talk on Sunrunner.. the pilot population is lower.. there was one.. We rub chassis when we were both on our first pilot grind. He went on to the PvP arenas, ground & space. I was grinding another chr. Now he's better than I am. He's my Red Baron. And I'll toss him a wave before I come round to his six.

Personally I kill em the moment I see em, anywhere. I've been burnt before by the 'don't kill me please' tells, so unless it is someone I have had experiance with before I'll go in for the kill. Given I fly my B-wing exclusively in DS I don't have the time to react to someone I have decided to give room too while tearing up gunboats, takes me some time to get up to manueverable speed.

I agree though, alot of new pilots flying their JSF and thinking they are invinsible. You can certainly tell who is who. I do enjoy vaporizing people who see me as easy prey though, nothing better than entering a dogfight and outmanuvering the JSF in B-wing, makes me smile.

Oh you're my idol. We gotta talk. heh. From your post I can't really infer anything of your skills or the opponents who thought you easy prey.. (well 'cept for the new ones) but if you're outmaneuvering decently skilled pilots in your B-wing, my hat's off to you. I love my B-wing, but very rarely take it to DS...

I had two buddies decide to engage me tonight in DS - they led off with /launchmissile spam followed by REAL ImRec Mk2s. Either my chaff is nicer than I thought, or it wasn't their missiles that were being fired (since they had fire support in the form of about six NPC B-Wings). Dispatched one of them within 45 seconds of the first engagement, and the other within about another 30-45 seconds.

How, I don't know, since I saw the remaining ship launch an ImRec when my chaff launcher was dry. The only thing I can think is it impacted one of the NPCs or glanced off my shields.

Nonetheless, I gave them a "nice one" /tell, but told them the /launchmissile spam was bad form. It was a JSF and Bel-22. 53:6 now.

Boy do I feel sheepish....

I thought in hindsight it was a bit odd coming out of the blue like that. Sorry had my overly defensive 'snap back' shields up since I'd just got back from work so was kinda touchy...Erm. Sorry matey. I don't know what to say apart from I took it too seriously and apologise.

One last thing, Leaph, please vent until you feel better and decide not to leave Bria.

If he keeps listening to me he might. Although i doubt it, Leaph's got too many friends on bria. I dont have as many ties that bind so i think im outta there come hell or highwater. Besdies, im a nobody, i think leaph will be the only one who will remember my stupid arse after im gone. Everyone else i flew with that was in the Empire is already gone.

Having reread Leaphs post, thinking really hard, i think the Empire on bria, had decent PvP pilots in numbers that could be counted on one hand, ever. Im sure theres a few around (infact i know of 1 right now), but compared to the rebels, they lack in numbers. Instead you got these poptart aces in JSF's. I think the rebels on bria are gonna be having a field day until the Empire "reinvintes" the wheel in space. Thats assuming they EVER get intrested in space. The only Imperial JTL group that ever really tried on bria was Nord squadron, and that died when the upper staff decided to disappear and leave the group high and dry. Myself, Vriko, Hostle and even missleboat boy Norram were orginally from Nord Sq. May it RIP.

Vriko's in FOE now, tells me hes trying to get them involved in space some. I hope it pans out. I know he'll do a good job. My ego wants to say its because i trained him, but thats probably not true, regardless, hopefully the empire on bria gets some new talent. they need it.
