Thread: Eta-Actis II Jedi Starfighter

Yeah, sounds like something an engineer would do. Create the most advanced craft they can while making it so only a very few "special" people are capable of flying it. Sounds like shottey workmanship to me! LMAO!!!
(Some people take this stuff a little too seriously!)
This, is a game. It is LOOSELY based on the Star Wars films. If they would have cert'ed it for Jedi only the community would have screamed to the heavens. Hence why it is no longer called the "Jedi StarFighter" and now goes by it's official name.
You can base your flight assumptions on the movies or some strange virtual physics vs real-world physics train of thought... but the honest truth is none of that matters at all. The system is in place, these are the rules they have to work within, and in addition they cannot make something that is going to turn the community on it's head.
So, the "JSF" is now the "ETA2", anyone can fly it as long as they run the missions for it. Worst case scenario is you get 200 imp faction points, go Imp, do the mission, drop Imp and go back to either nuetral or rebel.

No flame intended at all bud! ![]()
I understand completely. Personally I think this ship is HIGHLY over-rated. If you are a mediocre pilot then yes these ships are what you need to compete in PvP. If you are a good/great pilot then these ships are kinda fun to fly around for a week or two but soon after usually end up taking up storage space in your bank.
For those, not-so-ace Ace's that NEED this for an edge... I'm happy it's there for you. For those of us who pride ourselves on our skills in flight and engineering (loading out your ship just right) then these ships have certain advantages and disadvantages which make them more of a cliche' to fly.
The new Heavy XWing, Royal Guard TIE, and the new Nuetral ship seem to be making more of an impact on my server and it's good to see! Now I see more XWings than I have since JTL launched. The new heavy starter ships help this too. I like to see TIE's, Z-95's, XWings, Red TIE Intercepters, and the new nuetral ships cruising around. All of which have similair mass and performance to these EP3 fighters making them viable options. Seeing those EP4-6 ships brings a warm feeling in my heart! LOL!

Well, probably becausea lot of players have fundamental problems with the implementation of this item. IMHO the worst problem with this is the addition of quest flags to the certification system.

His reasoning to give HIS ship to the IMPERIAL is to instill FEAR in the REBELS.
Obviously he is correct, its working out quite well. lol
Bunch of Noobs.
If we want the canon to work correctly for the JSF. then every JEDI on here should be zapped away.
that way only the three actual jedi.. ok two and the noob known as luke during this time period. should be allowed to use it.
Im all for that. how bout the rest of you jedi?
No? didnt think so.
Learn to fly.

I stated this in another thread, but, both the Rebel Alliance and the Empire can trace some lineage back to the Actis II.
The lead designer of the Aetherspite and Actis II was Halex Blissex, the same lead designer of the A-Wing, an honorary General in the Rebel Alliance during the GCW.
I say, let the rebels get the quest from him. Rebels do the same sort of quests from a rebel-faction NPC, then get to meet the legend himself, and he gives them a JSF to complete a rebel mission.
In reality, the ARC and the JSF belong to neither of the GCW factions. Odds are, you could find them in wrecking-yards or inexepensively second-hand.

If it wasn't quest flagged, you know what people would do?
10: create character
20: go imperial
30:do the really simple and easy quest to get it
40: give the deed to other character
50: delete character
60: GOTO 10
Then again, that could be a problem with how easy it is to complete thequest for the Eta-Actis (especially compared to the Royal Guard Tie Figher's missions). It's a catch-22 because it limits other characters from using it, but you know how people love to exploit MMOs in general, and that scenario i just presented would make the Shipwrights more irate about the Actis than they already are.
Want proof of this? You can find people selling Clone Armor on vendors. How exactly do you think they continue to get new sets?

Ok, see your point there. However, why does it matter if people are doing this? I just don't see that it would matter.
I did like the idea of making a Rebel quest for Eta-2 and an Imperial quest for ARC-170. That'd work. But then you also need to remember to make a Neutral mission for each.
Alrighty...some idiot wrote

I'm not Jedi, I use it. ![]()
Why are all you rebels complaining? Get a Freakin Bel-22. Dont even think about saying its too hard to get, they are going for 1.5m on a VERY inflated server. 1.5-3mil to much? Go run a duty.
Stop crying and get to work. Nothing gets done when you whine.
*Note*
I know the original poster was just asking a question, but mention "Eta-2" and the crybabies always come out of their twinkie caves and start arguing about a fake "unbalance"
My question all along has been: if Rebels can't obtain the Eta-2 Actis, thewhy are we certed for it? and why are Imps certed for the ARC-170? Notice Imps/Rebs are NOT certed for the Freelance ship.
