One word, jealousy.

Dont know if anyone has said it already but, you only ened to be imp to do the quest. To fly it you need any kind of pilot 4xxx and have to have done the quest. So for all your jealous rebels, go imp for a day and get it.

But i agree Ala, CG Tie interceptors are just a pain in the ass to hit as JSF. ON top of all that it comes down to the pilot's skill in flying. Put a bad pilot in JSF and it can be just as easily hit as a yt 1300

I agree. Learn to fly better and control your ship. The A-Wing was difficult for me to kill early on because it manuvers rapidly but it taught me to learn how to fly better and now they go down quickly. Learn your ship.

Hence, my Rebel pilot will never take an Imperial line or quest...

Yup, and I'll be getting my ass shot to pieces until I can get my hands on enough level 10 engines to make a decent maneuverability engine for my heavy X-Wing. I've got 4 already, and I'm in Deep Space whenever possible.

Salco, the solution depends on what kinda pilot you are. If you hate the JSF so much and want to kill it, but without using the JSF (having some measure of restraint), I'd recommend using the Awing, Z-95, Ywing LPor Heavy Xwing. On the Neutral side I'd use the Krayt or the Vaksai (which you use) or the Kihraxz.

Personally, I'm a Heavy Xwing/YwingLP kinda guy. I rather hit them hard at the get go and not have to worry about twirling around them for a kill. The Krayt might be the answer for you, don't worry about dodging, just hit them hard before they get that chance to get behind you. Plus it has the added mass for some powerful loads and hastwo frontguns.

I've always like the Y-Tank. It has the mass I've always wanted and 2 forward mounted guns that are directly in-line and closely mounted together for an easier time of aiming. Can't stand that the Heavy Xwing is somehow the uber betterthan version of the Ywing and gets more guns? I mean, wth? Anyhow, rather than complain, I assimilated. But if I really was irked I'd fly the Y-Tank around still and blow up JSFs.

I have a great level 10 non-RE I'm using now. Not high speed, but 76-77 YP on it so it does its job. I'm able to get it to 82+ YPR on a RE now, but holding out for a better than 90.0 speed engine. All the difference in the world between a level 10 and a Nym's engine. Definitely worth the wait and time in DS for the right RE parts for the engine.

You've all said it pretty well about how to use roll. I try and make sure I'm pitching and yawing into them. If you don't get why.. oh well.

I peeked at the meshes of the following ships fitted with the lowest profile engines. Here are the numbers. Don't ask me what the base unit is on these, ask the devs. Of course this is the model, not the hit box. I figured raw numbers where better than screen shots.

JSF 5.4/1.8/6.7

A Wing 5.1/2.6/8.7

Bell 7.3/2.9/11.39

Could we the ther IG Tie Interceptor as well?

Well all nerf calls aside, it does make sense that a ship with a significant advantage (small hitbox) should have some sort of significant penalty as well. Otherwise we call that "unbalanced."

I'm not making judgements about whether the JSF needs to be nerfed or not, but it does seem to be better than most other ships.

indeed learn to use yuor equipment, its not purely the ship its also the pilot. That said the IG Interceptor is my ship of choice, its bigger than a Aretic Star Fighter, but with its design frame has a lower ratio, and wih its winglets well.. Each ship has strengths and weakness use them for what they are and were designed for.

It's too SMALL!! My Vaksai's guns wouldn't even begin to be able to hit it; it fits *inside* the weapons spread! And considering most of those things are flying 1k+ speed, you can forget about trying to line up a good shot! Those things are a plague, they're disastrous! NERF IT! NERF NERF NERF!!!!

p.s. No, I didn't lose to one, but the blasted thing kept running from me and I couldn't kill it, so I just jumped out in frustration.

I didn't have any trouble blowing one away in my Advanced X-Wing. You know, the ship everyone whines has such a wide weapon spread you couldn't hit the broad side of an ISD with it?

Even blew up a Grievous Starfighter in my B-Wing once... of course, the guy musta been a green newb for that to happen

My best one so far peaks about 75 on the YPR, so I'm holding out till I can RE for the 80+. Definitely looking for a level 10 with 90+ speed too.

Oddly, what we have is a primarily Imperial ship with a massive advantage in PvP. And lots of rebels throwing tantrums over it, especially since it had the magical, hallowed name of Jedi.

What's interesting is pre-RotW many Imperial pilots would have claimed the same about the A-Wing. Exceedingly fast with a very small hitbox. Tables turn, and we get a lot of whiney pilots. And new pilots who don't know better.

Now, as an Imp pilot I'd agree that it's a little unbalanced. However, not so much that a good pilot can't take one down in another ship.

Get over it and adapt. And yes, you do have to adapt to a changing game. Just like every other MMORPG that requires changes after an expansion. New gear, better stats...that's the way it goes.

I don't think its just a case of factional whining, anyone can get a JSF. The A-Wing is a good comparison though, with less mass and only 1 gun being more fitting for a "small" fighter.

True these games change and we have to change too, but that shouldn't stop us from asking if a change is really good for the game. That's why we discuss such matters on the forums.
