Thread: YT-2400 is the New Ship for Trials Of Kenodi, info inside
I could handle the Ebon Hawk, but how the heck would they tie that in to anything?

Let me spin a tale: After all KOTOR Episodes, the Ebon Hawk crashlands on Mustafar... some faraway place. only HK stays with the ship. The rest got rescued/died/whatever. The same way he keepsa his body intact, he repairs the Ship slowly over the next 4K years, keeps in Maintained + Blah, by steraling parts from the station Obi/Anakin dueled in. Somwetiomes. for many yrass needed parts are not available, so the Droids waits. But sadly,a few partsare missing... Player has to get those parts, Escort THe Ship in Space, piloted by the Droid to Corellia, onced there,HK is free again and gives you the Deed.
Hey, Quest Designers think this way.... Assassin Droids can last 4K years, why not a Ship's hull. And even if you get it at 1%... you can Rapair it.
Heh i Would have hoped for 1 POB-Ship per Pilot Prof.. but...
Please, if the devs are reading this: STOP giving out "unique" items as quest rewards!
It cheapens them to a great degree. The fact that every pilot who once went imperial combatant has Anakin Skywalker's personal starfighter is painful. I'm not going to get into the balance issue, as the continuity issue is screwier. The only reason I can forgive it is because, well it was a mass-produced ship. Everyone can have a Actis. That's fine. Only one person in the entire galaxy can fly Anakin's at a time.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Ebon Hawk in the game. I really wouldn't. It would make an interesting quest site.I would mind if the Ebon Hawk was owned by every single player. Why? Because there was one Ebon Hawk. Not a hundred thousand, not ten thousand, not a hundred, not ten. Just one.
That's why I'm hoping that the new space POB is something mass produced. YT, Lambda, whatever.
It is the players who make the starships in the game unique. Not the quests to obtain them. Not the devs. And that's how it should remain.
/meeuki looks into his crystal ball.
it will be the yt2400!

Dev Stated ONE new ship. the yt2400 would be neutral Certed, no reason to give everyone the yt 2400 if only neutral pilots has the yt1300. As they want us all buy it. they would get flamed for leaving Imp and Reb Pilots without a new toy.
So, why couldn't the YT-2400 be certed like the Firespray or any of the RotW ships? Just because it's a YT-series ship?

IF, IF we get the YT-2400 it may indicate that we are FINALLY going to start to move FORWARD in the timeline. Personally, I am sick of all the "relic" crap and am more than ready to start moving into ESB era. The fans screamed for Hoth, next logical planet to get I think, but thanks to the prequal, we get Kashyyyk and Mustafar. pfft. I don't know why the Devs just don't change the skins and the title of the game to time warp us back to clone wars era.
If we are geting only one new POB ship I'd be happy if the devs took a little shortcut and made the Firespray a POB.
And are we really getting an HK droid? I know R2-D2 is at least 100 years old at this time, and some Gonks are pushing 800 but a 4000 year old droid?! Come on. The devs would be better off giving us IG series
I wouldn't put HK-47 outside the realm of possibility, if there's any droid in Star Wars lore capable of surviving 4000 years (with proper maitenence and upgrades of course), I think it would be HK-47 (though R2 would be a close second, resourceful little toot). That said, the Ebon Hawk, as many have mentioned is a complete and utter no no as far as I'm concerned. I wasn't one of the ones complaining about the ARC-170 orJedi Starfighterbecause I can see a great number of them surviving several decades, certainly 20 years after the Clone Wars is imaginable, even the Expanded Universe has the Dreadnaught and Z-95 as Clone War era ships still in heavy use... I hate to use real life examples when comparing to Sci Fi, but the current militaries of the world use equipment older than that. 4000 years for a ship though... that's insane.

There are so many great craft to chose from it's almost silly to give us one of a kind ships.
