Thread: YT-2400 is the New Ship for Trials Of Kenodi, info inside
I'm all for new ships, and having the ship that you really want to fly from the universe, but, why is everyone all hot about the yt-2400? Its pretty much the same thing as a yt=1300, just in a slightly different configuration, and it wont have any advantages over any of the other pobs.

That one yes.. actually blew up a couple of them yesterday (JSF quest).
Well.. i guess the rebels would be rather unhappy if they get a unarmed ship(but the lamba is relativly unarmed too, right? Except for the tailgunner? and the forward mounted guns? I cant imagine trying to dogfight with a lambda)
But the yt-2400 is also a transport right? Then they could make transport quests... Be a bus driver

Not to mention that it is truly hideous. That aside, I applaud diversity, if only for providing an alternativeto the YT-1300, thus making it less common. As for being faster and/or better armed... POBs suffer currently from a substantial imbalance, and I doubt that the YT-2400 will be that much better.
I honestly think you all are getting your hopes up, and are gonna be let down. Realisticly, you have to look at it, and all the stuff they've talked about in the expansion, crashed old republic cruisers, the droid from kotor, and all the clones in the screen shots. Then, ok, it just doesn't make sense that the yt-2400 would be for everyone, clearly this is a neutral craft. So, it will be included when the lamba shuttle (and when they can come up with something for the rebels) gets put in the game. The ebon hawk might not be that bad of an idea, it is larger than the current pob's. The biggest problem with that ship is that its what 4000 years old. Wow, ship technology must be going down hill, I mean, the clone stuff is better than the "current" fighters, and then, to have a ship last for 4000 years. Wow, they just don't make them like they used to.

Man, I hope not...the YT-2400 is an ugly ship.
I could handle the Ebon Hawk, but how the heck would they tie that in to anything?
Unless it's going to be something like the Firespray, that everyone can use, it's a stupid idea to release one new POB ship...and honestly, I don't want a POB that's going to end up being flavor-of-the-month, or the newest uber thing that makes my YT junk, even after Publish 24. Based on what has been said before (that capital ships are ready, they just don't know how to *release* them to us), I would not be surprised to see capital ships as *the new ship..one for each*...especially with the lack of a space sector. I just hope they don't screw them up.
