1) Lack of challenging PvE-content for solo-Aces
2) Lack of challenging PvE content for groups of Aces

1. Consistantly add content to space.
2. Continue adding all-faction ships.
3. Finding a shipwright on-line is difficult. Allow shipwrights to have droids that re-engineer at the SW skill level. This simple act would help pilots, shipwrights (who can then earn an income while they are not online), and droid engineers. (All service-based professions have this problem.)

1) lack of master and tier 4 content.

What is going to be done about exploited shields? We have pilots out there running around in a-wings with 20k mass shields 3800 front and back. Not just reward shields either, but other, lighter, shields that have been beefed up disproprtionately. Devs need to decide what the max shielding should be for each equipment level, and cap any shield that exceeds that down to that level. Maybe cap any shield that exceeds that down to that level -20% to -30% (cheaters shouldn't prosper). The only exception to this case should be shields that are exactly reward shield + 57.5%. These shields should be straight up deleted with no reimbursment.

Since no one truly knew if this was exploitative and unintended or not until the fix went in, you can't call everyone who has done it a cheater and demand they lose. I know exactly one pilot who has a shield like this, so if there are tons of them out there, I am meeting the wrong people. I doubt the existence of these shields is as damaging as you think, so let natural decay or player attrition take them out of the system.

Umm, excuse me? It's pretty freaking obvious that they "stealth fixed" it that it was an exploit. Do you honestly believe people were supposed to be rewarded for collecting 2 reward shields with shields that are dang near TWICE as good as what can be crafted? We're not talking about a small advantage here, we're talking about thier shields being able to be 50% better than the next most exceptional thing. I've NEVER looted a shield over 2500 much less over 3000, much less over 3500 and I have over 160mil pilot prestige. These shields were never meant to be, and if they imposed further % damage reductions on us for PvP, the owners of these shields would have an even larger advantage over those of us who chose to not cheat (yes I knew about this before they fixed it, my shields are 2555 just like they're supposed to be). Already the owners of these shields get an effective THIRTY THREE percent damage reduction on top of the existing reduction to the first shot. Yes, it's unfair, yes, they should have them taken away, and yes, there are more out there than you think.

Yup, it was really worth 1star. Don't get incensed, listen to what I'm saying.

People like us who know what loots are "supposed" to drop, and how droid commands are "supposed" to work can easily say that its a cheat. Someone who was in week3 of JtL and didn't know Droid commands weren't supposed to be permanent could easily have done this without thinking anything was wrong with it. In hindsight, yeah, its easy to say that was the right thing for devs to do, but if the Devs could have taken all the cheater's shields away at the same time, don't you think they would have? Knock them down to "max" but don't delete them wholesale, since its exactly the same as the -1 DOT fix a few weeks ago.

This wasn't an "accidental" thing. You had to get 2 reward shields, install one, go up, adjust forward, land, installthe other, go up, adjust rear, land, get 6 more shields, and get them all RE'd together. The exploit was obvious enough, to say "oops, I got a 3800 front/back shield is just like saying "oops I killed 21 bounty hunters, now I'll go accidentally kill them all over again 10 seconds later because the game lets me!" An exploit is an exploit.

I'm not saying it was accidental I'm saying it could have been done without the intent to cheat. The system was so buggy and information was so slow in coming, no one knew if the shield thing was by design or unintended. I'm not trying to protect any cheaterssince I reported this bug in beta and it made it into several months of Live before it got addressed. And for the record, youwouldn't need two reward shields. I have gotten level8 shields with 2430 front or back as perfectly legitimate drops.

The only reason we can say X shield is legitimate or not is that we watch thousands of pieces of loot every month, we're obsessive pilots and that's normal. But with JtL being the "new thing" there were and still are so many people out there who would have no clue what a legitmate or illegitimate item are. You're condemning people as cheaters based on your advanced knowledge and perfect hindsight. Saying that an earned reward should be taken form everyone who did this because some people did it with the knowledge and intent of breaking the game, isn't a valid proposition.

The two people out there that made the "honest mistake" are not enough grounds to keep game breaking gear in game. Thier shields are too powerful, by over 50% what they should be, they MUST be eliminated, or ALL shields must be raised another 50% so those of us who didn't cheat can compete

Speaking in absolutes and putting words in all caps doesnt really make what you say more correct. If your proposal is either deleting all those shields, or increasing everyone else's why isn't lowering them to the theoretical max acceptable to you?

Just out of morbid curiosity, how many verifiable duels have you lost to people with shields of this kind?

PS I'm beginning to feel like we've hijacked this thread, and for that I apologize. I just have an issue with blanket punishments for crimes that weren't criminal at the time.

PPS I haven't rated any posts in this thread, in the interest of keeping it civil.

1-More and better Master ships that are not rare and hard to build.

2-Weapons convergence

3-Driods should be able to repair ships and operate gun turrents in space.

4-Master missions that are part ground and part space.

5-Pilots should not have to go overt to earn fp.

6-Special master level loot with good stats but lower mass.

Why do I oppose reducing exploit shields to some arbitrary maximum? Well, simply put, because then cheaters are STILL prospering, unless the arbitrary maximum is, say for L8 shields, 2555, in which case it's not fair for people who DIDN'T cheat, but instead managed to get exceptional loot. Like I explained before, this wasn't an accidental thing, it was a deliberate abuse of the system to give themselves a 50% advantage over everybody else. Reducing that to say 2800 still says it's ok to cheat, just cheat a little less. That's not what we want to encourage. You ground thru pilot twice so you could make yourself a super set of 3800 shields? Super, too bad you exploited, now you lose both no refund. You say it wasn't a crime at the time? Was the first credit dupe a crime? Does it say "thou shalt not dupe credits" anywhere? No, but it doesn't need to. From the knowledge base, article 6397:

Question: How do I know if I'm exploiting or not?

Answer: Put in a Customer Service Ticket via your Holocron (ctrl-h) under the 'Community Standards' category. Describe exactly what you are doing and what benefit you are getting from your actions. Include details such as the name of the NPCs, planet, and x, y location if applicable. A CSR will get back to you shortly and will be able to tell you if the action is considered exploiting. You won't get in trouble for asking the question under reasonable circumstances.A Good General rule of thumb is: If you are doing something that gives you an uneven advantage over a MOB a player or the game system. You are most likely exploiting.Knowingly exploiting is a serious offense and can cause disciplinary action to be taken against your account up to and including banning.

Giving yourself a 50% shield advantage over the intent is obviosly giving yourself an uneven advantage over NPCs and other players. No matter how you try to justify, it's an exploit. Exploits are punishable up to and including banning, like it says above. Taking away exploited material, regardless of they exploited, or if they got it from someone else, is the least that should be done. Do you tell that guy that just blasted you with the 8x sliced T21 that's at 2000 damage and 1.0 speed it's ok, because he got it from somebody else and didn't know it was exploited? Is it ok for a multi sliced weapon to exist in the ground game, just because whoever owns it now didn't know it was exploited and paid a lot of money for it? I know what I think, what do you think?
