In Deep Space (the preferred playground of most PvPing Aces)where there's no decay, they will last forever--like my pre-nerf reward engines. If you saw the Shipwright forums, after the fix went in, it was pretty obvious that these things were infar greater production than most people realized.

Eaca,

If the option existed to revert them back to their components, would you agree to it?

Not really

  • I highly doubt the system keeps track of each item that goes into an RE

  • They cheated, why are you so against punishing people who cheated? Last I checked ignorance of the law wasn't a defense.

1. Can't resize the UI. Certain elements (such as grouping) cannot display all the text making it look tat, and provide no use. Also happens on the component screen.

2. Would love to be able to assign targets to certain hotkeys so I can quickly jump to important targets. (i.e. I can make the mission critical craft be target 1, it's escort targets 2-6 or something).

Oh, I've got another idea! Make level 10 cert components sell for 10k instead of 500 credits. I understand the reasoning behind the 500 credit idea, they wanted to spur the selling of the equipment to shipwrights. I don't think that is feasible anymore due to the severe jtl population drop. I want to sell mine for 10k! Especially since a lot of shipwrights won't buy them anymore because we want a reasonable price for them.

Giving yourself a 50% shield advantage over the intent is obviosly giving yourself an uneven advantage over NPCs and other players. No matter how you try to justify, it's an exploit. Exploits are punishable up to and including banning, like it says above. Taking away exploited material, regardless of they exploited, or if they got it from someone else, is the least that should be done. Do you tell that guy that just blasted you with the 8x sliced T21 that's at 2000 damage and 1.0 speed it's ok, because he got it from somebody else and didn't know it was exploited? Is it ok for a multi sliced weapon to exist in the ground game, just because whoever owns it now didn't know it was exploited and paid a lot of money for it? I know what I think, what do you think?

So going by your logic, we should go ahead and ban all combat medics and defense stackers who dominate in ground pvp, because they are clearly giving themselves an uneven advantage over other players?

To be honest, I don't really disagree with you, I do feel that something should be done, just not something as absolute as you suggest. Not everyone who has one of these shields is a DISGUSTING HEATHEN EXPLOITING CHEATER IF I WERE IN CHARGE I WOULD FLAY THE SKIN FROM THEIR BODIES WITH A POTATO PEELER AS PAYBACK FOR THEIR INSOLENCE!!! kind of person. Just like psikobunny said, not everyone who plays this game knows the drops and the ranges like some of us do. Some people really do just think "hey, I got a good shield!"

I think it's far more complicated than a bug or exploit typically is because, at the time, it was possible for anyone to do it within the parameter set by the system. There required no skill, just the realization that Shield Programs stuck. The fact that a pilot or SW learned this led to the small jump in reasoning that the shields could be Reverse Engineered that way. There was no guide for sale on Ebay about 'how to abuse the system.' There was nothing stopping anyone doing the same, so there was no obvious intention to game the system or take an advantage unavailable to other players. It did not become an non-reproduceable advantage until the fix came in. For many pilots and SWs it was not a concern until then, as there was no obvious signal that the system did not mean to allow what was being allowed.

To outright punish those players, as you are so intent, seems unreasonable ifthereis asolution available to correct the imbalace that was caused by the game system. Comparing it to a credit dupe is a bit much for me.

Ah, well. Just my opinion.

Monsofo, I am impressed so far. Keep up the good work -just make sure you aren't going to burn yourself out.

Been publicly stated that this will be adressed in the CURB (just to throw some hot coals on the fire)

Just like psikobunny said, not everyone who plays this game knows the drops and the ranges like some of us do. Some people really do just think "hey, I got a good shield!"

And true enough to get a QFE from me. But I would bet that in 90% of the cases the other side of that argument hold true

And also want to ask if wecan all stop beating that wet limp noodle to death? I for one am hungry for some pasta. Y'all get +100 points for thread hijacking, but I think its about time we let it rest in this thread. Feel free to start another about it, if you still have some more points to make on the "Exploited?!" shields issue...

IMPORTANT ... Fix it so Neutrals really go back to neutral after going to Deep Space.

I went to deep space, I no longer get the option to go as a Rebel. When I come back, I am unable to attack Imperials...but they still attack me (but don't cause damage).

This needs to get fixed, let Neutrals BE NEUTRAL

Is this in Kessel? Or everywhere.

1 Master level content. And prestige point uselessness.

2 Multiplayer ship defenslesness. I can either fly OR fight. Also see #3

3 Components are totaly borked. You can't craft better than loot. and the loot is totaly messed up. Lvl10 should be better than 3, cant describe how mant times this is not true.
