Thread: Petition To Use Pilot Prestige In The Force Sensitive Village.
Screw conversion - even a 10000:1 ratio would open the door and make you advocates even more bold.

And this is EXACTLY why it shouldn't be converted to FS xp. Do you want to turn DS into the equivalent of grenade grinding baz nitches?
Not to mention that the ISDand Freedom Station should be far from soloable.

They say its open to all players, not just uber-leet ground pwn3rz, why cant we, peopledo we,play as pilots, get the shaft?
Because the village is open to you, via your choice of a ground profession, you have the same 250 points to spend just like everyone else. Piloting is a metaprofession for a starfaring society, not a pure avocation (in the terms of this game). You're not being "shafted" you're just making a choice on how to spend your time, and it's a choice that heads somewhere other than the FS village. Let the Devs get to that other place, stop forcing them to derail the train and make a sidetrack to Aurilla.

NO!
Some of us fly to get away from the Jedi nonsense on the ground, the last thing space needs is a million semi-afk pilots grinding away. Not to mention, both space XP and prestige are way too easy to get.
I can assure you, there are no AFK macro pilots. However there are plenty of empty turret seats and POBs out there...

pizowned.
I want a use for prestige. FS would be nice, but I'd much rather have other (more space directed) uses. BUT when you put it this way, I'm all for it suddenly. Why, lots and lots of easy targets. That'd be the closest to the Jedi vs BH conflict I'll ever get probably, hunting Jedi-wanna-be's in space.

i can see both arguements for space conversion to FS..but i had another thought for prestige points than may/maynot have been discussed here before.im sure most people will probably hate this idea/me for suggesting this but here goes. what about using prestige to buy certifications for other ships not in your faction, and having the prestige point cost be fairly high, especially for the higher ranked ships. im a freelancer but i think it would be cool to run a TIE Oppressor sometimes so allow me to cash in XX amount Million(s) of prestige to buy a certification for one and so on. i also like the idea of buying factional parts/schematics that was discussed in an above post.

Nice idea. Anyone else wonder where Han and Chewbacca learned to fly a Lambda? Even better would be to use Prestige to buy temporary schematics for better components from trainers that were better than average craftables. Maybe even the ability to spend prestige to buy kits which can counter or alleviate decay.

fyi, you can't load kill anyone anymore. the second you load in the zone you have about 5 seconds of forced nuetrality. you can't shoot players, they can't shoot you. yeah 5 seconds isn't alot of time if someone is up in your grill, but i garuntee they will feel really lame if you pull on top of them and waste them as they were trying to cheat.especially after you /report them for it as well.
ymmv depending on loading speed i suppose, but i count 5 seconds on my woefully inadequate machine.
the rest of it is valid though, you convert space to fs xp and next thing you know jedi are clamoring for space bonuses. we really don't want to go there.
TarkanArrant wrote:For the people who say no, especialy for the one that said about the AFK macro you surely must be a new pilot, becuase YOU CAN"T AFK GRIND IN SPACE....well glad that is off now, but anyways for the people saying no, are you A. A Jedi, B. Hate doing the pilot proffession, or of course C. Don't like PvP in space, either way I am tired of my 7 million prestige points that are sitting there for nothing, so please for the ones that say no, do tell, instead of no, support your answer instead of saying, people will go into space, what is wrong with that? I would be very happy to see players in space, except for Kashhyyk space, and for the people that mine and start looting I was happy when someone got angry at me for attacking one of his ships, just because there are people finaly going and interacting with space. I don't realy care about FS realy going with space, but what other use is there for Pilot Prestige then, the ship ideas and support are good ideas, and I am hoping if the whole "capitol ship rumor" will allow us to use them or only let certain pilots go up, I don't like to the fact that some new player can go to the avatar platform with a Yacht and not even get agroed. Or atleast allow rare ships you can get after mastering, using the pilot prestige to get higher class ships.
actually you can. you climb in the back of someone's MP ship and put a looping macro on. sit back and get XP as he grinds for whatever he likes.

Han was trained at one of the Imperial academies. It is quite likely that when Vader refered to him as "Captain Solo" in ESB, it was in recognition of his former rank within the Empire.
