Always glad to help!

Worst thing is I actually managed to raise the level of the thread, hehe!

See my reply in the other thread. I follow it up with:

It's 10 AM. No one is awake yet. Thus, we've got about 5 people posting here, and only a couple more threads than that to post in. Given the limited options, I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of each other.

Ok for the OP lets analyse what the jedi could do with the force in space in the films and EU:

They had enhanced reflexes.

Anything else they could do? They couldn't heal there ship (look in NJO for perfect examples of this, Kyp, one of the most powerful jedi couldn't do squat when his ship was wrecked) they couldn't shot lightning or force choke, they couldn't enhance their ships. As far as i have ever seen in legitmate sources, the only thing that jedi could do in space was have better reflexes, so they could fly better.

But the question is, how on earth do you replicate that ingame? Simple answer, you can't.

What argument is there then? The only skill that helped jedi in flight can't be repliacted ingame.

Oh, oh, I got it! The Jedi's enhanced reflexes came from being able to predict where their enemies were, and where they were going. So in space, if someone is a jedi, we can put a nice big red box around the enemy ships so they can see them from thousands of meters out. And then we can give them a little green lead indicator, to simulate that they know where the enemy is going!

Hell, maybe if they are master defender or something we can even have the game beep at them when other players come into range!

simply put, the above is correct.

SOE has made it a case, and point to vastly distinguish and keep separate JTL and Jedi. there is no such thing, and never ever will be, the ability to turn in space exp for FS exp.

as for space, its all stated above. reflexes. and those cannot, and i repeat, cannot be replicated ingame. you either can fly, or you cant. i like how JTL somewhat resembles a FSP game. you actually need skill to kill...no macroing an attack and waiting for your opponent to die.

If it keeps going, it can serve as a good thread to link to the next time one of these idiots comes in here asking for Jedi powers in space.

What we're beating now doesn't resemble a dead horse anymore, it's more like we're beating a tenderized, creamy-whipped horse paste.

That's gross.

I just thought about how cool it would be to hunt jedi in space as a BH.I've killed Manna on the ground several times, but to do it in space.....SWEET.

I gotta say, I am in the same guild as Manna, I was there a long time before he got in.....But if there was a 3rd dimension to the force, the Pompous Side of the force, if you will..

Manna would be the Pompous Lord of that side of the force.

That's why I have no problem hunting him. I've told him many times that whenever I see his mark, I'm going after him. His obvious response was "Bring it on."

He honestly thinks that if all the jedi stopped playing SWG, the game would die in mere weeks.
