sonofkashyyyk is coincidentally in the same guild as manna-seth.

anyway i think tka pilots should be able to meditate in space and increase their shield and armor strength. swordsmen should be able to use head hit in space and insta kill anything, same with riflemen. I think root should work in space too cuz a nylon snare thrown by the pilot from an open canopy travelling at high speed, should be able to stop a target starfighter instantly. i think bounty hunters should be able to equip their ships with mandalorian armour too since they can wear it.

I don't see any problems with letting Jedi's have force powers in space and I think the OP is right that if it's been in the films then it should be in the game. Let's look at the examples shall we:

Episode 1 - Obi-Wan and Qui-Gonn inthe queen's ship (POB?) - pwned by a Trade Federation ship.

Episode 2 - Obi-Wan in his JSF - pwned by Jango Fett in Slave 1

Episode 3 - Anakin in his JSF - pwned by little robots or something - I just remember his ship being disabled but found it hard to be interested or care at the time. Then that jedi master (?) got pwned by clones.

Episode 4 - Darth Vader in his TIE/Adv - pwned by Han Solo in the Falcon (and let's not forget that Luke nearly got shot down by a TIE pilot)

Episode 5 - Luke in his snowspeeder - pwned by an AT-AT.

Episode 6 - Jedi had given up flying because they'd obviously come to the realisation that their powers meant squat in space.

Indeed, Jedi are just gifted individuals that were good at investigating, and defending themselves with their lightsabre and/or with the force if threatened. I don't know where people got the idea that Jedi are supposed to bedemi-gods that can kill any and everything on a whim. Even Jedi can be taken by surprise, as you can see in the movies and in the EU.

Hi all, I am new to the pilot profession and am wanting to build my skills, but I find it frustrating that I can't use my jedi skills in space. I have come to depend on these skills on the ground and have worked very hard to EARN them, so the likely transition of using those said skills in space seems only fair. Stuff like force heal, AI would be a great advantage and something that would be a well deserved ability for the work I have already put into my skills.

No you shouldnt be allowed to use your jedi skills in space.

Wedge Antilles wasnt a jedi, Tycho Celchu wasnt a jedi, Jek Porkins wasnt a jedi, Wes Janson wasnt a jedi, Hobbie Klivian wasnt a jedi, Lt. Ketch wasnt a jedi (yub yub).

Im a Jedi and i say NO!

However I do thing BHs should be allowed to hunt jedi in space! As either jedi or BH I say "Bring it on!"

HOWEVER, Smugglers should be allowed to slice starship components and Rangers should have an increased loot rate when in space!

Go back to the jedi board and whine there little jebay child!

"from a ranger"

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not anymore mate!

Now, I am Jedi, the circle is now complete!

After hunting Jedi on Kash (BH/Ranger can be VERY useful) I became a jedi. Once I was the master now I am the learner.

Never ever should Jedi have any capability that increases their skill in space.

MANNA says the canon shows that Jedi have skills in space. He is right, the films and books all show that the universes BEST pilots are not even FS. So, I agree with MANNA, give Jedi the skills the canon shows they have in space. These skills are -

Force Hibernate, for those extra long hyperspace jumps,

and, um, well, thats it!

What I find interesting is that in 11 pages of posts (so far) on this thread I can see about 3 or 4 posts of people who have agreed with the OP and hundreds of posts that disagree. Yet the OP is STILL insisting that it happen, the masses have spoken, it's not going to happen..get over it and admit defeat.

Ok for the OP lets analyse what the jedi could do with the force in space in the films and EU:

They had enhanced reflexes.

Anything else they could do? They couldn't heal there ship (look in NJO for perfect examples of this, Kyp, one of the most powerful jedi couldn't do squat when his ship was wrecked) they couldn't shot lightning or force choke, they couldn't enhance their ships. As far as i have ever seen in legitmate sources, the only thing that jedi could do in space was have better reflexes, so they could fly better.

But the question is, how on earth do you replicate that ingame? Simple answer, you can't.

What argument is there then? The only skill that helped jedi in flight can't be repliacted ingame.

You know if you spoke to non forumites where i come from they would think "1star bandit" was an interesting euphimism for certain adult proclivities!

But then we do have a strange sense of humour on Tatooine!
