Hey, so i just finished the advanced x-wing mission for the first time. i got blown out of the sky after the corvette jumped but not before i had started to talk to the outpost to get my reward, i didnt get to hit "thank you" or something but it did say in my spatial dialog that i got the badge, deed for the adv xwing and some credits. now i go to generate the the ship through the deed in my inventory and it says i dont have the badge to use this ship.... it says under my charater section that i do... what happen?
i went back to the outpost to see if i could finish the conversation but my only options are to take more missions or declare...
can anyone help?
You must have the "...has 5 badges" badge to use the Advanced X-wing, Vaksai, or RGI.
"Some long-term pilots may remember it; maybe you saw it a few months ago, maybe you remember it from launch, maybe it happened yesterday on some server for all I know, but personally it's something I've seen only for 1 or 2 days(a few months ago) since November(added: A time at which it happened FREQUENTLY).
The Kessel Spawn Switch.
You'd know it if you saw it:
- Spawns going completely insane, LOADS and LOADS of fighters to kill
- Black Suns in the blue nebula at the center of the sector, rather than Corsairs
- Rebel Gunboats circling all but 1 of the static spawn sights instead of Imperial Gunships(the brown corner nebula being the exception, always a gunship)
Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?Was/Is this supposed to happen frequently? Is it triggered by something? Is it completely random? Is it supposed to be this way 50% of the time, alternating once in a while? Is there ANY information on this at all?
I don't claim I know how it works(obviously I'm not all that sure), the closest I can figure is that I once did something different, right before it happened for a short timea few months ago: I concentrated on killing Imperial Fighters Only(Usually, I just kill everything in sight). I tried to replicate the result, but it never happened again while I was up there.
Personally, I LOVE when this happens, and I'd REALLY like to know why it hasn't for so long(at least on Eclipse, when I'm there)."
I'm still VERY interested in this, and would like to get some confirmation on what the deal is on why it's not happening anymore.

Why are some of these so long? I mean any mission that is >1hr should have breaking points where you can "pause" after a goal is met and comeback another time. I look at the clock... see I have 2 hours to get some game time in and play... I start a mission... look at the clock again, it's been 1:50 since I started... and I'm clearly no where near the end. This is flippin rediculous.
Now I have to repeat it again... but I think I may just stop playing space, because my abilities as a pilot should not have squat to do with my schedule.
Fix it now SOE. Just fix it.

All right, time to recompile this thing.
With bugs, list any and all of them, no matter how old or neglected they may be. Try to be as detailed as you can. With issues, go ahead with anything; if there have been any good threads on them you can dig up, providing links would be most cool.
Thanks everyone.
Would it be possible for the first message to be editted Tomo to include the bugs/issues?
The most important ones to me are:
- Fixing any broken quests (i.e. Y-8) where the bug prevents the player from completing it.
- Balancing PvP with a dmg reduction modifier.
- Balance pass of ships.
- Since SOE has included JTL and RoTW with Starwars Galaxies: The Total Experience there can be a strong argument that space and ground should no longer be separated on some issues. Quests on RoTW support this also. Issues:
- Chat tabs - Would be nice to continue the conversation I had on the ground and not look at the last one I had up in space 2 weeks ago.
- Faction: Declaring faction in space should only be necessary to PvP not gain faction points. This should be automatic. I haven't done any faction farming in space but faction should be relative to teir of ship destroyed and ship type.
- Allow guild wars to be in effect in space as well as ground.
- I can't believe I'm saying this but allow BH to hunt jedi in space (Balance pass and PvP balance must be done prior to this in case the brainiacs a SOE didn't figure this out.)
- Players should see the modified stats or the modifier applied by droid commands in the 'v'eiw screen of the ships information. This works properly for cap. overcharge for stats on the left of screen but not in the lower right when veiwing the component. For engine overload the modifier does not update in the window if you are already viewing the engine, you need to switch to another component and back. A;so not sure if the modifier is for reactor drain or the increase in speed. Both should be listed. PREFERABLY the stats modified with the new values for both speed and reactor drain. Same issue with wep overcharge as engine OC.
Every division leader at SOE should be bashed in the head 1000x and have the following things implanted in their brains:
- Fix the MAJOR bugs before adding content.
- PvP and PvE are two different animals don't treat them as one and think one system will work good for both.
God please grant my wish and give me millions of dollars so I can buy SWG from SOE and fix the game.

GENERAL SPACEFLIGHT BUG
Not quite sure how to explain this one...it happened to me the first time last night, but it has happened to my spouse on our other account as well, I guess about a week ago. Bothaccounts on Lowca server. I fly a beginner Z, she flies an X-wing.
Finished a mission and set course back to the Correlian Neutral Space Station.I wascruising along, rubber-banding occassionally (as many others have reported doing...where your engine speed drops to zero and then comes back up), suddenly my cockpit snapped off. That's the only way I can describe it....it's like the entire artwork layer for the cockpit (think photoshop "layer") disconnected and moved forward a little bit, so I could see the space background around the sides. Then, if I tried to steer, it moved this cockpit graphics layer around as if the ship were moving, but my line of sight did not change, so I ended up looking at the floor of my ship....my line of sight was still focused on the station, but the cockpit graphics had shifted in the direction I was trying to turn the ship. I was able to move it back so that I could see where I was going and eventually landed on Correllia, but that would be a quick way to die in a dogfight. I'm kinda scared to launch again, and I'm not quite sure I explained it well enough. My only guess is that this is somehow connected to the twenty-million other LOS bugs out there, if they're using the same code in space.
When it happened on the other account, it was after a couple hours of dogfighting...it eventually locked up in that position, staring at the floor. The mouse courser (the little golden arrow) would move, but nothing would respond, not the top buttons, not the chat window, alt wouldn't change the cursor, nothing. We had to cntl-alt-del and bring up the Taskmanager to end the program.
Haven't tried flying again on either account.
So, has anyone else had something similar happen??
Oh another issue that makes no sense to me. As you approach large objects (Corvettes, Star Destroyer, Space Stations) my framerate falls through the floor. Interesting since there are (or should be) less polygons to render my framerate should actually go up.
