Y-8. As a mining ship, this should be the premier ship to mine with. As it is now, this ship is allmost completly useless in the mining department.
POB Ships have dark tinted windows that make it IMPOSSIBLE to see out of in 1st person view. You can see however in 3rd person view. This affects:
Y-8 Mining Vessels, Decimators, Novas and YT-1300s
The outside space is black, however you can see blue boxes moving around and thats it. Bugged in-game, and is only happening with POB ships. Is annoying and has not stopped me from space mining, but it will severly hinder any decimator flying I do. Please pass this on for a fix Tomo. Greatly appreciated.

yea all pob windows are borked with transparancy
several of the autopilot waypoints in different systems are completely off
the blacksun duty mission out of theed for some reason the waypoint doesnt' show up.
those are the three that i've really noticed at this time.

My Decimator is 100% fine. No bug there whatsoever.
Pvp fights in space should last a lot longer, around more or less as it takes to kill an npc (or just like in the X-Wing titles). This way it's just boom, you're dead because I shot first and then it's over.
Thus pvp damage in space has to be tweaked, it's just too powerful right now.

A few things about this. Firstly, go watch the movies. Do ships take 19 shots to explode? No, they dont. As for being killed in 1 shot. I think you may find that it's your kit at fault and maybe the way you fly. It takes a decent ship with high level weapons 3-4 direct hits to kill me. You will find many a post on these boards about fights lasting 5-10 mins, even longer, where people have shunted shileds, hit shields, ridden missiles etc. These are all excellent pilots, who know how to attack, and evade blasters and missiles. So please, don't come here saying pvp damage os broken, when it clear;y isn't. Otherwise, they would have changed it a long time ago.
You must be new, SOE doesn't work that way. We all wish it did instead they bring in new content with more bugs.
You have an excellent point and I do agree that ability should play a large factor in one surviving a dogfight, but I completely believe that PvP is totally unbalanced. Here's a great example (of how overpowered weapons are) which is what happened to me. I'm at a complete stop watching the fireworks as ppl take on the star destroyer in Deep Space and chatting with some friends after taking on a few waves of 8-10 teir 5s. BAM!!! 1 hit front shields/armor (>2k protection) gone, some systems damaged; 2nd shot destroyed. I go back to Deep Space and encounter this dude again, this time expecting an attack. As I don't have one, I'm assuming a JSF has 1 weapon slot as it's a small ship but that's what destroyed me. Blink your eyes twice and that's how long I lasted while Iwas standing still. Now please look at the difference here: 8-10 teir 5s in one hand = maybe a nick in my armor, PvP = death < 5 seconds.
Another example of overpowered weaps are the people who solo the corvette and stardestroyer. I have 3 lvl 8 weapons in my hvy-x, with cap overcharge 2 I can fire all day long with no worries about running out of energy. My maximum damage should be around 8000 a hit (of course the armor/shield modifier needs to be applied mine being about .63) so 5040 a hit. I can solo a teir 5 gunboat at my current ability. Keyword is ability but just look at those numbers.... I can't use weapon overcharge yet without drawing too much power so thats my craft's base dmg output. In theory one direct hit should blow up any player.
Taking wave upon wave of teir 5's for me is "classic video game style:" against all odds come out on top victorious. Against 10 teir 5's IMHO just about any player should die in a balanced game. That should be an incredible story to tell but unfort it is not. PvP on the other hand is beyond realistic. Would be nice if missles in 1 hit could destroy mediocre euipped starfighters, 2 hits well equipped starfighters, mediocre POB, 3 hits well equipped POB. Something reasonable not 1 hit regardless of what you have, is instant death. If two ships decided to jump me in Deep Space and shove two missles up my tailpipe I should die in the blink of an eye, but not by 2 laser blasts by 1 ship.
Someone said it earlier in the post. Environment = strong defense, weak offense, Player = strong offense, weak defense. Hence PvE takes sometime and you can handle an obscene amount of ships and PvP takes 10 seconds against 1 ship.
If you say it is all ability then SOE should increase the AI of NPCs to make everyone a better pilot then get completely massacred at PvP but own PvE.
I'mfar from new, having played the game since November 2003 when Chimaera went live. I do hear what you are saying regards the PvE damage etc.
I personally think that the level of damage in PvP allows for a more exciting fight. Knowing you could be taken in 1 decent shot means that you have to work harder to stay alive, and when you do, it's even more of a rush.
Maybe I'm an adrenaline junkie, but I like how hard PvP can be. Though the new POBs give you a huge cushion to soak up any damage that comes your way.

noticed several bugs earlier, some I've not seen mentioned in a while. The third missile slot on ships with three is not being shown on the HUD.
I dont know if this is just my video card, and the video card of a few friends. but several of the blasters fireing effects cause a large blast effect when fired that blinds almost the entire screen when in either cockpit view or in first person view in a turret. Also some fireing effects seem to be like lighting and cause a fair amount of lag, if in a fight or for a gunner on a pob. On the pob atleast the pilot and op's dont appear to suffer lag when the "lag guns" are fireing. Seems to be somewhat related to the crazy lightning effects in half of the sectors....yeah I remember seeing space lightning in the movies and nebula's all around naboo, tatooineand endor also in the movies....
