Yeah, that too. I even tried my Y-wing after you logged, and it wouldn't work either. So it's not the X-wing at least, but it's hard telling what it is. Not really in the mood to try it again today, maybe tomorrow.


I know this is a complicated game and all... but sheesh, bugs are just plain out of control. They really need to quit rushing everything to live so quickly and fix the bugs first.


EDIT: Fixed with a reboot of all things. Mine, not the server.

Just completed the Advanced x wing mission, got the deed and badge but carnt generate it as I get a system message saying that I dont have the badge to fly it sorted



Allso fix the Y-8 quest so i can finish that 1 aswell

When I go to load components in my ships, I see all components in my inventory and also those on the floor of my packed Sorosub.

When I try to load a component in my sorosub, it says object innaccessible. This happens on both Shadowfire and ahazi. I have also had components appear to load (such as armor) then get into space and have no armor on half my ship.


Finally, I find only certain guns work in my agressor. I have to cycle (trial and error)through different looted guns so that I can shoot out the front and my tailgunner can use the turret. Have also had programmed chips load as null programs.

The component part is correct, you cannot use components that are stored on a ship, never have been able to (error message along lines of "Cannot Manipulate") However, I personally think they shouldn't show up on Ship Management Screen if they're inaccesable. That happens on all servers.

The armor problem might be down to the above, if you attempt to put a piece of armor on ship thats not actually in inventory it may remove current part?

I have a strong feeling that turrets in general on smaller ships (not POB) are bugged. The Kryat top turret shows 2 guns to the pilot, one static and one that turns. The gunner sees 2 shots, one forward and one he's actually shooting. Forward shot isn't seen by the pilot. The ARC turrets seem to be bugged (please confirm this) a gunner told me he could only turn it around 3/4 of the way round and its resting point is facing forward towards the right wing (sounds to me like the position of the turret needs to be rotated 45 degrees)

  • For no good reason, my engine sometimes sets itself to 0 speed and revs up again. Horribly frustrating when you're in combat.

  • The ship's targetting and shooting "stutter" - and it isn't lag, because the rest of the image is fine. It goes something like this: shot, shot, targeing recticle snags for a split second and no shot, shot, shot.... makes keeping aim on targets impossible and wastes firepower.



The reason that only astromech droids should be able to enhance ships... Think of a protocol droid:
"Oh, we're doomed!"
"I can't say how much I hate space travel!"
"The odds of surviving a direct assault on an Imperial Star Destroyer..."
"This is all your fault!"
"But sir!"

Something else iv noticed is some of the weapons on my ships shoot down instead of in front of you as they should. This is anoying due to having to swap weapons and reload programs again just to shoot down a few ships.

I started Storm Squadron after having mastered the other two Imperial squadrons. I ended up at tier 1111, while I was still in the middle of the Secrets of the Syren quest. I was running both the Rebel and Imperial quest simulatneously (after all the work I did on parts 1 and 2 to do Reb, Imp, and neutral at the same time, they decide to pull neutral out entirely). To continue with the Rebel segment I had to drop Imperial pilot to go Reb. I got up to the point of needing to go back in space, so I went back to Storm Squadron to start over again.


Here's where the bug starts. I dropped SS while I was 1111, and I was ready to be sent to the next officer for missions, I even have the Authorization of Transfer in my inventory. When I went back to Akal Colzet, he greets me and offers me missions or training. He does not offer me the option of joining the Imperial Navy. I talked to Commander Oberhaur and he just says, "I can't help you." If I talk to the Pilot Coordinator he just sends me to one of the initial trainers for each squadron. I can join one of the other squadrons, but when I go back to Colzet or Oberhaur they just tell me, "Only your squadron commander can assign you missions." I've tried joining then dropping the other squadrons, resigning from the Empire then joining again. Nothing seems to reset this. I really want to do Storm Squadron, both for the badge and the challenge, but they are not letting me join. Should I even waste my time on a ticket?

i believe we need a few more targeting functions. i would like to be able to have a wingman / friend targeting direction arrow thingy along with the current targeting lock. this would aid me in finding the friend i am trying to help with missions and make sure he stays alive. additionally it would be nice if when we were doing missions like escorts that we had a target arrow for them as well. i hate trying to find my escort duty after a furball. "which way did he go?, which way did he go?"


also if the arrows would grow and shrink as they are closer or further away from us we could have some idea as to whether the target the arrow is pointing to is closer to our butts or further away. it would be nice to know if my booster is having any effect in loosing that chaser or if i should just kill all forward thrust.


and on that note... why dont we have a skill for emergency reverse thrust? i know this isnt battlestar galactica online, but still you think that these ships would have a reverse thrust for things like docking. why not make it a skill for pilot trees?


so its not just me? i thought my YT1300 torquing out to the left after a booster use was a natural thing. also, why cant we use 2 boosters in the bigger ships? and can we get the ability to load more missles on the admin panel or in the operations chair?


the thing where stuff stored in your POB ships showing up on the management console is really annoying, please fix.


and last, can we get some unique ships that have never been seen before in any previous game, book or movie? it would be nice if this game could add some originality once and a while and a new ship not based on anything previous would be cool.

So much for a Smuggler revamp, maybe they should just rename us, it would take less time and be easy to do.
"Useless" would be my first choice as a name suggestion.


of course at this point there is no reason to revamp anything. SOE should just shut the game off.

Smuggler's Alliance should be the true neutral space group. Garm Bel Iblis is well established as a member of the Alliance, and Corellia's neutrality is more technicality than practice, truly. Jabba and any crime figure is truly neutral as money rules over passion for success in the underworld, and the Empire is always going to have more money. Anyone that thinks Jabba or any other crime group has real ties to the Rebellion is wrong.

This thread is so long I'm not sure if this has been reported yet. I may have missed it.


In my case itinvolves the Vaksai. The bug is reproducable and only seems to affect this ship. Here are the steps to produce the bug:


The ship is running a reactor putting 134000 Components are using 11000 energy.


1. Undeed ship. Load components; Launch.


2. Run in order: RO4, WO3, EO4, CO3. Test weapons; everything works


3. Land. Unload reactor. Reload same or different reactor (with similar gen rate)

4. Launch and repeat step 2. Upon starting EO4, ship now has insufficient energy and caps (always caps) are disabled.

5. Do full repair at station. Caps STILL disabled due to insufficient energy even though overloads have been disengaged and all components are fully repaired. Changing components has no effect. Placed components in a different ship; works as expected.


The fix:


Unload and redeed ship. Wait for server reboot.

Undeed and reload ship. Launch. Do step 2. Everything works as expected.

As long as you don't change anything the problem doesn't occur. The other alternative is to use a reactor with sufficient gen to run EO4 without WO3. But if you do, you find that WO3 does not work at all. And yes, I know that WO3 is broke, but in this case it is not even working "as intended".


Is this unique to my ship? I've done the whole full scan thing along with trying different configurations. It has taken me over a week to test this because I have to wait for a server reboot after each test.


I have /bugged it. I haven't contacted a CSR yet because they don't seem all that familiar with the space game and I don't want end up flying through space on my bolotaur or something if they try to fix it without understanding the problem.

Hey, so i just finished the advanced x-wing mission for the first time. i got blown out of the sky after the corvette jumped but not before i had started to talk to the outpost to get my reward, i didnt get to hit "thank you" or something but it did say in my spatial dialog that i got the badge, deed for the adv xwing and some credits. now i go to generate the the ship through the deed in my inventory and it says i dont have the badge to use this ship.... it says under my charater section that i do... what happen?
i went back to the outpost to see if i could finish the conversation but my only options are to take more missions or declare...

can anyone help?
