Thread: Question to Master Pilots

I just became a 4/3/3/3 Pilot and I was flying the Rori Space Duty Missions from Rori Space station and I made almost 200k from the missions and parts I sold in 45 minutes. Yes the ground game might be more profitable but think about the time you waste on getting buffs (15k stand in like for 5 - 10 min depending on given time) , Armor (200k - 300k depending on stats), Food (Brandy / Canape 200k for stack and looking for it if not easy 15 min.)and finding sologroup then running to missions. Lets see 300k + 15k + 200k = 515k plus the time to do it all. I could have flown 5 - 6 Duty missions in this time and looted parts and money without doing my Macro Lootall plus the fact that I wasting my time running back and forth to the mission terminal.

Let me just say space is easier and quicker. Plus we have mining coming soon!

I end up destroying ground loot b/c I don't have my own vendor and max out my bazaar limit constantly. Space loot (and space resources) will both have places for us to off-load for cash. I like it! Sure, I'd rather sell to a player, but if no one wants it I can still getcash for my efforts.

You do know you can sell space loot to the chassis dealers, right? They pay 1k per level, except level 10s, which are glitched and only give you 500 credits.

I think that was the point of their post actually. They have to destroy loot from the ground game because they don't have enough room, but the space game gives them the chassis dealer outlet to sell off excess if they can't find a real person buyer.

Yeah, I had to read that post twice before I realized he was talking about ground loot.

Thanks! I didn't know you could sell loot like that. I made 90k off loot alone! =D

They all forgot to add, that if you declare overt status, then go run duty missions to kill opposing faction craft, you get hella faction points too. It is by far the fastest way to earn faction.

So, in summary of this thread...pilots have it made. Thank you all, and good night.

Space loot financed all my flying, inc. chassis purchases. If you are really lucky, you can get ahold of a SW who will buy your parts for greater than chassis dealer price.

The Pilot grind produces lots of loot to equip your ship with, what ever is left over, trade it in for cash atthe dealer. But keep an eye out for equipment that you can use to equip ships you may be purchasing down the road or for reverse engineering.

Once you hit master, the ultimate loot farming set up is an mp ship, load her up and camp spawns. And make sure you give your gunners a slice of the loot cash you earn, to keep the good ones coming back.

Thats too true. I split my loot/looted credits with my gunners and co-pilots (when I can get a hold of some). They appreciate it and dont forget it.

Most of my credits come from piloting also. I go over all the components I picked up, save what I can use, and sell the rest to the chassis dealer except weapons. Those I sell for 5k per level on my vendor. All level 10 stuff goes up for 15k too. Although I dont get to play much anymore, I can make between 200k and 300k on a Black Sun duty mission.

Until you hit master pilot you might loose some money though as new chassis can be expensive, depending on the server of course.
After you hit master though you have a solid cash flow though as you don't need that great equipment to get some cash and you will be able to improve your ship along the way too... you literally have almost no expenses

I haven't yet tried it with imperial but a Rebel or Privateer pilot can start doing the Yavin 4 space station missions at 2322 without much trouble. Though you may want a wingman for the quest you have to do. Yavin 4 is probably the best payout vs difficulty in the game. Easy kills.

Heh, anybody remember when destroying the Star Destroyer and Rebel Station could give you credit chips in upwards of a million? Now that was quite profitable... and somewhat disappointing now. Why, I bet with a tractor beam I could scoop up enough floating Stormtrooper helmets from that wreck to make a killing if the Empire didn't hyper in another disposable SD so quick

Space is quite profitable, and a great place to retreat to when the ground game gets ya down. Great place to grind faction too while you're overt, though watch out for other overt players, despite how rare they are. I'm not a fan of PvP in space myself, not because you die in two shots or one missile, but because it's drastically different then PvE. Maybe that'll change, though...

Yes, we do have it made. Piloting is where the money's at if you have the skill to go up there and get it.
