Ahhh - you want a challenge, but not THAT kind of challenge?

Not belittling your kill though man - you picked a good technique and used it well. But the corvette can be taken without bombstrike - hell, a lot of people have managed to solo it. I just meant if you wanted to know what all the fuss was about, try again and pretend you're doing it as a neutral pilot.

(Though, when I managed to miss the blindspot and was about to get obliterated, I *did* use IFF scramble.

Actually if you want to know what all the fuss is about do a rebel squadron or SA and have a go at the other vette.

I did it, stop your arguement right there. The Imperial Corvette is no more difficult than the Rebel one. Get over yourself. I did this as a 4-4-4-4 SA pilot on a friend's account. Got a cool mil out of it as well. It's very much the same as downing the Rebel Vette without Bomber Strike, you're just taking out the good guys instead.

Um...ur the one that came in herebragging about how easy the corvette is, when:

1. Yougrouped to do it...in aTier 5 ship lol
2. You BOTH used bomberstrike on it...bstrike 3 and 2 lmao
3. You had NPC help...roflmao

The AI fighter screen is a joke to begin with, and the gunboats are on rails, that pretty much makes them sitting ducks, even if you don't use blindspots andjust stick to highspeed passes, they are cake to take out by shooting while zipping through turbolaser fires from all 3 ships, blow up their engines and they're dead.

So the only thing fun to do, was the corvette itself.

If you really want to have some fun, try doing it guns only with strafing runs. It has nothing to do with whether or not its "smart", its all about setting up a challenge and having fun.

The neutrals had that E.M.P. thing that was to powerful. They nerfed that. Maybe they'll nerf the bomber strike to something like the neutrals Pirate Trap......

Yeah, the EMP is worthless as it is now.

Na the Star Destroyer is solable also, no challenge there.

Maybe if I tried it in my Syck but apart from that the SD is not that hard to take out, I have even taken it out gun by gun before just for the fun of it

When I got my badge, kessel was PvP. Imagine, the only thing more annoying then the escorts were the one-shotting y-wing pilots who were griefing the players as they hypered into the sector.

Imps do it too. I was the first master freelance pilot on Tarquinas. After we were done we were all talking about how cool it was and a tie fighter swooped in and killed 4(er 45 was a bit too many, darn my keyboard)of us in a single pass. Aship blew up each time his guns cycled. It was great. We also found out later he was invivible as well as we saw him park behind the vette and take all the turrets while his buddy surgically destroyed it without being shot at.

They're both soloable, but technically taking out the Imperial Corvette is harder. The Imp gunboats have a smaller blind spot and more guns, and the rebel vette doesn't have any escort fighters with rear firing guns like the TIE Aggressors that defend the Star Ravager.

If you want a real challenge, try to make it all the way through the new master level duty mission that the Kashyyyk station gives out. Its far and away the hardest space mission in the game.

Im drudging this post up lol. Okay, I never bragged, wasn't meant to be a brag. I said it didn't live up to the hype. And even we got lucky the first time, no escorts. But whatever.Past that part now, moving on. Sooo...if you want to throw out some stupid statements, feel free to show off your stupidity to me.

But now, after much fighting is DS and hearing of the new Capitol Ships maybe discussion. I just thought bout how the Tie Bomber Strike is too overpowered. Instead of calling in so many tier 5's instead they should just be reduced to tier 1's or 2's. They should serve as cannon fodder more than do all the fighting for you. I'd love to fly out of a Star Destroyer or whatever, with a bunch of level 1 ties beside me and watch them get tore to bits.

All in all, my whole post was to say my ...hmm...shock at the corvette got so easily tore apart. I know, Bomber Strike even took out all the guns. That should not happen. It would be funner if they just drew attention, and were easily shot down I think now. In DS I have slaughtered many Corvettes now solo, without any bomber strike. Turret 5 down, then the others in turn, shields, engine, reactor, bridge, boom. Piece of cake.

So, some ideas were to lower the tier of the bomber strikes, and also.... um the gunboats never attacked. That could be fixed. I don't want to put Mining Lasers on to make the frigger a challenge, thats a really lame suggestion.

But with that I think I pretty much covered all that was said and hopefully you understand that I am not bragging only offering ideas to make it funner, and If you think I was braggin...well I just think you probally bit the dirt a fair amount of times against it didn't you?

lol, The only thing that is rough, is sometimes finding the thing in Kessell. But there is ways around that.
