B-wing has 1 gun, 1 missile slot and much more mass than the Advanced Xwing so it isnt totally obsolete!

It is what it is - a capital ship killer - and the best one out there - unfortunately there are no cap ships in PvP!

Here is one more advantage. the B-wing can be replaced by your local SW, the Heavy X-wing is a one time only ship.

Umm Yanus, hate to denigrate you in public BUT, by the time you went toe to toe with that corvette I took out 5 out of 6 guns, shields, secondary shields and engine and part of the bridge in my plucky, no-missiles, Xwing using my trademarked crazyman/drunkenpilot style manouveres! lol!

Or did you go for another later when I was in the pub!

It was a later one mate. I've killed 3 vettes over the weekend, and did one solo bar the bridge last night.

I have one, and I use it for phatty missions, thats about it. I couldn't even take out a Tier 3 Tie Int with it though

I have a problem with mine, maybe you all can help. With 4 lvl 7 (or lvl 9) guns loaded, my reactor is maxed. I cannot load a single launcher on it, much less 2 launchers. How are you all putting all that stuff in a B-wing? My reactor is something like 16k-17k energy (the biggest I could find, that did not weigh the same as an A-wing).

I got lucky and looted one of those rare 25k or so reactors.

Before that, I had to run reactor overload 4 constantly.

Getting to the statements of which is better, X-wing or A-wing, heavy X or B. It really is what works for you. For me personnally, I like the A-wing, I don't even keep a X-wing deeded. I'm not sayingX-wing is bad, just that I prefer the A-wing. I haven't flown my B-wing much to really make many comments about it, I know its really hard trying to follow a group mate in an A-wing in it, not because of the speed, but because of the acceleration of the smaller fighters.

Easy answer is, Imp chips. I use reactor overload 4, capoverload 4Engine overload 3 and Weapon overload 3, oh and shield shunt 3 as well. Find a friendly imp to program some chips and then stick em in your droid. U can then save shed loads of mass using a nice low level reactor and just overload it

Yup, apart from my nova (5 million mass), I always launch with reactor in the red. I don't have a fully functional ship untill I run Reactor Overload 3 or 4.

Yeah they are, sorry, CBA editing the post as I had to go somewhere. But yes, Reactor overload, Cap Overload and shunt are Freelance, engine overload and weapon overload are Imp. I don't actually use any reb programs, unless I'm going up against the vette or gunships, then it's only, Front adjust heavy.

Just on the point of reactors - if you RE one with a firespray disk in the CAT instead of one reactor - the finished produst is meant to come out with NO mass.

Dunno how this works on other components though!
